This album & Mind Crime are telling us about what lies ahead...the Luciferian NWO. There is even a thinly veiled Vampire reference. Chemical Youth is about the chemical sedation & castration of today's youth
I agree. After Iron Maiden, Queensryche is the second tightest group I have heard. The only knock being is that when DeGarmo left, their song writing went flat, and in their efforts to continually remain a relevant band, they kept trying to reinvent their sound. Only my opinion, but I think they should have kept on trying to better their efforts on Mindcrime, instead of continually changing their sound.
If someone offered me only one ride in time machine I would transport myself through through space and time back at this concert. This is Queensryche at their best! Magnificent...
Sammy Soretoes First Of Happy Birthday Geoff Tate 🎂 My Favorite Singer Of All Time And The Real Voice Of Queensryche. And After Black Sabbath And Iron Maiden Then Queensryche Is My Next Favorite Band.
Solanstusx Maybe you have something wrong with your ears. Geoff Tate's voice is still amazing! I saw him in Tucson a month ago and was blown away! Also, would you mind looking up the definitions for these words: write, right and rite. Thank you.
His pipes have been shot since Tribe. And he spelled it "write" because he was responding to the commenter above him, who said that Geoff and DeGarmo need to get back together and write music. The only thing worse than a grammar Nazi is an incorrect grammar Nazi.
I saw him in Nov 2012, and he sounded good, not exactly like when I saw him in '92 or in '01, but we're all older now. He's still a better singer than most other rock/metal vocalists today.
Rage for Order, the supporting tour was my second time seeing Queensryche live (The Warning being first), was absolutely blown away, just as I was every time I saw the band, which I did on every tour through Empire. Tate was perfect, each and every time. Unreal.
54 yrs old and I've seen many live acts in my time.. Only two of the hundreds left an everlasting memory with me in regard to the excellence in reproducing what was captured in studio and then surpassing it.. Queensryche first and Scorpions next.. Saw them both several times in their prime 80's & 90's and my mind was blown each time!
Have to agree, Ryche was badass, seen scorpions too, love at first sting tour, FANTASTIC I got to add iron maiden in there, triumph to.. seen alot... PEACE PEEPS
"You need attention, what's good is only mine" yay-ahh! Right here Geoff Tate yeah baby! Hahahaha..I love tbis band, this album, & this song! Hell yes great memories!
Agreed. He's not anti-America or "liberal" . He has common sense, something that most lack. He's anti-corruption and anti-elitist government. If we all ask ourselves that question, I think we can all agree with Geoff on that.
I saw them at the Whiskey-a-go-go in '82...there were only about 30 to 40 people there...it was the BEST!!..after that I seen them at least 20 times...RYCHE FOREVER!!!!
if thiers anybody listening, IMO! no matter how hard they try, thiere nobody without eachother! the way Tate,DeGarmo, Wilton, Jackson, and Rockenfeld sound together can never be duplicated! DONT TRY! set aside the differences and put out some more MUSIC! Not for money or fame, but for your fans!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!
The best voice ever tied with RJD miss that man and miss Queensryche, the band will never be the same with out him. I saw Geoff 3 times since the split first 2 great last 1 not so much and I will never go see the other one's.
I've always said this is Queensryche best concert video, the way Tate is dancing and spining the microphone, and the shirt unbutton, and getting the crowd into it, it's just perfect. Walk in the shadows ranks as 1 of Queensryche many great songs, Geoff Tate was the man back then, he aint with Queensryche no more, but i still love what music Geoff brought us with Queensryche.
i love that i was born in 1972.i got to be part of all the great music in the 80s!so many great singers and performances.so many great guitarist and drummers.music now will never touch what was put out back then ever!
This album that tis song is on ROCKS. I used to listen to this when I was stationed in Germany to get pschyed during a field exercise. Man this song brings back good memories
Once in a while I gotta revisit these old QR tracks from back in the day to remind myself of how freaking good they were back then. GT was untouchable!
Recently I've been listening to a lot of pop music and completely forgotten about my love for old rock and metal. And just listening to this song gave me a breathe of fresh air.
Geoff can still sing anything. I don't mean any range but any style. You are so right about everything here. There are hints scattered around in old stories and interviews. In the 2006 interview with Geoff and Chris they said "we'd basically be off doing our own thing" a hint at creative segregation. Geoff has said before that when he came up with the concept for Mindcrime the others didn't like it and Chris had to bring them round. Chris was the "bridge" between Geoff and the others.
This performance was solid, i remember seeing them play live just as this video, the sound was perfect! Their still my favorite band, the original Queensryche ROCKS!!!!!!!
It has BEEN 23 YEARS and I still LOVE this band! I saw them twice in 1990, and again in 94. Nothing compares to the Operation Mindcrime Album! NOTHING! I liked a ton of other Metal Bands of the 80's, but no one Stands Out like "The Ryche"! rduquet
I don't know of one heavy rock or metal singer from the '80s that can still do it. All of them have changed. It's rough singing night after night while on the road. Some so called experts will say it's a maintenance thing. There is no maintenance for that aside from fewer shows. For example, an opera singer sings a fraction of the shows that Geoff has in his career.
Well said FreeMTrider, I agree 100%, Chris was going in a new direction. He even talks about the chemistry he and Geoff had and how their writing was becoming more sophisticated, in a 2007 interview, on youtube. Can you imagine being stuck in 1989 and doing just that, over and over, never growing up or changing......
This is the REAL Queensryche, no comparison hands down.
This is how I like to remember Queensryche. Their live performances were perfect when they were at the peak of their career, and this is it!
Judezki92 Happy Birthday Geoff Tate 🎂 My Favorite Singer Of All Time And The Real Voice Of Queensryche.
SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE CD.... THAT'S PERFECITON ON STAGE!
This album & Mind Crime are telling us about what lies ahead...the Luciferian NWO. There is even a thinly veiled Vampire reference. Chemical Youth is about the chemical sedation & castration of today's youth
Incredible live. Sounds studio. Making it look easy too.
I was very lucky to see them twice , once in 89 and again in 91
Chris DeGarmo: The most underrated songwriter & lead guitarist in rock history!!!!Chris DeGarmo is Awesome!!!!

