I've never seen someone try to personify themselves as both a warrior and savior of humanity, and an absolute nihilist at the same time. He can't keep track of who he's trying to sell himself as anymore. He's a nerd that can't accept or be himself, so he's trying to pass himself off as king of the cool kids, but he's doing it by over emulating only their worst traits and behavior, and taking it several steps too far like a wannabe edgelord. It's really sad.
This is a man that once had lex luthor levels of a manicured and curated public image; rewriting entire histories of events to put himself at the forefront, while at the same time union busting and overseeing terrible work environments. As soon as he took one step out of that scripted persona he completely self destructed.

It's a tragedy that a man like Elon Musk can amass this much power. He got into a position where each of his deranged statements "has to be" treated seriously by journalists worldwide and it just baffles me. There is some comedy in seeing him fail and fail again but in the end those failures really don't have to bother him. He's been the laughingstock of half the online world for at least a year now and that has done so little to limit his power. Even if Twitter fails in the near future the damage to an already broken discourse is done and he will still own infrastructure on the scale of early 19th century monopolists if not more.

It seems like musk got into the business of electric cars, space industry and AI to achieve political power one day .
By owning crucial industries for future technology, he has successfully made the US government dependent on him. Despite biden admin criticizing him, the US govnt is still forced to work with him.
Even the government is powerless against him. Now he meets world leaders during wars despite not having any qualification in the government.

He wants to be this kind of person that opens his mouth and profound wisdoms that will be quoted for centuries comes out; when in reality he isn't more profound than a preschool boy who were just told off by the teacher. He wants to be funny; but only people who hope to win his favor laughs at his humor and not at him. He wants to be the cool, breaking the norm executive; but he only comes across like any other 50+ year old who refuses to accept they're not longer 22. If it was just his own companies, he was destroying, it wouldn't be so bad. He's making a lot of related techs look bad through just being in the same field as him. One of the main things in any business is to under promise, and overdeliver. It not only gives you a buffer, but the other person will be really happy when it comes in under time/budget. You don't need me to tell you that stuff happens, which you can't control.
Elon just wades right in there, making outlandish claims. Alongside being a pretty unwholesome person in public, and treating his workers like crap. Then, like you say, he blames everybody else for his own failings. Whilst expecting people to fawn over him because he's just so cool.
Like his solar roofing tiles. There's an English company which have way more advanced ones you can cut, and don't demand you lay them in one plane. When all the hype is around some not so great Elon project. It actually smothers other better tech. If you look up the Fully Charged channel, you can prob find those roofing tiles, and lots of other green tech better than Elon's fail vanity projects. They just don't get the same hype he can buy. Emma Vigeland is fast becoming one of the hands-down best and most perceptive and articulate journalists in the US. This might be my own old age (in my 60s) bias speaking, but I'm constantly astonished by how young she is, given her brilliant grasp of the detail and nuances of the topics she presents. I apologise for that bias, brilliance is not reliant on age, Vigeland is indeed a brilliant analyst, and clearly works extremely hard in order to have the understanding of these issues that she displays, she must do a great deal of thinking and reading, and it shows.
The others are very good, this is in no way a criticism of them. But she is a stand-out.
Given the parlous state of journalism in many of the so-called western democracies right now, it's a great relief to see younger journalists who are this good. Let's all hope she stays in this career for many decades to come, we need brilliant minds like hers more than ever.

I hear everyone’s criticism of Elon but I see an autistic person here. It’s interesting to see neurotypical people attempt to interpret his body language and overall delivery. I actually understand him clearly. One sign of autism is bluntly stating his mind and feelings. Most people don’t understand this. Specifically neurotypical people don’t seek to understand neurodiverse people. This segment was clearly about hating Elon…

There’s definitely something to that, and for them to presume to draw meaning from Musk’s body language carries some risk of ableism.
But I think we have documented enough evidence of Musk and his voracious and shallow need for continuous positive affirmation that even if his constant glances toward the audience were themselves not neurotypical pleas for approval, we’d probably still have a good chance of being right if we guessed he was seeking approval from the audience.

The journalist is confused as to what to call the act of putting something out on twitter and Elon is all Oh, when it was just short posts, it made sense to call them tweets, but now that is could be a 3 hour documentary it doesn't make sense... It is just a post-hoc justification for elon being obsessed with the letter X to the point that he threw away marketing gold with the twitter brand. You don't post on twitter, you tweet, you re-tweet. Fb would kill for that kind of brand continuity
