@@auntdiane1578 good morning!!! I’m looking to move here this spring/summer...are you renting? Do you have any recommendations for someone with pets and can afford about 1200 a month??? Thank you!!!

Visitors are always welcome! New residents - not so much.

Is it hotter out there than towards the islands on the coast? Are summers torturous? How is life in Summerville? I have to relocate and cannot decide between Summerville, Charleston areas or the Oregon coast. Hard to decide.

We moved there in 1970. My dad was in the Navy. There was one traffic light. Now it’s a mad house with really heavy traffic at rush hour. I left in 73 when I joined the Navy. It is a nice place to live. I live in MECHANICSVILLE VA now.

I noticed I didn't hear a single strong southern accent. Must be lots of northerners moving there...

No I just returned from visiting for a job interview and that's the 1st thing I noticed also. A lot of the locals don't have strong southern accents and the ones that do sound like they are from New Orleans. Its weird

Where is the train track that divided blacks and whites.

Why do you ask that? Enlighten me.

Did you see the black lives matter peacefully protest there?

I'm white but live in mixed neighborhood. I don't think it's skin color, but family values that determine livability of an area. Where I live, most people seem to get along well, regardless of race.
