Very interesting indeed. Not my period, but a big fan of Lion Rampant and would love to see this concept extended to other stuff.
If you like the mix of historian and wargames then have a look at Prof Phil Sabin’s Lost Battles - rules, historical scenarios and a very detailed discussion on the history driving the rules design.
This rulebook looks like a god damn textbook.
I wonder if this will be incorporated into the Lion Rampant 2nd ed they just announced...

What a load of #### . Have to say one of the wrost set of wargames rules my club as ever played. It's a complete joke. Most of us have been wargames 30 to 40 years.

Can you say what's actually wrong with it?
What do you thing is wrong with the rules? Like Adam said, it is mostly for casual gamers so the rules are simple and abstract.
This should be the standard for historical wargaming imo.
