This story is a limitless tragedy. Clearly the first time she’s encountered a man who doesn’t succumb to her siren song. They both retreat, but she’s overcome with overwhelming fascination. Could this man love her? A warrior and a deity intertwined by a strange fate in the forest. But alas, they simply have no hope of coexisting. In likely her first ever attempt to show true affection, she draws blood simply by kissing him. She’s forever bound to her sunken shrine of the countless men she’s killed. He’s overcome by the greed of his inner conqueror. He defiles her and strips her of her beauty. She pulls him to a watery grave in her anguish and despair. The tragedy of this story is their mutual destruction of one another. Two predators consumed by themselves. This is true, undiluted art. The sort of creative expression that captures the inexpressible musings of the human psyche. I hope this wins the awards it deserves.
@BeeBop for sure. That’s a given. It did take me a bit to realize he was deaf, but as soon as his fellow horseback knight signed to him to double back it became clear why the sound was cutting out. It’s only after he defiles her and leaves her for dead that he is given the gift of hearing. Which in turn ends up being his demise. There’s so many dynamics at play in the story.
I loved it too, this was the first story I have seen in a while that has mutual villains who ruin each other in such a way you can’t help but comb through their demise and pick it apart, I think it speaks a lot to the culture of beauty and love and proves that those two (beauty and love) are not always the heroes but the bystanders in tragedy/ toxic relationships.
I’ve read a lot of explanations about their kiss and how she makes him bleed deliberately. But there is a closeup of her lips right after which shows they are made of sequins or gems and thus have sharp edges. In my opinion, she CAN’T kiss him without hurting him due to her lips being made of dangerous treasure like the rest of her body, but she is so consumed by passion for him that she NEEDS his kiss anyway. There is no avoiding kissing him without causing him bloodshed.

The name Jibaro is a term used to describe puertorrican natives. When the island was found by the conquistadors they found that the rivers were full of gold and so to obtain this, they used the Tainos of the island. They abused and murdered the natives in their efforts to obtain the stolen resources. And so this “siren” of this episode represents the gold and the Tainos that were murdered by the Spanish. @@Iconlycode00101 The term was used to describe Puerto Rican natives who were enslaved to be farmers, laborers, and rural workers. its a story about colonialism from the west ( the soldiers look like spanish conquistadors known for colonizing south america and SE Asia ) on communities/villages who were wanted for their riches like spices/metals/textiles etc ( the gold + jewels the siren wears ), and how in the end both communities suffered especially the post-colonial communities who may live on but w scars ( siren had no jewels and was traumatized in the end) . notice how she only calls on them when her property; the gold, is taken out of the water. she otherwise wouldn't have interacted with them.
no, is about a colonization in puerto rico, jibaro come from PR is like calling hillbillies in US, Jibaro- Is about how the conquistadors came to puerto rico and rape our beautiful tainas and stole everything, PR was full of gold and beutifull womans in the end the tainos rebel against them. thats history.
The directors of the Witcher must-see ps What I see is a story about this siren, it's just a metaphor of how the conquistadors, under the pretext of spreading Christianity, staged genocide for the sake of the gold of Indian civilizations and flooded America with rivers of blood, not disdaining to tear off numerous gold piercings even from living Indian women. People write about two villains, and who is the second villain? Sirens are evil only from the point of view of people, because predators, and predators for people are a permanent threat. It's not Serena's fault that she was created like this. We do not consider wolves to be the embodiment of evil. The wolf kills for food, the siren is also something like that by analogy. There is only one evil here, this greedy bastard, for whom gold is more precious than life.

Bu gün onuncu defedir baxiram möhtəşəmdir. Həyatimda hec bir videoyaya bu qədər cox təkrar baxmamışam
Iam a 3d artist and beleive me the depth of detailing is something I've never seen in any series by far........... The textures,, CGI, storyboarding and concept is something unbelievable..
Kudos to LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS whole team....
Why I love this series so much...it's so unique. The very different stories each episode-all of it is so intriguing.
This brought me to tears. It was so moving and beautiful. Her final dance killed me.
They deserve to win an Emmy for this particular episode, the music, the visuals pure art.
It's confusing, yet so beautiful. Very bedazzling.
Holy lort😳, this is one of the most awesome intense dance video I've seen, LOVE IT❤️
I know everyone else seems to love this episode. It just really creeped me out for some reason. I understand it is really well made and was unique. But it just made me feel uneasy throughout the entire episode
Good
it made that way
Which is exactly what it’s meant to do. It’s macabre plot, with animation, music and visuals that convey “hauntingly beautiful’ to backup it up
@@allajunaki Yeah I get that, but just creeped me out so I won't rewatch it haha
I've heard stories from the war when a guy went to take a shit not according to the regulations and a bomb hit the place where his squad was.
The series was insane as always and whoever made this last episode is one of the most talented directors, and special effects crew and costume design so amazing!
A beautiful retelling of the violent exploitation of colonisers.
