The race hasn't come back because the pandemic lockdowns ruined everything. California lost businesses, so the state lost $, sponsors are no longer there, many left California. I don't think the race will be back. It was such a great race. I once got to be an observer in Los Angeles.
I started riding the Rose Bowl in 1973. Started racing at 21 years old. The Rose Bowl was my first licensed race. Did pretty good too. Fun times. I wish I still had that COLNAGO.
I started riding there in "87 using clip pedals! Still ride there. The last time I did all 10 laps with you crazies was in 2012 at 52. I'm 59 now. I'm always inspired when I ride there trying to keep up with the peloton.
haha,PoGacar.. Mature Tactical..Yes,he is..Before 5 years and Now..The Pink Cannibal,Pogi.. Maybe Greatest Rider of All time,haha..ok,Top10 of All time..For Now..Go,Pogi;-))
Everyone in this race looking like slender man... Everybody 30lbs underweight with no muscle and not a single person out there has ever seen a weight room. LAME
As for sprinters I am pretty sure they use a lot of strength and power training. As for mountainriders endurance is the name of the game; you dont see many elite marathon runners with surplus weight either.
correct... because the guys in the weight couldn't last 10 miles with these machines. They road 100 miles... and will wake up the next day and do it again.... the LAME guys are at the gym looking at themselves in the mirror, and are impressed with themselves.
There is a difference between the finish and highlights of the stage. I mean wtf.
I miss this race. Hopefully they comeback next year 🤞

@@vandboeffel I know bro. I just think it's a really bad look.
@@johnkoch9447They care about having a body that can perform, not a body that looks great on a magazine cover. The athleticism is what's stunning.
