They did the best they could with this video on what was probably a shoestring budget. Empire was 3 years away at this point. Give QR full credit; when Empire hit big and they finally had the money, they went back and restaged Mindcrime , and the Livecrime concert film was the result. As for the relevancy of the lyrics on Mindcrime? This is one of the best 'concept' albums recorded, there's not a bad track on it. The band was firing on all cylinders on this, and the followup Empire. Things like government corruption, media bias, and 'the man with all the answers' are universal topics and will never fade as long as humans exist.
