Returning by Dale Trumbore

Live performance at KSCI 2022 with Kantorei KC combined with the KSCI Choral Scholars and Artistic Director, Chris Munce. Our program was entitled "Returning to Community." This work is beautiful in its own right, but the addition of an opportunity for audience participation really spoke to our need for connection and community.
"While this piece is secular, not sacred, it very much speaks to the idea of faith. At every performance of this piece that I’ve witnessed, I am continually astonished at how the simple audience refrain has the power to transform an audience of strangers into a community."

RETURNING
I have learned this:
if you stay in one place long enough
they will return to you.
