RIP Bill Paxton! I think Chet was one of his best roles!!
How about a nice greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ash tray was ad libbed by Bill Paxton.. When Bill and his brother were still living with their parents they both came home drunk late one night & their father was waiting up on them & noticed that they were too drunk ( Getting a little green around the gills ) So he tried to intentionally make them throw up ( Whether to teach them a lesson or because he thought it would be funny Bill Paxton didn't say ) But Bill said that's when he looked at the two of them & said " How about a nice greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ash tray " Sounds like a great dad that should write children's Books right? Well maybe not because Bill's dad also provided the ad libbed line from True Lies " She's got an ass like a 10 year old boy " Lol, I don't even wanna know the story BEHIND ( no pun intended, well maybe a little ) that one..Which works out perfectly because Bill Didn't offer one... He just said yeah that one also came from the old man along with good directors know what to take out but they also know what to leave in... As for the line, some times it's better not to ask... Lol.. RIP Bill Paxton...
Bill Baxton RIP 😔
He was hilarious. "I didn't think it was a whales dick."
“Game over man game over”
I'd like to butter your muffin
Kelly LeBrock: the heartthrob of every American teenager in the 80s!
okay, drop and give me 20
Kelly LeBrock looks like a completely different person! Too much plastic surgery.
Aww the 80s, what a wonderful time to be a teenager. 2023 52 yes old and the world's gone mad.
I will be 52 this year as well and I agree.
@@mikepalmer2219 keep you and your family safe brother love from UK
i 💯 it was a great time being a teen
Totally hear ya there mate im 53 this year
LOL, massive economic recessions, The Cold War in full swing, and the planet on the verge of nuclear annihilation... I'm a child of the 80's too, but just because you're nostalgic for something, that doesn't make it good.
It is incredible how they can be so cool, with such a good energy with the crowd while having an awful host
Yeah, what kind of host starts out by essentially giving her little woke speech about how she thought the movie was going to be creepy and not age well. Making the actors and the fans of the movie feel very uncomfortable from the start. Who the hell is she? I hope to God they fired her after this. She is pretentious and self-serving and obviously just goes along with whatever the popular thing is at the moment, to feel like she fits in.
Totally disgusting and I truly couldn’t believe she started the interview like that. Just a horrible person whose self serving agenda is more important than other peoples feelings. Thank God, the crap is going away. Because, it’s going to go down in the history of the United States and the world as one of the worst human moments in the history of mankind. Let’s piss all over the constitution by destroying freedom and the freedom of speech, simply to push forward an agenda that doesn’t serve humankind well at all. It creates a rift between people and draws a line in the sand that makes everybody walk on eggshells, simply to appease a small percentage of the population.
The scary thing to me, was how many people were willing to go along with it… Simply because it was the flavor of the month. it goes to show what happens when people have way too much time on their hands, thanks to a pandemic. They start pointing fingers and becoming holier than thou because of their own beliefs and if you don’t follow them… You are a horrible person. Lol.
This lady has never seen Weird Science until she had to prepare for this interview.
That's not what she says in the introduction; listen to her again...
She kept saying it’s creepy? She hasn’t watched it.
That woman never drunk a duff in her life!
@@MikieLAX it's obvious she didn't see it.
looks like Nobody on that stage ever watched the movie!
When Anthony Michael Hall was playing cards with men and talking smack in Weird Science he had me rolling! Thought his acting was phenomenal,in that scene
Ahh yeah that blind dog bourbon
Yes that is the best scene.
My favorite was "He doesn't even has his license Leetha" in the backseat of the car, LOL

Weird Science came out when I was 15. Perfect age for this movie and I still love it to this day. One of my favorites.
RIP John Hughes and Bill Paxton
mdb831 It must have been from eating the Blue Potato Chips! 😥
And Steve James, from the bar scene.
They organized a outdoor movie theater, Summer of 2019, I forgot Bill Paxton was in this, HE WAS FREAKING HILARIOUS ! Gone too Young, but we still have Kurt Russel.
Chet!?
@First Last Robert is alive and well.
Weird Science was one of the greatest movies.
It still is
Way better then the hot garbage we get today
I had a great time and laughed at this film. I saw it in Richmond Virginia on a business trip.
💯💯
I miss the 80s
Its up there with Weekend at Bernies.
Kelly LeBrock is a very talented and underrated actress, even critics that dismissed Weird Science positively commended her performance. If it wasn't for those "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" commercials and her marriage to Steven Sagal, I think her career would've went further.
Kelly labrock like so many others got extremely ugly because of plastic surgery. Grow old gracefully and your career will stay afloat. Betty white is a perfect example. She had beauty and class Her entire career!
It's a shame her cosmetic surgeon isn't very talented.
I turned 15 in 1987. It was a fine time to be young and alive. John Hughes set the mood teens...no question.
"I'm tellin' Mom and Dad everything.......I'm even considering making up some shit" RIP Bill Paxton!
For christ's sake will you cover yourself!
That looks pretty good, now make yourself one
Not having a good time? Do you think they're having a good time being catatonic in a closet!?