And after Queensryche he left music to be a jet pilot.
Chris DeGarmo was a genius as a songwriter and as a guitar player and I definitely agree with that
Their best song. Should have been a massive radio hit.
Eyes of a Stranger was their best.
That's why it was their encore.

In their prime, you will not see a better live show. PERIOD!
That ☝️
RUSH has entered the chat,...

Can you(and the time machine) swing by my place on your way out....just drop me off say 1980 or so....i'll pack snack/drinks
@@Scheherazade-wq1ve sounds like a plan! 👍
Queensryche at their prime. Man, I haven’t listened to this song is years. This group was my fav metal band back then. I miss those days
The original linup was so powerful!
Yep
one of the most UNDERRATED bands ever
Sammy Soretoes First Of Happy Birthday Geoff Tate 🎂 My Favorite Singer Of All Time And The Real Voice Of Queensryche. And After Black Sabbath And Iron Maiden Then Queensryche Is My Next Favorite Band.
Dorkus Finelstein absolutely underrated. There is more talent on that stage than probably any 10 top 40 bands today combined.
until empire album
Everytime anyone makes the "most underrated band...." comment,I always point them towards Kyuss.
That's an understatement the whole band was great Geoff Tate's voice phenomenal
I saw them back in the early 90's, but I never knew how truly amazing they were. Geoff Tate still is one of a kind. What a voice.
DeGarmo's playing, pure style.
Come back Chris! Geoff and yourself have more great music to write!
Write, sure, but Geoff sure as hell can't sing anymore.
Someone doesn't follow the Ryche at all...
Solanstusx Maybe you have something wrong with your ears. Geoff Tate's voice is still amazing! I saw him in Tucson a month ago and was blown away! Also, would you mind looking up the definitions for these words: write, right and rite. Thank you.

I miss this GOLDEN TIME 🥲
Geoff Tate Cris De Garmo were the heart-N-Soul of QUEENSRYCHE.
There is no one out there even close to Tate's vocal's or showmanship.
One of the greatest voices in Metal history.
Queensryche performing live. No studio magic required.
u said it well bro.
Still rocking to Jeff in 2022. The best singer queensryche had....
Yep 👍👍 can’t beat good metal
Geoff , Chris and boys. you sound even better than ever. Time to re unite.
Their harmonies have never been matched by any other metal bands...& to hear them live only proves how incredible they were/are!
💜🤘💜
The boys harmonizing those high notes at the end?! *Drool!

Scorpions are soooooo good live
I got to see them in 88 and 91 very good live back then
That’s right! Geoff ,DeGarmo, and Scott are Queensryche! Always will be
Chris and Geoff. Will never be a magic combo like this ever again
There will never be another one like that ever until they are back together if not so be it.
Tate and Dio were such perfectionists.....top 2 voices in rock history period.
"You need attention, what's good is only mine" yay-ahh! Right here Geoff Tate yeah baby! Hahahaha..I love tbis band, this album, & this song! Hell yes great memories!
This song live or original gives me still goose bumps even after almost 30 years!
This is musician's music. I think that is why they never became more mainstream.
Everyone was pumped in this video. Good energy.
One of the best right here!
One of the best 80's metal bands of all time & no doubt the KINGS of progressive metal!

This IS Queensryche 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
When the movie "Interview With a Vampire" came out and then later heard this song, this song would have been excellent for the sound track
An amazing 80s metal classic, still fresh sounding today.
QR are so underrated ! one of the most creative bands of the 80-90s!
