    Digging into a different genre with this one! I love these types of movies and to watch a horror / thriller movie from India was just awesome.

    When vinayak meet his grandmother after 15 years, she said, "don't start this cycle of destruction again" or something similar, this is what she meant, the grandmother was greedy, she got 1 coin after all, vinayak was greedier, he use his power to the ultimate and his son become greediest, he didn't have patience of his father and wanted to grab all the money at once.
    And at last, when vinayak offer the pouch of goldcoin and said "take it that's all you want", his son resisted and didn't take it, that's where the story of cycle of greed ended & you would notice at that moment, the rain finally stopped.

    One of the symbolism you can clearly see is in last scene where boy walks out of the mansion.
    That scene could be done by shooting it from outside of the mansion and showing him closing the door and walk away. But director and team shot it from inside where the boy leaves us behind the mansion door. And we are locked inside; where the greed dwells... That symbolically represents that we the audience is still little greedy in our lives one way or another.

    Fun fact: The reason so many hasthars came up because of so many dolls is cause in the beginning it says that hasthar was attacked by other gods and turned into millions of fragments and goddess took him back in her womb and so millions of those fragments represent one hasthar. So the more you bring dolls each fragment turns into one hasthar.

    The era depicted in the movie is also of significance. It is the era of colonization and industrialization, where human society went for mass production to satisfy the greed of humanity and to make profit! The nature of business changed. People wanted to have more than what they had or actually needed. Instead of being content with the profits, humans wanted even higher profits, to the extent that other lands were colonized. Even today the profit hunger continues, we have destroyed multiple aspects of out planet, but the our criteria of good life is still based on good economy, earnings and profits.

    For some reason i think the Goddess womb isnt located below the ground where the crumbling house stands, it only seem that way when someone openned a portal to it long ago via some ritual. The portal opened below the ground and couldn't close it so they built a makeshift casket with a lid to close the entrance to the portal. Whenever they enter in it they transition from the known reality into some eldritch Lovecraftian domain that exist beyond the boundaries of existence.

That Tummad house(Wada is marathi name for forted house) is Actually a Fortress of Maratha commander in chief Purandare, build back in Maratha-Peshwai era in 1740... It's near to my native place, and have visited there so many times... Kokan receives high rains, but Satara & Saswad especially do not much coz it's Arid Highlands region... It receives very less rain... So they waited for years to get that much rain... That describes that they have taken so many efforts in this to make this movie..

    Off topic question… does it get stressful like a regular job keeping up with so many movie requests? Where you are not watching movies for fun/relaxing but doing it cos it kinda becomes your job like film reviewer? Haha.

    • @ChaatNChat
      @ChaatNChat  Місяць тому +5

      That's a really good question. At times it really can get stressful. There is a big difference when watching a movie for fun and watching a movie for the channel. Miguel and I have a few things we watch to relax, during which we do not say a word 😅. For these reaction videos you have to train your brain to speak what you are thinking to have relevant comments on the videos. It is kind of a window into our thought process while watching movies. There are a few reasons for this:
      1) The reactions mean something when we express ourselves and I think people find it interesting to get a glimpse of how we are understanding the movies.
      2) For us to be able to do these movies on UA-cam we have to fall under fair use in the copyright law. That fair use states that we have to make a meaningful contribution to these videos, meaning the viewing experience with us is very different from just watching the movie without reactions. So we have to make sure we are making a meaningful addition and it is hard to keep that in mind while watching movies. It can be stressful and draining to constantly speak things as you think them. However, the more we have been doing it the more natural it is coming now.
      So in short, yes it can be but we still have a good time doing these videos. Especially when we get a gem like 3 Idiots, Taare Zameen Par, and 12th fail. There are a few others I am excited for too that we watched recently - Chhichhore and Dangal.

    • @MrMonk2200
      @MrMonk2200 Місяць тому +3

      @@ChaatNChat Amazing. Never thought about the second point(making meaningful contributions) as a requirement from UA-cam. Always thought that it’s like making up identity/uniqueness of your Channel for the viewers.
      As suggestions, if it works for you guys, may be you guys can keep a notebook to note down your thoughts and discuss them after the movie. But honestly, I like when you both speak during the scene and expressing your thoughts so we know if you are on track with the story or have a different perspective altogether. It’s fun both ways. Yet making notes may help on bigger points which can’t be explained in brief during the watch.
      Anyway, glad you guys are enjoying this. As a viewer I want you to push out the content daily and not have a life. LOL. This is also because not everyone watches everything.
      I think with time you would be able afford editors to make your life easier. Also, you may be able to start introducing more guests to your channel to get yourself some off time. Check Jaby Koay (now renamed to Cinedesi). He follows this formula and it works. At least for me as a viewer. Collab with him sometime in future.
      Thanks, if you have read this far. Keep up the good work and Have a beautiful day.

    • @ChaatNChat
      @ChaatNChat  Місяць тому +1

      Thanks, on every movie part 3 includes an in-depth review of the film (which is kind of like what you were mentioning with notes)
      The other thing about talking during the movie is because UA-cam requires us to cut the video away every few seconds. We can't show much video in a row or they will remove it from the channel (in my earlier episodes I found this out very quick. I have learned a lot since our first movie)
      I already have 3 editors helping out with the edits but it is still a lot of work because I am trying to get them to edit like I do. (Currently any emotional film I take over the editing because it needs a softer approach) You might notice some of the edits feeling different but I am working on them matching my style.
      I hope that in the future I can get others to join. I have tested out 3 other people - Aaron who was with me at the start, Kayla my cousin, and JoshB who joined us for Jawan. Aaron is planning on coming back when his work slows down and JoshB is going to try to watch RRR with us.
      Once the channel gets to know them I might be able to get them to react without me. I have a few other people I would like to test out too but what is important is that the community likes them and they give genuine relatable reactions. (not to mention respect the content that we are watching)
      -Also about colab, I wouldn't be opposed but I doubt they would have me. I am a small fry compared to them 🤣😅

    Yeah, I can not interpret the last scene myself. How come so many zombies showed up. Probably that's not Hastar but just his demons, Maybe he can multiply himself based on his hunger, Maybe that's the previous humans who ended up there like Hastar. Maybe because the story has never been told so no one knows how exactly it works. But definitely the greed part. Like till the time they were getting one or two it was fine but this one was like killing the chicken to grab all the golden eggs at once story.
    I feel you might be ready for - Andaz Apna Apna. Other foreigners don't understand even 10% of it.
