- The Lord has not, and will not forget us. “Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created all men, and that I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea?” (2 Nephi 29:7)
Artist Shelby Stroud gathered over 25,000 shells from Alabama, Florida, and Mexico to create this portrait titled "I Remember Those Who Are on the Isles of the Sea". No shell is forgotten and each contributes to the whole. It is comforting to know that the Lord has not and will not forget us.

I love the artists composition of the Savior. It exudes compassion, mercy, and understanding unvompared. Sometimes words speak less and here I see. His eye is on the Sparrow, and for those of us in the Pacific, upon the shell as well. Beautiful ❤

I am unsure however what is meant by whether or not the Lord will forget a person or a people. What is meant by this? Is this what we tell the war casualties and that their enemies are actually doing the lord's work? Is this what we tell the exploited and abused?! To the homeless and hungry who have petitioned for help and were given a book of mormon and promised it would solve their problems?! To Those humble and righteous elderly and families who's homes were destroyed by tornados and hurricanes?! Who is this message for or directed to?! Is this what we tell them? 🤔

no, that is not what that means. it means that He will never forsake us. He will temporarily leave the 99 and seek out the 1 lost sheep. He will always hear ALL of our prayers.
"29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered." Matthew 10
He cares so much about His creations, that even if a sparrow falls to the ground, it will not be unnoticed by the Lord. He clothes the lilies of the fields and He feeds the birds of the sky. even one singular hair on our head are accounted for.
He loves everyone!
It is so beautiful and reminds me of the story about the little boy who was throwing shells with live animals still in them back in the ocean and someone criticized him for doing it. He was told there was no way he could throw all of them back in the ocean. The little boy threw one more back in and he said, “It mattered to that one.🥰
