Good job on this video GW. Letting the host show some personality is definitely a step in the right direction 👌 it's makes the channel more relatable and fun! Longer videos are also good. Love to see more challenges and things like this in the future
This is it. This is the kind of content I want from the Warhammer channel! Fantastic job and I’m not even a 40K player but so much interesting info in this video. Great work Ollie.
+1 for going back to show who the presenters are again and let them show their personalities, and also the fresh deviation in content from the usual corporate-feel tutorial vids. Good job GW. Next step is to turn on auto-captions maybe? :)
I am really enjoying the videos lately. Not just straight forward tutorials (which are also fine) but guides and ideas and inspiration to get painting. Great stuff.
This was great. I like seeing more of the presenters & their personalities. Also, props to the tournament organizers for letting Ollie play with an unreleased kill team.
Really liked this video. Very accessible and motivating. Highlights many of the pressures and trade-offs involved in painting to a good standard within a given timeframe. Definitely has a place in the pantheon of hobby tutorials :)
Brilliant video Ollie! I really liked the honest feel - that you weren't able to complete the challenge in time and made a few mistakes but that's okay because you had a great time and learned a lot in the process!
Great vid. I like the timed plan to keep you on track. I find it very easy to lose track of where I am up to in the painting process, so it is is a good little tip.
Videos like these put a nice personality behind the painters. Tutorials are great but really down to earth stuff like this makes it seem like someone is painting for fun and not just to make a video. Good job for the videos and good job leaving comments open, good work.
Excellent video. Really hoped to see y'all go back to this type of presentation, and a painting challenge was just a bonus on top. Big ups to Ollie, he did a great job here!
really enjoying the more characterful painting and gaming videos. Especially when it has more of a story or a concept. Love the regular painting videos but this is a treat.
Love em! They look great. Man I can't wait to get my hand on these and some scouts. Now if we can just get some more Death Korps of Krieg in plastic I'd be in heaven.
Great video! Im new to the hobby and have tons of unpainted minis so these videos are super helpful and inspiring. I have 2 beast snagga boxes and a primordial starhost box. It would be awesome to see vids of painting the battleforces! I would watch an hour or 2 of that
Good video, really nice to see GW using their YT channel in a more mainstream hobby kinda of way, honestly it was a bit over scripted for me but really well done on showing the time going over, a real thing that happens to us all, hope to see more like this and for the presenters to become more relaxed.
Well done on cracking these guys out in just over 14 hours. Thinking about it, I'd tackle them a similar way to how I painted Guilliman. Do all the gold details first, then paint all the armour and black detail with contrasts leaving that gold shining underneath. If I've got time maybe layer up the armour after. Another way to save time would be to cut out the brown step, paint all the leather black as it will reduce your colour palette and means you can tackle it in the same stage as other details.
Really enjoyed this, painting tips and an opportunity to see some of the newer models up close. Rather than panning shots of an already painted model from a few feet away. One of these for each new model released?
Really nice change of pace! Models look cool and a step towards other UA-cam content creators. What I really want to know is which KT tournament he’s off to in a few days? Know there’s one in Notts this weekend, but he can’t be taking those scorpions right?
I did my Fellgor Beastmen in 4 because I wanted to play Kill Team with my friends. lmao I never play with unpainted minis. Tbh. I was surprised how well they turned out.
Hmmm. First, a really well done and interesting video. But... If it comes down to using an older Kill Team or creating a stressful challenge, I’ll just pull out the poor old compendium Death Guard and have a ready excuse for coming last in the tournament. 🙂
There are two types of distractions when speed painting and those are a) external distractions like video games and friends ringing the door bell with interruptions and the other is b) focusing too much time on detail which I am guilty of.
Wait. You painted striking scorpions. And didnt use striking scorpion green! What next. Paint khorn beserkers and not use khorn red. 😜 Heresy brother. Get the flamer. That said. Great video. Keep up this type of content.
There is no reason for batch painting or speed painting to me. It just kills the fun. I d rather play with gray miniatures. I always have the most fun in painting 1 miniature after the other and i don't restrict myself to a certain time limit.
Good job on this video GW. Letting the host show some personality is definitely a step in the right direction 👌 it's makes the channel more relatable and fun! Longer videos are also good. Love to see more challenges and things like this in the future

Woohoo! Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed!
We need more content like this one
Are there any 1-miniature kill teams? If there are, I can paint half a kill team in 12 hours
Next season kill team will be a Primarch
Can't wait for the Knights expansion 🤣
What?! A painting challenge in the official channels?! I must be dreaming, right?
ikr i was shook when i saw which channel this was

That's great to hear! Glad you're enjoying them!
This was great. I like seeing more of the presenters & their personalities.

Not only informative, genuinely entertaining to watch, and I don't even play this army lol
Very happy to see the return of the hosts on-screen
This is the type of content we want to see, good work, i hope this continues
Really liked this video. Very accessible and motivating. Highlights many of the pressures and trade-offs involved in painting to a good standard within a given timeframe. Definitely has a place in the pantheon of hobby tutorials :)
Awesome video! Really feels more comprehensive than the usual type of videos.
These intermediate videos are great - really appreciate seeing something that gets a higher quality without being too advanced.
Brilliant video Ollie! I really liked the honest feel - that you weren't able to complete the challenge in time and made a few mistakes but that's okay because you had a great time and learned a lot in the process!
Thank you so much for the feedback!
Great vid. I like the timed plan to keep you on track. I find it very easy to lose track of where I am up to in the painting process, so it is is a good little tip.
Glad you found it useful! Have a wonderful weekend!