Possibly the worst way EVER to start an interview/reunion. One of my fav films ever! John Hughes = legendary 80’s films!
Kind of but that's a legit concern too considering the movies plot
I agree. What a dumbass. So sick of the butthurt generation.
@@TheitaniofRome It's PG-13. Please! 🙄

This interviewer makes me want to puke
Anthony deserves a sit com. He has a really good sense of humor
Anthony Michael Hall grew up very nice. I noticed that growth since the TV version of the Dead Zone.😊
The chemistry between the actors is one of the major keys to the film's success... John Hughes selected actors who had good chemistry together.
@@heathergittens3223 He was Great in The Dead Zone. His Co-star from The Dead Zone Nicole De Boer played Ezri Dax on Star Trek DS9.
He was in a few episodes of Psych. At the tail end of the series.
My favorite part in the movie, was when they were in the club sitting down drinking and the blues music was playing. AMH said the line "What that boy be talking bout...on the telephone...", it ALWAYS made me crack up!
"Explain it to him" 🤣
She's into malaccas Dino! Then the laugh Dino does makes me laugh so hard tears start rolling.
"every damn night?" "talking to that girl with them big big titties?"
I am really taken by how genuinely kind and gracious Anthony Michael Hall is to all the audience members who had questions
He’s a lot nicer than I thought 😊
@@jonnydanger7181 why was there a reason you thought he might of not been nice?

ILAN STILL SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME, ANTHONY STILL HAS HIS PRECIOUS HUMOUR AND KELLY STILL LOOKS STUNNING HOLY
Yes, exactly the same!❤😊
I just LOVED watching Kelly take a shot at "Hard to Kill." It's amazing how wonderful she sounds and looks after surviving being married to a sociopath.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤭👍🏼
"Survived" 😂😂😂🙄
Worse, having his kids. I suppose karma has kind of caught up to him as he's now a bloated land-whale relegated to strictly straight-to-DVD/streaming fare and she's still attractive as a "mature" woman. I'm amazed Seagal hasn't seen a court room/seemingly faced any repercussions for the numerous sexual harassment/assault claims against him.
@@sooners765 no dude he beat the shit out of her lol! Didn't you hear?
@@jackburton6330 I heard her accusations. I didn't know that made him automatically Guilty. Cops being called, showing off some bruises & making accusations doesn't make some other person Guilty. My favorite part: Mom: “Ooohhh Gaaaarrry!”. Dad: “Who da hell is Gary?” 😂😅😂😅😂
you told me you were combing your hair!!
Ilan's voice today is almost exactly the same as when he was fifteen.
John Hughes in my opinion is one of the best directors. I just love all of his work because he knew what it was like growing up in the 80’s. If you grew up in that time period, these movies are right on!
Now make yourself a movie, dickweed! (Chortles)
Graduated in 1985. It's only "creepy" if you didn't live through the 1980's and you're consumed by the thought that everything is "triggering" and/or "racist". His movies are legendary for our generation. Nothing but fond/nostalgic memories when watching them.
John Hughes is bullshet. Spielberg is the best
Love you, forever, guys! Especially the late Bill Paxton, i truly idolized him as an actor and I still mourn his death and the fact i will never have the pleasure of meeting this beautiful man!!!!!!
Love how AMH rubs it in that interviewer's face about starting the interview off with "creepy". Hahaha. What a class act. Smooth as always. Funny guy, he is!
yeah that pissed me off that she had to start the interview straight out of the gate with that bullshit, and liked that it seemed like it slightly rubbed him the wrong way and he kept making comments about it.
Watch it again - she actually said "it has aged well and it is NOT creepy" But to your point, it appears AMH didn't hear it that way either and mentioned it several times during the interview.
@@newwavepop Watch it again - she said the movie was NOT creepy. All good.
@@tedsaunders6249 AMH might actually not have heard it wrong, and I did. I guess I'm just sensitive to modern times where even trying to court a woman is considered "creepy". But, that's just my own eyes and ears. Hahaha. "Oh, what a world, what a world" - Yogurt ;p
"Creepy" like "racism" is a word that means nothing anymore because some weirdos decide to overuse it and devalue it. Ironically shooting themselves in the foot about that lame mission

RIP John Hughes and Bill Paxton. All of the 80's teen brat pack films by John Hughes are legendary. Ilan Mitchell Smith, Anthony Michael Hall are brat pack legends of the 80's, I also cannot forget Rob Lowe, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, Charlie Sheen and brother Emilio Estevez and the guy from Weekend at Bernie's. Legendary 80's teen pioneers. Kelly LeBrock is still superhot gorgeous.
Anthony is like that really funny guy you knew and you just know he's going to say something funny!
This was great. We need to see more of Anthony Michael Hall on TV and film.
I got up at 5am sometime in June 1988 to study for an exam I had to take at 9am and instead watched weird science on VHS. I miss the 80s and some how passed my exam. Thanks John Hughes 😁
It set the right mentality and atmosphere!
One of my all time favorite movies ❤👍
I love Kelly and Anthony Michael Hall! Great movie!

