    Looks like a really solid offering. Great presentation too. Thanks.

    Nice thing about Trackspacer to is that it adjusts to the incoming signal in realtime. This is good when parts of the song change. Seems Unmask only works over a section you define (the part of the song you have it analyze)? Soothe 2 is really good at doing what Trackspacer does with more detail.

      i agree about soothe 2. It also costs a loooot more. I just purchased unmask for „easy“ tasks“ like standard kick-bass relations where i sometimes find soothe almost overkill. Luxury problems :-)
      Now that i think about it with some automation work you can get a long way . Very nice for people who can`t or simply don`t want to invest in the more expensive tools

      Great points, @MLaudio20! I believe pure:unmask is still dynamically plotting and responding to the input signal; but it tailors it from the initial learning profile. I might seek some clarity on that from Sonible. And you're right: sidechaining with soothe2 is rarely talked about, and it's like the Rolls Royce for dynamic frequency ducking. I should do a video on that! Cheers, and thanks so much for watching!

      I think it's great that we have some affordable options now. It would blow my mind to start mixing in this day and age; so many tools for improving audio quality! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Cheers!

      @@palebluedotstudios You should do a video on Soothe 2 and sidechaining! I dont think enough people know about it and or think to use it that way.

      @@MLaudio20 Definitely agree, and this goes to the top of my list. You're probably like me: when I first saw soothe, I was like, "wow-what can you do with this to sidechain and clear up clashing??". I love the idea, I'll get right on that!

    Whoops! I left a total flub in there around the 8:00 mark, haha. What do you think of pure unmask? Let me know in the comments below!

    Could you do some videos on getting a vintage sound?

      Great idea! I did touch on this a bit in my UAD Verve review. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/UA2X1-w1Obc/v-deo.html

    I already have sonible smart eq 4 so this plugin already does the job of pure Unmask right? wanted to make sure please guide.

    • @palebluedotstudios
      @palebluedotstudios  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes, I would say if you have SmartEQ, you do not need pure unmask. With SmartEQ, you don't even need to use you DAW's sidechain; you can just add different instances to a group, and unmasking will.occur. And you can move them up and down to bring something more to the front! Very powerful. Yeah, I'd ignore pure unmaks and FAST Reveal if you own Smart. Cheers!

    Is it works as well as trackspacer or Fuser, the price is definitely right

    After watching the whole video I’m convinced Soothe is better than them all ! Soothe doesn’t take down all of this detail it only focuses on the resonances that’s clashing

    • @palebluedotstudios
      @palebluedotstudios  2 місяці тому

      I hear you. Soothe is extremely detailed and transparent, as long as you don't push it too far. And most people forget that you can sidechain it, and frequency-duck other channels with it. Great points! Cheers!

      @@palebluedotstudios heck yeah man I just watched a video the other day of someone using it in a way I never seen getting the vocals to cut through a mix without squashing everything down it was very eye opening he had the q opened as wide as it could go and it was only focused on the resonances that were in the way of the vocal very innovative!

      @@HitzdropBeats Sounds like a great way to do it! I'll have to check that out. I'll post a video soon about sidechaining with soothe; I think its overdue! Cheers!
