Bury the root you can get giant pumpkins.

You may want to prune it back to a few pumpkins per plant. You are likely going to get many small pumpkins that won't mature this way

Hey, thanks for the question. I bought these Burpee organic pumpkin seeds and the package only calls them Jack-O'-Lantern pumpkins. I realize now I planted them too early in the year, I hope they actually produce because all I see right now are male flowers. I'd love any tips if you have the time.

@@kevinlowry I have another variety, but it is 1/4 the length of yours, mine just developed a 3rd female flower. I know you posted this 10 months ago, but i would love to hear if you got pumpkins!

@@kermitdeefrog4131 Hey, I did get one pumpkin! I ended up adding some fertilizer the 4-4-4 kind. If I hadn't waited so long to add it I would have gotten more Im sure. Did you use any?

@@kevinlowryhey any tips ? its about one month into growing my pumpkins I put them in a seed starter and dug some holes and added garden tone and planted them on the 17th of this month. I water them once or twice daily anything else i should do?

Nice I just grew mine and they are similar to yours. Nice long vines but only male flowers and it’s mid July

Only male flowers generally means poor nutrition so try fertilizing

How long after fertilizing should I start seeing female flowers? I’m in the same predicament and decided to fertilize.

@@MrLovemydog12 It depends on how nutrient deficient your soil was to start with. I would keep an eye out for the little ball behind the flower (female flower) in a week or so.

That's what happen to me. A friend gave me one little punkin plant. 3 inches tall. I've never had one . Now its crash corse on UTUBE. It's over 8 feet long

@@kevinlowry yup! I m from South Asia and we stir fry the young leaves and shoots and make pumpkin flower fritters with a chickpea flour batter. 😊
