A very nice feature on the most comfortable leather appendix holster I've used.
I remember following fowler when it was just an idea, a concept then seeing it become an actual physical gun that you can buy is such a sight to behold. Sadly it’s like $7000
Interesting and enjoyable video. Fowler definitely took your advice and increased the price. The base model is now 5K and the version demoed is 5.5K. I am not sure what the intended purpose of the gun is as Fowler's website does not have any physical specs for the gun. My overall impression is that I do not think it would fit into the concealed carry role for most folks.
Boys - I have those targets. take two of the cardboard targets and flip them sideways and stack them. Staple both to the sides of the frame and the paper to the cardboard. staple the seams (from the back) as well

Just got mine in DLC Black can't wait to take it out, I received inquiries about it after you video dropped which sparked my curiosity, so I had to get one, watching your video is what did it for me. So, from your experience with it what is a good break in round count? 500-1,000. Great video guys. I have received numerous inquiries about the Vanta 9K and all of them came after your video dropped. This gun is legit and will get the recognition it deserves. I spoke to a gentleman that had the 5" Vanta and an Atlas EOS and he was just as much impressed with the Vanta 9K as he was with the Atlas EOS. I myself will be doing a head-to-head using the 9K and a Staccato C2 done up by Monsoon tactical with a the Ghangis comp cut. the Monsoon Tactical Staccato C2 is a good gun but I still believe the 9K is levels above it, even customized. I would love to do a head-to-head with the Vanta 9K and Atlas EOS myself possibly the ported Atlas Ares even a Nighthawk TRS, what are you thoughts thanks fellas
We’ve sold quite a few prodigy’s at our shop, especially when they first came out, and in my almost 20 years in the industry, I’ve never seen a gun come back or have customers stating they will never buy another Springfield, we’ve had more than a dozen guns come back, after one day of shooting where the parts break. Lots of safety’s snapping from just shooting, not dropping, not hitting anything, just breaking, optic screws pretending to hold the optic on, sights deciding to eject themselves, it was crazy. Honestly at this point I would take a Live Free Armory Apollo 11 over a prodigy. We’ve sold a bunch of Apollo’s, Girsan and Tisas double stack 1911’s and none of those have come back. I’m honest with customers that those sub 1k 2011’s aren’t going to be as nice as a stacatto, but they are a great starting point and something you could build upon if you wanted but it’s also true that most people aren’t good enough shooter where a stacatto or anything even better is going to help them be a better shooter. Of the 3 sub 1k 2011’s Tisas seems to be built with the best materials. Forged parts or milled, titanium firing pins, as far as I remember from the guys at shot show they are all extremely well built. I’ve got a single stack 10mm and 9mm from them and they have been rock solid, 2k+ through the 9mm and close to 1k rounds of 10mm and 40cal through the 10mm including a decent amount of 10mm+p bear loads.
Thoughts on Steath Arms and their Platypus. Aside from the name their products have been really catching my eye. I’m considering a platypus to be my first 2011 platform. Thoughts?
2011's are simply not the supercar of firearms. They are the monster truck. Why? 1. They are big 2. They take something reliable and utilitarian and bolt on something to make it less reliable and destroy the utility. 3. They use all bespoke parts. 4. You can't take it to dinner in a reasonable way. 5. Most wives will watch you play with it but won't take part. 6. They are expensive and not really used on a daily driver basis. 7. They only appeal to certain people. 8. Those people are basically the most annoying people ever. 9. If someone owns one, they have to show you a Pic because they can't actually bring it out. 10. Owners will Definitely tell you they own one.... This coming from a 1911 gunsmith who owns several from other builders, including Atlas, Stacatto and one of the original 2013 sti's that I used to compete with in ipsc.
With some models you’re correct. I carry a Wilson Combat SFT9 all the time and have no issue “taking it to dinner” I’ve had zero issues in 4,000+ rounds. Now granted that gun is smaller than my staccato P buy a noticeable amount but it’s easily carried as a daily edc gun. I have had no reliability issues in any of my 1911’s or 2011’s and I shoot the shit out of all of them. My Staccato P gets beat up more than any of my guns (it’s hot about 9k rounds on it) and I primarily shoot it suppressed these days
That was true a couple of years ago…not anymore. Wilson and staccato make carry-able 2011s that are great. Never had a reliability issue with either brand, and accessories / replacement parts are widely available.
