Finding this send me back...church basement potluck meals, endless hours on the bus, getting the acoustic shell set up, some of us responsible for the spots in 1983-1985, and then out we went, welcoming audiences in steaming hot Florida, in steaming hot Houston, Texas, in snow-covered MN hamlets, and here it is again, the same feeling still there.
One voice, though many, one emotion finely hone, our conductor looking at you with that intense blue gaze, his passion for music, letting the music out through us. Where else can you find many doing one thing in perfect harmony like you can in choral singing.
Same exact experience with Paul J's son, Sigurd Christiansen. We share a common bond, all of us lucky to have been touched by these experiences.
***** Listening to your solos, Peter, was a great inspiration to me. I will always marvel at the Basses and Tenors of those years with PJ and his choirs.

Sang this lovely arrangement in college MANY years ago. This is awfully slow but nicely schmaltzy. I also like Mack Wilberg's arrangement.
