When Paul was signing his first book Blackbird to me I told him I loved him then I love you now and I'll love you forever. Thank you for all the great music. I'm glad I got that opportunity.
For his age and how much he tours I think his voice sounds lovely. He sounded great on James Cordan's show, I think he just needs a nice vacation on the beach and his voice will come back full force.
Thats why he is having a hard time trying to tell everyone he isnt Paul. William is 80...going to be 81 tomorrow. He desperately wants to tell the world that it was he, from Sgt Pepper on, that it was William Campbell that wrote and sang all of these songs....but he is afraid to break his confidentiality clause. More and more disclosure is coming out as time goes on...he wants you to figure it out on your own. One day the world will know....but I believe Bill will need to die before that happens.
It doesn't matter how many thousands of times I hear it, it transports me to a place of love, joy and bittersweet sadness. It was their way of saying goodbye to us as a group. But here is Paul, these many years later, transporting us to that place with his magic.
Really too bad that some folks are focusing on his voice instead of on the AMAZING fact that this man has been performing and enhancing our lives with his talent for almost 60 years! Also, it's not all about the voice - a lot of it is about the performance, the love of the craft, the chance to play music in front of an audience. Oh how I would love to see him in concert! Paul McCartney...If I could pick just one person to meet. My 16year old son an aspiring musician, and he's got something special, but he showed me his new Abby road shirt his mom bought him. I surely would love to bring him to see Sir Paul live in New Orleans this may..... But I fear it will require a small miracle..
I saw the Beatles in Baltimore in 1964. I was 14 and it was the best thing in my life! I’m 68 now but still have have those great memories. I still have the concert ticket that was $3.75 . I saw Paul again in Tampa Fl about 10 yrs ago. My son surprised me with tickets. I loved Paul the most and still do! He’s an amazing artist!
