Question other than adjusting the shock is it just two bolts to remove the back shocks? I have a gen 4 and want to swap the back and front out looking for a smoother ride and feel the stock is too rough
Yes back shock is a simple swap. Gen 4 forks are actually fine... not worth all the hassle to swap. The rear shock is what gives you the harsh ride. My Gen 4 has stock forks and the cheap aliexpress shock. (I have a video on it) and it rides just as good as the full NCY Gen 5
Hey the shock they sent me(SIE Low Down 265mm)is almost identical but has an off set base. Do you think it is the incorrect one? Looking now I do notice a slight slant with stock shocks but wasn't sure.
@GhettoWrench If i wanted to change a 1st generation to a mono shock what part do i need? A swing arm or hub, i am having a difficult time finding the part.
@ZCRAIZED1 just a decent shock. The stock ones are not strong enough according to people on the forums. But it works. Everything just comes off. Then you have fabricate something to hold your exhaust. You also need some spacers or something to take up the room on your axle as it is too long. You can buy a short axle, but you have to modify the hub I have heard as it is too short. I have always ran the stock axle and just added some decent looking spacers.
@@GhettoWrench Thank you! I have been searching for the part for a while and not finding anything. So I just disassemble the back and take off the parts and use spacers. That's crazy, I really appreciate the help.
@oscaracevedo1313 not sure, but itttt was this one www.ebay.com/itm/192308440871?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=uTUlYyRcQqC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=7oPuCdAPRY6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Ya that offset base one is the one you want because the stock one comes crooked.
