I am planning on buying my first car. my budget is 6/7 lakhs and cannot exceed that. mostly will drive it in city and occasionally long trips. I am too confused. please suggest me some good hatchback cars with good performance, good added features, descent leg space for passengers and good exterior looks with low maintenance

The final choice would definitely depend on your travel and comfort requirements but we would recommend:

Tiago and
Grand i10 Nios
Please do keep in mind that Safety might become important as time passes hence Tiago can be a good choice. But in case you are looking for better features the Grand i10 Nios and Ignis would have more appeal.

First if all Congratulations on your new Car..
Ignis is a very good car when it comes to Engine performance and ready to go mechanics. Where it raises concern is safety.
But if your movement is in the city, requirement is of mileage and smooth engine, Iginis is a good product..

I have also thought of Tata punch but as you know sir Tata company sales it's cars but when it comes to spare parts and service you know the result..

There are shortfalls in TML products thats understood, but it all boils down to your exact requirement. And as I have mentioned before, if your concerns are mileage and smooth ride, Ignis is a good product.
