a modern Hippopotamus could handle alot of prehistoric animals, Including dinosaurs But the climate in africa Would have been very different from now.
But in a hypothetical battle (If a hippo and suchomimus fought)
The hippo would have a better chance on land,Because it's possible suchomimus could swim While hippo's just kinda chill in the water.
Suchomimus would take the win in water, On land is kind of a 50/50 Since they would probably be both fast and strong.
And suchomimus was possibly slightly heavier and might have had a stronger bite.

People are really underestimating the Suchomimus. In the show, it still had a good enough size advantage as well as its big claws to help it win. In real life, Sucho still wins due to it weighing 5 tons, and that specimen may have not been fully grown. The largest hippo barely reaches 3 tons and are typically 2 tons
Largest hippo is 4.5 tons

Gotta admit, the march up is actually really good, wasn’t expecting the sucho to fight a hippo at all. Was just expecting the show to be about the Dino’s but I love it (and also pains me) to see modern day animals get killed by other creatures/monsters (The tiger in the walking dead being one example which shouldn’t have happened)
Seeing the hippo put up such a damn good fight only to presumably get its neck pinned down and strangled by the sucho or get its neck tore open by it is such a savage way to go and really saddens me to see since hippos are so damn deadly already and Suchomimus even if genetically modified shouldn’t of been able to take down due to its thick hide but then again suchos teeth are so long it could be the key reason why if one

Hell of a fighter and makes sense why the fight lasted so long, hippo hides are hella durable and Sucho’s jaws aren’t built to do heavy damage to prey besides fish so it was an endurance battle which the hippo lost since it couldn’t exactly run away due to the fact the sucho is a land and sea animal. The hippo was just outmatched but it did put up one hell of a fight

Dinosaurs or Dangerous animals alive today like hippos,rattlesnakes, jellyfish,tarantulas,buffalo,sharks WHICH IS WORST!?
For humans; sharks are not very dangerous, we don’t spend long in the water. Tarantula are even friendlier than sharks and cannot hurt you as easily. Rattlesnakes aren’t to bad either. Jellyfish represent a diverse and large group of animals arguably more so then sharks, I believe the box jellyfish alone kills around 100 people. Buffalos and hippos are both hyper aggressive, but hippos do kill a lot more people. So between the animals you listed either hippos or jellyfish, otherwise humans followed by mosquitoes.

Hippos are one of the few megafaunal animals that actively cause deaths to humans. Most large animals rarely cause deaths because they’re either too scared to us or they only act out when provoked.

While it’s not technically a prehistoric creature, seeing this Hippo fight a Suchomimus really makes me want to see other fight between dinosaurs and other creatures, namely Cenozoic Creatures, like the Paeloexoodon, or even a Terror Bird.