The gun coming with one mag is a no go for any manufacturer. The standard should be 3. Staccato gives you six if you are LE and using it for duty/off duty.
I’m a huge fan of 2011’s and have 3 one being an atlas the other a nighthawk and one my brother ordered parts and fit himself. All of which the styling is pretty nice but this one on display in the video doesn’t appeal to me, it’s almost like just because you have the space to add serrations doesn’t mean you have to see how many you can fit through the entire pistol. I’m sure it’s a fine 2011 but for that money I’d save a little more and get a venom or something that looks a bit classier. But this is just my opinion and not meant to be offensive to the gun or anyone else for that matter!
Just for fun would you guys compare whatever your favorite sub $5k 2011 is against a high end production race gun such as a Tanfoglio Domina Extreme or Limited Master Extreme SA. Really want to see where they stand $ for $ and which trigger/shooting experience is actually best.
Next time I'm at the strip club I'm gonna yell" Hey girl !! Papa Jake want's ta see them Dangly's!!!!! Can't wait to see how that turns out for me.......maybe I'll try it out on the Weekday lunchtime gals. Might not wanna drop that classic on the Friday night girls till I warm it up a little. 🤣 🤣😂😂
@@toekneeg nice! That’s good to see. I wasn’t implying these particular pistols had cerakote. It was more of a general statement as several other DS 1911’s exists at this price point that do have cerakote.

@1911syndicate I was on the Jacob Grey website looking at the holster they recommend for my TWC 9 and saw they made a TWC Black. Can purchase it on their site but I haven’t seen an announcement. Have you heard about it? Has different grips, trigger guard, and a black barrel
@@1911syndicate... well shit lol, I was about 10 min too early into your video to ask that question. On a side note, I have an XC and it hurt my feelings a little to see it go off 😆
Trinity has been collecting awful reviews and customer service stories for a couple years now. Would love to see you review a Masterpiece Arms DS9 hybrid.
Who is this dude in the video? Where is the rugged looking dude with tactical and outdoor gear? 😂 was not expecting the Hawaiian shirt. I want this commander Vanta so bad.
About the drop test. When I watched another UA-cam video, I won't name on your channel, when they dropped the 2011 that fired they dropped grip down with safety off and the 2011's fired every time. When they dropped in grip first with the safety on the pistol did not fire. On day could you add a be roll with that drop test results? Thanks for sharing.
2011d...I think are really just"$marketed" for the gun companies.... As you mentioned dinner think because it's a2011 they can instantly charge another$2k....Staccato included--it's a irritation gun with a custom 1911 price tag. For the averages guy aBIL ARBORETUM TAC3 2011 will more than suffice for range day
Hey 1911 Syndicate! I have two questions. First: What is the difference between a 1911 and a 2011? Second: Is a CZ 97B considered a 1911? I've owned mine for a few years and have never been able to figure that out, thanks and I'm new so give me a a break! 🇺🇲
Hey man, no the CZ is not considered a 1911. Biggest different in a 1911 and 2011, a 2011 is a double stack gun where the frame and grip are separate components. 1911 is single stack and the frame and grip and the same piece
You are talking about the 2011 game and I agree it doesn't have to be $5K start... Jacob Grey has proven good gun way cheaper vs venom at $7500 for not so great gun. ATLAS has been increasing the price just for this reason... That kind of sucks hope the industry goes the other way...
$4,300? The average cost of a live chicken is between $3 - $30 depending on the breed. So, that's a lot of chicken to keep one Voodoo Priest on retainer. Then you have to ask yourself: Can he shoot? Will he fit in my pants? I suggest going with Constantine. At least that dude can shoot.
Maybe someday I'll be able to afford a Staccato... let alone one of these beasts... for now, just sticking to the Tisas 9mm DS Duty because my GAF if it doesn't work is zero... I'd be a hell of a lot more pissed if my $5000 handgun didn't work! :)
Ummmm Staccato XC is all I need! Only other 2011 I’ve tried is the P and the Quantico HC. I’ve made up my mind. Bought the XC for $3200 local. No need to try 5K pistols. XC does it for me!
