Outstanding quality vid bro . . Alot of work for the time stamps etc all the camera angles. . You make great vids . . Im from Cairns QLD the area your in looks very similar . .🏍
I think it's so hard to show the difference in sound through a recording but this does a good job. I've got this for my crf 300l and it just sounds so good. Because of how single cylinder thumps it's louder than my 2008 gsxr 750 with a full exhaust at idle.
Very well done vid mate. I have the same system on the same bike and you’re spot on with everything in your content. This exhaust is way lighter than stock and runs cool. Engine seems to breath better and rev cleaner. Maybe just add a small heat Shiels to the muffler if carrying soft panniers. Great job mate.👌
Well put together video, covers everything. However I didn't see the weight of the Acro system to compare and get a weight savings figure. I guess you were too excited to get it installed and forgot. Anyway good job video was very well done. 👍👍
@@TwoWheelsTooFar Cool thanks for the info, picking up my Rally tomorrow. It's nice to know these figures, so I can maybe justify adding lower crash bars or something that weighs a bit. Ive also got a T7 and went a bit overboard, With crash bars, rack, baseplate, centerstand etc. I added about 15kg to it, Damn. When I put luggage on it to go camping it's a quarter of a Ton. 😱
I ended up with SRC crash bars and I didn't actually notice a difference, perhaps because the weight is so low. Either way, chuck all the accessories on and it's still easier to pick up than a 'big' bike!
@@TwoWheelsTooFar I'm hearing you. Spent 20-30 hrs at least, editing my last video, and it died after 266 views. I have another with over 136k views still getting regular views, I can't figure it out. (This was a video I nearly didn't put together) Anyway, I understand the work, you have a knack, stick with it.
So I've come to a place where I just learned about this Rally model, I like it. I gotta ask about all these plastic's that are on the bike & the rather cheap plastic push-clips you showed how to remove? Is it me or does it seems flimsy? I trust you since you got the tools after her & are in a position to know? Are their any protective systems to keep all that plastic underneath & on the sides not to be destroyed or are they tougher than they look? I'd think a tougher skid plate needs to protect the engine but do you pull the plastic & use some other piece or is their some wrap-around pipes/slides, ect? Sorry for all the questions but as you pull all of it off I worry about their replacement costs? Am I worrying too much about nothing ? Anyhoo, thanks for the breakdown of this process. peace
So did the "sensor" get connected on the new muffler, I missed it? Also, I'm guessing you did an ECU upgrade later? I'm "subb'd up" to you now so I can go look for that info. Before I buy this bike I wanna know what I might end up doing down the line & any issues that might be found? Thanks again, peace
@@diggy-d8w Hey mate, I did get an ECU upgrade but the bike ran fine beforehand. The bodywork is mostly held on with bolts and is very secure but like any adventure/dual sport, if you drop it hard, it will break. The little plastic clips are used a lot in bike/automotive bodywork and are more for positioning than strength. If you don't need to go on the highway and plan on staying local, I would consider the 300L rather than the 300 Rally. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@TwoWheelsTooFar I want to swap out the stock exhaust to this one as well, and I see you mentioned the bike ran fine with the stock ecu. So, no codes or anything wonky? Has the fuel economy changed? Thanks in advance
@@EastboundDwn It ran fine, no errors or issues, had it on for months. In the end, I upgraded the ECU and the difference is impressive. 550 Performance in the US or if you're in Aus try SSS Motorcycles (I went with their ECU)
is it me or does the engine just not have a very interesting sound? the Akra sounds better, but me personally I wouldnt bother as its just shades of gray. a single like the DRZ sounds fairly decent, for example.
Nobody should be doing a video sound test or comparison of any kind without high quality audio specific recording and replay equipment to accurately capture and represent the true sound. Otherwise it's useless.
Oh mate, I'm so sorry! I put together a video that you can watch for free and didn't buy expensive sound equipment for a scientifically accurate comparison. Truly, what a monster I am. Anyway, feel free to make your own ;)

Nice video, shout out for the awesome scenery at 11:13.
You forgot to show how it looks!!! Estetic
Worth the dollar! Sounds better in person. Deep brap! Easy to swap out, too!
Top video mate. Loved how you showed videos of both exhausts. Might have to get one now!

Yeah, sounds even better than I was expecting
Perfect video editing.
Thank you!
I like the original sound too and that it is not so loud.
Deeper low end "mourns" better than original.
The last thing I would change on the CRF is the exhaust. It desperately needs a suspension upgrade and decent tires.
Thanks for sharing , very nicely done. Step by step. ...loved it.
Thanks Daniel, glad it was helpful :)
Very nice video, well done. Looks like North Queensland....?
Shonky! I love your stuff mate, yes indeed.
The original exhaust system weight 5.2 Kg. How much for the Akrapovic?
(Maybe I missed this info in the video???)
Excellent Video.
Thank you :)
6:15 is this thing included in the exhaust kit?
Hey Daniel, it is indeed!
@@TwoWheelsTooFar I already have akrap :D

Hahaha Jethro, you've caught me there! It is a 2.7kg weight reduction versus stock
And thank you for the kind words, it takes quite a bit of time to put videos together, much appreciated

I'm not sure, sorry

Nice!
Does this muffler have to be repacked every so often?
Nope, unless you damage it or something?