I’d love to take on a painting challenge like this.
12 Hours, 10 models. Might actually do this when the New Dark Angels Deathwing Knights release
Glad you found it inspiring!
Nice paint job. Those striking scorpions are THICC
Very good video GW! Ususally all those painting videos get a skip, but this one... This one was just made well!
13:10 no wonder why he exceeded 12 hours, he was painting a masterpiece on his palette this whole time!
It's nice seeing official videos showing a pretty reasonable table top quality of painting for minis
Relatable, and who doesnt love a 12/24 hour painting challenge video? Keep it up!
Excellent video. Really hoped to see y'all go back to this type of presentation, and a painting challenge was just a bonus on top. Big ups to Ollie, he did a great job here!
A step in the right direction with this video. Keep this style coming!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks!

These look amazing! Can't wait to see how the Fire Dragons will look when it's their turn for a refresh.
LOVE this style of video. Really cool challenge idea! Would love to see more of these.
Awesome video. Great results too even going at that faster pace. Cant wait to get painting some new scorpions!
Glad you enjoyed! Have a fantastic weekend!
More of this please!
Woohoo! Glad you enjoyed! Stay tuned - more on the way soon!
This kind of content is great! Would love even more of this
This is interesting and you should do more of these types of videos.
Love em! They look great. Man I can't wait to get my hand on these and some scouts. Now if we can just get some more Death Korps of Krieg in plastic I'd be in heaven.
I wish the video was twelve hours so I can see this handsome presenter more.
Great new format
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Love the new type of video
That's great to hear! Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Well done GW.
Interesting I expected you to use striking scorpion green.
Great video! Im new to the hobby and have tons of unpainted minis so these videos are super helpful and inspiring. I have 2 beast snagga boxes and a primordial starhost box. It would be awesome to see vids of painting the battleforces! I would watch an hour or 2 of that
What a great video - Really well presented!
Really enjoyed this video would love to see this tipe again

Glad you enjoyed the video! - and thanks for sharing your tips!
@@officialwarhammer I did enjoy, inspired me to paint something green, just don't know what.
You're welcome.
Do more of these type of videos, props to the painter
Glad you enjoyed! Stay tuned, and have a great weekend!
Any hints on a Karandras renewal? 🙏🙏🙏@@officialwarhammer
Awesome video... nice direction GW... even Death "Gaurd" green
Oof - good spot!
These are the kind of videos I crave! I want to try this challenge myself for my next kill team.
Do it! - and let us know how you get on!
In the mean time, have a great weekend!
I really enjoyed this project oriented video
I imagine painting each soulstone would add another 3 hours to the time. Great vid!
Really enjoyed this, painting tips and an opportunity to see some of the newer models up close. Rather than panning shots of an already painted model from a few feet away. One of these for each new model released?
Really enjoyed this one. Strong effort
Great video! Love the positive attitude!
More videos like this please!
Great video. I thought the yellow step was the turning point. Once the yellow was laid down they were starting to really look sharp.
Now that you know how long each step takes, you can see where to improve and get the time down. Then again it'll differ for other models
I can't even paint one miniature in 12 hours
Using Contrast paint for the big part (the armor) would have speed up the process, but it is nice to see different technics.
Absolutely! - there are all manner of tricks and techniques - thanks for sharing!
Really nice change of pace! Models look cool and a step towards other UA-cam content creators. What I really want to know is which KT tournament he’s off to in a few days? Know there’s one in Notts this weekend, but he can’t be taking those scorpions right?

Awesome challenge ! Massive respect 🫡 ❤
Its nice to see fun videos
Cool videos! Thanks GW
Face? Name?! COMMENTS?! I smell heresy... Jokes aside, great video, kudos to Ollie and the whole team!
I know from experience that yeah, you can paint a kill team in 12 hours. I painted my Hierotek Circle within that time
I did my Fellgor Beastmen in 4 because I wanted to play Kill Team with my friends. lmao I never play with unpainted minis.
Tbh. I was surprised how well they turned out.
11:49 honestly if your working to a deadline I wouldnt begrudge you setting that down on the tabel.
Looks great but the way he writes the No 2 bottom to top messed with my mind haha.
Do we know if the Scouts are a multi part kit? Im really digging the Astartes shotguns
We've not heard quite yet. Keep an eye on the Warhammer Community site for updates. Thanks!
10/10 Gee Dubs. This is the way.
Great job
my record for a full deathkorps killteam was 9hrs straight ...then i had em all done lol
Obvious !!! It possible in only 3h with contrast... 😊
This is good content, please continue to let the hosts show some personality :) Give a face (or several) to your brand
Could you have used the appropriately named Striking-Scorpions Green? Using this as background noise to paint my DKoK Heavy stubber team
I painted entire Space Marine half of Leviathan box in 12 hours ( it took pretty much exactly 12 hours)
Nice work!
Hmmm. First, a really well done and interesting video. But... If it comes down to using an older Kill Team or creating a stressful challenge, I’ll just pull out the poor old compendium Death Guard and have a ready excuse for coming last in the tournament. 🙂

Edge highlighting + 4622 hours
HUH? WE CAN COMMENT NOW?!!?!
OLLIE OLLIE OLLIE OLLIE #1 #1 #1 #1
A kill team is three months if lucky
Wait. You painted striking scorpions. And didnt use striking scorpion green!
What next. Paint khorn beserkers and not use khorn red. 😜
Heresy brother. Get the flamer.
That said. Great video. Keep up this type of content.
I thought I was a slow painter. Looks like I am around average 😊
Do more movies shooters
Disappointed this video isn't twelve hours long... 🙂
There is no reason for batch painting or speed painting to me. It just kills the fun. I d rather play with gray miniatures. I always have the most fun in painting 1 miniature after the other and i don't restrict myself to a certain time limit.
i can do 3 hours
oh yeah? I can do 3 seconds.
