The reason that you saw the headlights on the meet then you didn’t was when two trains pass each other the crews dim the lights so not to blind the crew. After the trains pass the cabs of each train then they will bring the lights back up. As for the coal cars. They were rotoraries and not bottom dump cars. They need to be that size to fit in the unloading rack to spin them upside down to empty. Some places can dump two cars at a time. Steven Sipes
Impressive camera stamina on that long approach out of the fog. If there were a tripod you wanted I’d contribute to the crowd-funded purchase of it. Thanks for all you do.
Amtrak did a good example but it was a ghost train. Npcu when It debuted. They showed a guy wavin' bye to a lady but he tried to reboard when the npcu passed' and hurdled right instead of left...
A simple aluminum tube is lightweight and can be very useful in helping to support and stabilize the camera. If it is telescopic and extendable then it is very easy to carry and store. Alternatively a simple correctly sized wood stick can help and also be useful as a walking support or dog deterrent. Trains ❤ are good!! Keep a very safe distance.
It’s amazing there are not more derailments because of wonky rails. Looking down the line for a mile or so you can see those rails are not true but unnervingly crooked. The engines are literally bouncing and cavorting all over the place while trying to stay on those heaving moving uneven and sprung rails.
That train coming out from the fog was cool! One of the shortest intermodals however lol. And the usual YN2! Tried to catch any trains today after walking with my grandmother, but didn’t get any. I’ll try again tomorrow depending if it rains or not.
I have noticed that for awhile also. They need to get a large track gang in there before a derailment happens. Those lines are to busy to be ignored. With the double track it would be easy. One at a time. There are crossovers often. So repairs could be done. I think if someone would show the videos to there maintenance dept. They would jump on it quickly. Steven Sipes
24:09 I’ve seen some around where I live at they are about the exact Same size as the ones your looking at but most of them are like half the size of them.
I agree with the length of the coal cars they do look a alot longer than usual even the containers on the csx and ns trains but I differently agree with that I can't imagine life without these good trains 😊
This is the first time you referenced Blue Island!😁 But which yard in Blue Island did that tanker train come from: B&OCT's BARR Yard or IHB's own Blue Island?
Quite amazing... very impressive... I could not help noticing just how bumpy and distorted the track is... When the train passed over, l presume a crossing....how it moved about and up and down... These trains of yours carry some cargo... What are they a mile long... Great video...
Just subscribed...! Boy you sure do have a lot of interesting trains with different kinds of equipment on them...! I like when you go in front of the camera and do something... like throwing a snowball at it... shows you have a good sense of humor added to your channel... LOL Like it...!
ChainsawN&W1218, the headlights and ditch lights, eot devices and clear signals look really cool in the fog ,I guess that's what's neat about trains You'll see one when Your filming over 150 cars or more or up to 200 and over with a mid DPU or 2,or 3,and then You see one with a short consist!👍🛤🚂
That's why the _"Fogtrain"_ was taking so long... Looked like a fully loaded crude, possibly headed to one of those huge refineries in SE Pennsylvania...
Imo you need a pickup truck because if it’s a four wheel drive you can drive in the snow much better but I mean you can still drive in the snow with snow tires of course but a pickup truck will give you leverage in the snow
The indication is called a restricting. Usuly red over red over white or solid yellow. That's provided these are under NORAC rules. And not csx's own rules.

Im wondering about the horsepower of those slimline cabless dpu's in th middle of the trains, what can you tell me ???
Its 2023 now not 2022
Perfect round snowball making technique
That's one hellofa lens on your camera...WOW
Boy a train coming out of the fog that’s a pretty cool sight, plenty of fast freights in this one. Another good one WWOT.
Thanks 👍
A super slow FOGTRAIN seems to be taking forever to get up the hill, and the suspense is killin' me! You still get thumbs UP!
The suspense is the good part!
Made it feel like a ghost train 🚆

Is it me or are those tracks actually wavey🤔

The year change always catches me out too!
I like when trains appears out of nowhere
I like the trains a lot
I’m not gonna lie. I was kind of hoping that mysterious light in the fog was a ghost train in your first video. 😃
That would have been cool. With an all Skelton train crew.
Check out the southern states. Especially Louisiana. No shortage of ghost sightings there.
Amtrak did a good example but it was a ghost train. Npcu when It debuted. They showed a guy wavin' bye to a lady but he tried to reboard when the npcu passed' and hurdled right instead of left...
Nice shots of trains rolling thru the Fog - Alright!
A real pleasure to see shipping with no graffiti on it.
That was a cool train out of the fog. If I didn't know it was real I would have thought it was special effects.
Nice fog shots!! It plain up look like three separate lights floating in the fog but what it really is, is the star of show!
It sure is

I don't shoot train videos but I do shoot other subjects. I have a couple of monopods that I bought cheap with Amazon. Very worth the cost
Those first couple of trains were booking, Jack! The CSX Ethanol train was bouncing on the crossing. Looks like ballast time! Thanks Mike 👍
Barking seals high on ethanol?
@@poowg2657 Mr Tamper and Mr Ballast will hunt the barking seals back to the waters edge! High or not! LOL Cheers 👍
Thanks for watching!
When the two smaller lights start going off and on it looks like the train is boxing 😀
I didn’t know trains had turbo haha 😆 we learn something new all the time even when we’re grown
i been watching you for years. thank you
The way the lights flash, makes the train look like its swaggering

It never ceases to amaze me how long American freight trains are - most of them anyway.
Great video! It’s all out of habit for all of us but I noticed you said 2022 instead of 2023. Once a gain great work love the snow balls 👍
He even typed 2022 in the description. Not that we'll make a big deal about it being 2023 though. 😆

Nice 👍 I003 is out of South Kearny NJ, not Worcester. and M634 is empty demolition mostly for New England and NJ.
I spent 50 years on the railroad and only saw one ghost train. It was on the Big Four and in Ohio.
It’s a ghost train in the fog
Another amazing video!!
3:30 there’s the crossing where you’re always at right there you’re at
Yep
That last train looked like a ghost train coming towards you then it just flew by wow enjoyed the video keep them coming
