Those have got to be the crappiest dryall anchors ever. Use snap togglers for anything that needs to be strong.

I have another question, what if you are replacing a 2x2 ft square of drywall and it is stuck out? Assuming I will be using all purpose joint compound? Thank you.

That's when mudding and float out skill patch shouldn't be sticking out unless u used wrong thickness Sheetrock as there is 5/8 and 1/2 inch

All purpose joint compound might shrink too much for repairs. You want an lightweight joint compound like usg easy sand 90 minute mud, but sounds like you got bigger issues.

this was coated with hotmud 5 min, texture wioth joint compounds, necver texture with quickset muds if able, as quicksets are not as creamy as reg muds

means u probably used wrong size sheetrock thats only way the thick stuff 5/8 for garages onlymost is 1/2 all i can say