Great video. You have me wanting to watch these all over again.
most artistic thing I've seen in my life 💗💗💗💗
One thing I never understood is why this is in a Puerto Rico setting, but looked like the pacific northwest
this episode is the best showcase of complete overstimulation and it was weirdly beautiful
This some crazy editing man...!!!!...astonishing! You made this story even more visual..shorter..and yet managed to keep the point.
My heart is on the side of this unfortunate siren girl. She is looking for love, but her nature makes her kill. But greed is one of the seven great sins. And I was very sad to see how she was torn to pieces for the sake of gold. In my version, a happy ending turned out ..... for me personally))))
@@MikleShelmez Not "great". Only siren can say to you - "great". The right word is "deadly". Deadly sins, because they leading to death... Despite this, man, editing and the song selection was really good.
Wow!!!!! Phenomenal short story. BRILLIANT!!!
amazing work the best on this series -- blown away
This is the same mind-blowing animation such as the "the witness" episode, from Volume 1, never seen that before.
from script software to costume selection. There is no human effort in the preparation of characters and animations. It is very striking that it is a product of artificial intelligence completely from a to z
Alberto Mieglo done it again. I'm down for anything from him in the future.
They Guy did one of the best and stunning episode in season one The Witness,Won an emmy, help in the development of spider man into the spider verse(won an oscar) , an Oscar to best shortfilm, and now the best Shortfilm I saw in years
I want him to get an entire anthology series all to himself. A full season's worth of animated fairy tales. He'd knock it out of the park.
this was so marvelously done.
I still can not believe that none of these was done with Motion Capture.
Wow.... this editing is mind blowing... XXX
Actually excited to see the last ep. and got creeped out on the first few minutes when she appeared 😂 the animation is absolutely stunning and the design!!
10 раз пересмотрела,шедевр,талант
Soooooo incredible. Bravo!!!!!
First time i watched it, i thought, no thats not cgi. Thats to good. But its cgi! An Incredible work of art, with a story that is fascinating. Best episode!
My jaw stayed dropped as I watched this episode...so sad that I watched it as the first episode of v3 tho. Now I don't think any of the episodes will surpass it.
This is an art piece, and quality wise the best of the series.
This was absolutely fantastic A+
Anyone else notice the lake looks like a human heart 🫀
Or even ovaries
The BEST video from this episode. Music emphasizes every split second and makes every frame a piece of art! The author of the video felt every emotion in the selection of music! Bravo!
MY GOD, THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY MASTERPIECE! I HOPE IT GETS THE RECOGNITION IT DESERVES! THIS IS BEYOND AMAZING HAHAHAHAHA!
Why are you laughing?
its a story about colonialism from the west ( the soldiers look like spanish conquistadors known for colonizing south america and SE Asia ) on communities/villages who were wanted for their riches like spices/metals/textiles etc ( the gold + jewels the siren wears ), and how in the end both communities suffered especially the post-colonial communities who may live on but w scars ( siren had no jewels and was traumatized in the end) . notice how she only calls on them when her property; the gold, is taken out of the water. she otherwise wouldn't have interacted with them.
no, is about a colonization in puerto rico, jibaro come from PR is like calling hillbillies in US, Jibaro- Is about how the conquistadors came to puerto rico and rape our beautiful tainas and stole everything, PR was full of gold and beutifull womans in the end the tainos rebel against them. thats history.
@@Virus2.0-c5z is Puerto Rico not in South America? and colonization always has cases of rape so thats implied thus the suffering in my comment
Тааам!) На томууу!) Боці де живеее!) Дві поці)
I was shocked with this episode, starts a bit discombobulated but it becomes it's own thing, it's so tragic, a masterpiece
What in the blue fuck did I just watch that was freaky as fuck.
The animators should get paid higher. They are amazing with their work.
When I first saw this I was just baffled at the animation. Like, how? It’s so insanely real and an surreal all at once.
this episode is a true gem, an impeccable performance full of emotions that make your skin crawl
The directors of the Witcher must-see
ps
What I see is a story about this siren, it's just a metaphor of how the conquistadors, under the pretext of spreading Christianity, staged genocide for the sake of the gold of Indian civilizations and flooded America with rivers of blood, not disdaining to tear off numerous gold piercings even from living Indian women.
There is only one evil here, this greedy bastard, for whom gold is more precious than life.
at 0:55 the music along with this scene is just epic
Best episode EVER!!!!!
Pure art, just amazing, the design is Unbelievable !!!!!
pero, que carajos es esto ??. esta increible !! , soberbio, artistico !! muy bien hecho .
I really wish I could see the choreography behind this...
Cause ot of action it's not really understandable but still extremely amazing
I hope we'll see some day real dancers and they beauty
This was one of the best episodes I've seen on Love, death and Robots. I also like first seasons Zema Blue. But the animation in Jibaro along with the storytelling was amazing. The graphics and coloring was just as amazing. Which I could download it and watch it where ever.
Уаааау. Я в шоке. Это так эпично и.... безумно. И красиво.
Buenísima compadre!! Alto teatro COMEDIA GRIEGA