The production quality of 1911 Syndicate’s videos makes me smile.

It doesn’t have any cerakote on it. The tan is PVD and the grip is anodized. Black parts are DLC.
@@toekneeg nice!
That’s good to see. I wasn’t implying these particular pistols had cerakote. It was more of a general statement as several other DS 1911’s exists at this price point that do have cerakote.
I had to pause the video to say “just fold the target around the wood to make it fit!”
One of the best looking 2011/1911DS by far. $4500-5000 and only one mag? Also, no flush cut reverse crown barrel?
Gangster Intro!
Jake and crispy killed it
Glad I finished the video before saying something about a drop test
You might be the only person who did 😂😂😂😂
Whoa!…. The Beard is going to EDC this?!? Then, evidently, the 1911 inspired 2011, is truly a Glock Blocker…
Baahahahaha you need to make that into a shirt dude
@@Chrisblau all yous, my man. Run with it. Just remember from whence you got the inspiration.
This is the only 1911 or 2011 I like.
Let it be your gateway haha
Thank you for the video it was interesting 👍🏻
The drop was only on the muzzle, I would have liked to have seen other angles, though that is probably going to be the most common impact area.
Your videos are top notch - if my day sucks, Im watching your content. Would probably donate one of my stepchildren to the USMC in order to be a guest in one of your videos (both of my kids are US Army)
Hahahaha
@1911syndicate I was on the Jacob Grey website looking at the holster they recommend for my TWC 9 and saw they made a TWC Black. Can purchase it on their site but I haven’t seen an announcement. Have you heard about it? Has different grips, trigger guard, and a black barrel
I want the FDE Vanta 9k so badly
Ever drop one of your 2011s loaded on the muzzle before?
Watch the video
@@1911syndicate... well shit lol, I was about 10 min too early into your video to ask that question. On a side note, I have an XC and it hurt my feelings a little to see it go off 😆
32:47 if you don't care to watch the whole video.
@@duskmeannah, I watch the videos through. I just can't always do it in one sitting.
@@sub-par-shootershouldn’t hurt your feelings it’s based off the series 70
Trinity has been collecting awful reviews and customer service stories for a couple years now. Would love to see you review a Masterpiece Arms DS9 hybrid.
Who is this dude in the video? Where is the rugged looking dude with tactical and outdoor gear? 😂 was not expecting the Hawaiian shirt. I want this commander Vanta so bad.
Same guy lol
The walking guns akimbo was 🔥 🔥 🔥
About the drop test.
You guys are fundamentally misunderstanding the drop safe issue. Series 70 guns are not what people refer to as "drop safe".
This gun is so awesome 👌🏻
2011d...I think are really just"$marketed" for the gun companies.... As you mentioned dinner think because it's a2011 they can instantly charge another$2k....Staccato included--it's a irritation gun with a custom 1911 price tag.
For the averages guy aBIL ARBORETUM TAC3 2011 will more than suffice for range day
They also make them in 10mm if you ask nicely.
I might get killed for this on here, but why is the barrel not flushed and crowned at this price point?
Just different styles.
Good price according to the market. Market is stupid right now!
Well about time you made a vid worth something!
Thank you
thoughts vs the hayes? price isn't too far off
One was ported and this one isn’t. So not a fair comparison. But build quality is very similar
@@1911syndicate thanks. I expected the fowler build quality to be good but not Hayes level, thats great to know
Hey 1911 Syndicate!
Would be cool if we could even get 1..
I’m not handing over thousands of dollars and waiting 6+ months
I mean maybe don’t make that assumption
You literally could have gotten one today.
You are talking about the 2011 game and I agree it doesn't have to be $5K start... Jacob Grey has proven good gun way cheaper vs venom at $7500 for not so great gun. ATLAS has been increasing the price just for this reason... That kind of sucks hope the industry goes the other way...
Do you think the Vudoo Priest is worth 4300?
Haven’t seen one in person 🤷🏼♂️
$4,300? The average cost of a live chicken is between $3 - $30 depending on the breed. So, that's a lot of chicken to keep one Voodoo Priest on retainer.
Then you have to ask yourself:
Can he shoot?
