Great job Doug! Those headers were called 180 degree headers. I was helping with my neighbors late model when they first became a thing in east TN. Supposedly added some significant horsepower over regular headers. Only a couple of guys ran them back then and, other than the high pitched Indy car like sound, I never really noticed much of a difference between the guys that ran them and the guys that didn't.
Steve, Thanks for the info I kinda thought that was it but I think it was a short-lived fad because I never saw one at the track! Thanks for sharing and please subscribe if you haven't already, to help us continue our mission to inspire more modelers! -Doug!
Seems like this one could also be a great donor kit , to build antuer type car as a stocker , w/ that great wheel & tire combo.....kool , thanx Doug Robert
Good call Robert and the complete chassis would work for a variety of stock car bodies! Thanks for sharing and please subscribe if you haven't already, to help us continue our mission to inspire more modelers! -Doug