Did we just become best friends!!!
Love the theme song. Oingo Boingo with Danny Elfman.
Kelly LeBrock in Weird Science and The Lady in Red was imo top 5 most beautiful women to grace the screen, even by today's standards.
She said Hard to kill was a horrible movie to be in.
Didn't expect that.
lol
Another movie Siskel and Ebert got wrong ... Weird Science is a total classic.... such a fun movie.
Ilan Mitchell-Smith is so amazingly down to Earth, wonderful!
Yes he is.
The interviewer just started off on such a negative note.
Feminists always do.
@@sadako24 Karens will do that
One look at her.
this is how you interview when you are so WOKE.
i think she is terrified that someone will accuse this movie of objectifying women so she is awkwardly trying to immunize herself from that criticism. and wasting everyone’s time in doing so.
"Gary was just taking a sh**" - SLAP! So funny!
Maybe we can put our nose to the doors we could smell the food lol
Kelly looks PHENOMENAL here. Better than ever. Love it. Films like the ones John made are sorely missed. But seriously.....Kelly.....WOW.
Lessons in humility. Weird Science is one of my favorite movies ever. The cast here is a class act.
Personally, I love the song, "Weird Science", its upbeat and the extended version is very cool and 80's. I jam to the song everytime I hear it on the 📻.
Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo owned the '80's.
Love Oingo Boingo and that was the first song I was introduced to. Now I saw a video of Danny talking about filming the video he hated since he didn't have control of it. I'm not sure he felt the song was his low. I could be wrong but that song brought them more national fame than any other of his songs at the time .
Dead man's party is my favorite but for sure, weird science is great. Never knew he felt that way about it. Are we sure that guy didn't read some bunk info?
Before Weird science, Ilan Mitchell-Smith played a totally different type of character in a movie called "Wild Life". Odd thing is his voice is still very similar.
John Hughes was brilliant! Thank you for making the 80's and 90's so great!
Kelly looks really good. She dropped that weight that she struggled with at one point in her life.
Good for her!
Off the coke
@@dougiewugs5434 Coke don't make you fat. But yeah. I imagine a bombshell actress in that time period was surrounded by the coke scene.
I’d still love to hear her ask me what I’d like to do first.
The worst dead weight she ever dropped was Steven Seagal.
Those neck-tucks are adding up. It's just called a "fold-over" every time she goes back now.
I'm an 80's kid and LOVE Weird Science!! That, along with many movies in that era have stuck with me and will for life!

I grew up in the 90's and I like this movie a ton.
From comedies to horror, the 80s had the best movies.
Weird science was the first movie I ever went to the movies & seen with a friend by are selfs , we were only 12 years old & it was a PG13 movie . My wife watched Weird Science with me for the first time a few years ago. Once the credits were rolling, she looked over to me and said... "I get it, it's Mary Poppins for teenage boys." wow!
That's a fair explanation. I guess.
That’s hilarious, and pretty spot on.
That's a pretty good thought

That is the best explanation I've ever heard.
So many funny scenes in this film! Anthony at the bar talking, Kelly with his parents and her interactions with Chet. Kelly is a great comedic actress, Love her delivery and of course her beauty.
If you're watching old movies and your goal is to see if they are "creepy" or not you are doing it completely WRONG! Anothony hell of a job calling her crazy ass out!!!
Thank-you! I specifically wanted to see if anyone reacted to that the same way I did. I actually stopped the vid and checked and - wala! - you nailed it. I hadn't even seen AMH's call out (did before scribing this) - spot on. To rephrase her question in the most appropriate way, she should have said, "I watched it last night and said to myself, 'I hope it as good as I remember.' "
some movies don't age well if you're watching them through modern day glasses, her obvservation/commentary wasn't that far fetched or crazy. It was a giant compliment to John Hughes and the writing.
Totally. It’s as if the current generation has to research every thing that an artist has said or done in the past before they decide if they like the art itself. It’s so fucking lame and detrimental to art itself, of all kinds.
@@leroyjenkins7968 she’s one of those people who takes herself and movies too seriously and probably everything else. She likely advocates for changing or deleting scenes from classic movies because they don’t fit into a modern narrative.

Ilan Mitchell-Smith comes across very analytical and honest. I'm not surprised that he became an academic.
Absolutely
And possibly too far left.
I’ll always feel connected to these John Hughes movies. I was in high school in the 80s and grew up in Northbrook, which is where Hughes is from and filmed a lot of stuff for these movies. This movie had a big scene at our local mall and quite a few more in nearby Highland Park. Gary and Deb’s house is on the same block as Cameron’s house from Ferris Bueller and Joel’s house from Risky Business. Jake’s house from Sixteen Candles is the next block over.

The 80s scene in Chicago was huge and I remember everything awesome about that decade

@@jaygribbin1667 Yeah, it WAS cool, looking back now. It was almost as if Hughes was making movies about my town. I suppose I realized that at the time, at least partially. It was all very familiar. But I took it for granted in that I thought everybody in the country was experiencing the same thing. Sure, these films still resonate today with people all over, but there is something very specifically North Shore (Chicago suburbs) about them that I didn’t grasp until later.
