Surprised Yud didn't discuss Brawler on the Fanatic, it's easy to access than Block and can keep the hits safe. OK it's not playing 100% into your strategy of pushing pieces, but it's worth mentioning the interaction.
Thank you both for this, best guide video yet! A Q for Yud if I may, for NAF type tournaments (1.15-1.2M TV) where Goblins can take star players (but mega stars (ie bomber!) maybe not), do you take them (& sacrifice RR/bribes/goblins) or is it more important to stick to the 15/16 players, 3RR and 3 bribe ‘baseline’? Thanks!
Personally I do not consider it unless it is a 'skills budget can be used on roster' type ruleset where I don't need to sacrifice things. This is, to some extent, playstyle dependent. It's certainly possible to do it within 1.15-1.2 and do well and many take that approach. I prefer to play without stars generally.
It's a shame skitter isn't in the game yet. I recently placed second at a local tournament using goblins as a skitter delivery machine and playing underworld style antibowl and just fouling everything with a sneaky git ooligan
The description in the Pro skill is "Once this player has attempted to use this Skill, they may not use a re-roll from any other source to re-roll this die. Though thinking about it, using Pro and then rerolling the Pro roll on a fail is a better chance. But I'm not sure it is worth the extra TV - it is nice as a prayer to nuffle!
It wasnt brought up at all but i think its kind of interesting, since goblins are a reroll heavy team, and you only really need 2 types of goblins according to Yud, a sacker and something to help the sacker with guard, once you've got those two players in place is it reasonable to start randoming Pass skills on a goblin to try and spike leader? It seems like a 60k tv goblin with leader is significantly better than spending 60k tv on a reroll and you arent really doing anything with the goblins beyond that anyway.
It is worth considering, but the problem is, it likely takes a long time to get it, and you can't really protect it - so it either becomes a 'put on the bench and leave give yourself a one turn reroll if you need', or a 'dies very quickly'. I think for goblins if you take a leader it needs to be the troll.
@@yudlugar Massively appreciate the reply and totally understand the logic, I actually happened to spike one a few hours after posting this on the BB3 ladder so we'll see how long the little guy lasts. Thanks!
Can you post some of Yudlugar's games as a guest coach here? Or badger him into starting a channel? I'm US and watch YT at work, and I don't get on twitch often (though I'll make sure to find him next time I'm on some weekend).
@21:05 - "trying to get things toward the sideline and surfing them is pretty effective" - Andy, I think we all saw that little smile! lol
Nice to hear a Gobbo coach. Also interesting to hear not using the mb on the fanatic, sounds very reasonable for sure

realy enjoyed both parts
Hellboy has found his calling 😂😂😂
Great guide. You may have inspired more Gobo coaches.

REALLY?! I am not even done with part one. They are just yeetables with chainsaws how could they be so complex?
If you fail the pro 3+ you can still use a team re roll to rr the kickback, pro is just a free chance

It’s Yudlugar on twitch, you can go to the video tab to find old live replay and look at his game when you want
@@sokudohi yeah - I'll do that on the weekend but I mostly watch BB during the work day and twitch is sadly blocked.
What an intro
