  • The New Holland Super Hayliner 68 taught me a bit more than I expected so I decided to post a video sharing what I learned. Covers general inspection, lubrication, and adjustments necessary to get this old baler working. Also shows a demonstration of how it all turned out.

Also the spring is missing that pulls on the plunger stop into the bale chamber. Spray linseed oil on the plunger wood slides.

The plunger stroke is 60 a minute, it was going too slow in that vid, Dad bought a hay liner 68 in 1964 used it for 20 seasons, averaged about 20,000 bales a year, it was a very reliable baler better than the NH 276 that replaced it.

It is a great tractor. Reliable, easy to care for. It just works. Front end loader is just so useful. I have some things I want to fix/change on the tractor. Probably winter projects. When I do, I'll make sure I record it.
