Reynad you're always the player I root for man, don't let losses bring you down. I still personally think you and TempoStorm combined contain the best players in the scene atm. Also fuck Reddit.
Why do so many people give RDU shit? I think he's an amazing player, especially for someone who's only 17 years old.. He once again showed his skill yesterday at the HyperX Invitational..
napa lawson lmao he crushed reynad and he was the one who talked shit. i would've bmed reynad to even though i watch his streams etc. but you cant defend him when he shit talked rdu. Plus the "salt action" from rdu was fking awesome lmao
napa lawson I never said you said he cheated during this tournament. And btw, there's no reason to get mad and if you really think this is important enough to get mad over, you're the "pizzaface".
I think that this is the first video of yours that I've seen, but I really like the production quality of this video. It's nice to have the sound be level, so that my ears aren't blown off. Also, it's impressive that you have a strong presence in the community while working on the team. :D
I would love to play hearthstone 20 hours a day but I just started a business AND had a baby 4 months ago. It's all about priorities. Starting/running an e-sports organization is just your priority right now. Maybe in 5 years when Tempo Storm is more established and you've grinded hard to get it there you can focus more on the game. I think your doing the right thing by focusing on Tempo Storm. One more thing..... "haters gon hate" :)
There are always haters on the internet; it doesn't reflect on you. The base of there anger/comments don't even sprout from your performance, more personal life issues that need to be vented upon someone anonymously . You've been great and I have learnt a lot from you.. It's not like they have had the skill to enter the tournaments or earned such a high profile within the gaming community. Keep rocking it, and don't let it get you down. We are always improving every day :D
Some people will always love you. Some people will always hate you. You can't and won't change that. If you continue to be hardworking, passionate, and eloquent, the others will come round if they're worthwhile. If they don't, screw 'em, can't change that. You do what you do, and do it well. That's all you can do.
Personalty i consider people talking bad about a person in a tournament back seat gaming, they just want to make themselves feel like they are good enough to make in to the tournament and in reality you were invited not them and they try to make themselves feel good through your mistakes, Anyway your my favorite streamer :)! Keep it up :D
Though you sound apologetic, Reynad, I do think your points are accurate. At a certain level, all the players seem to be at the same level. To me, that's exciting.
Reynad you are awesome, I miss your streams. I live in eu and you seem to never stream in normal hours anymore. Anyway I love you and will always cheer for you. You are doing some amazing stuff for the community.
Personally I don't think games built on luck should be in the esport scene. Remove the HUGE amount of RNG in hearthstone like raggy, animal companion, arcane missles etc etc etc etc etc there are literally 50 cards that are pure luck based. Remove those and THEN the game can show it's disgusting face in the esport scene. Nobody should win 10.000 dollars due to being utterly insanely lucky, I can only imagine how pissed off I would be if I know I played better but still lost due to my opponent being lucky AND ontop of that I lose 10.000 dollars. I would literally kill people. Esports and sports in general at it's core doesn't have the element of unfairness from what I know. There is certainly luck but luck is a factor you can never fully remove but you can definitely dail it down a huge amount in Hearthstone. I repeat, the game SHOUD NOT be in the esports scene.
you wouldn't have to change a single card if the games would last longer. 10 to 15 minutes and 30 cards in 1 deck is too fast paced meaning that luck has too big of an impact on the game. got a bad starting hand ? got screwed over by RNG ? well, shit.. Hearthstone is super fast paced so good luck trying to recover. Blizzard should raise the deck size to 60 and add around 200 new cards and see how that would change things, imo.
ZyzztheticsForever That could solve quite a lot yeah. I'm still not a huge fan of the RNG cards though :p Like raggy is way too powerful if you have insane luck, if you are unlucky it's a shit card for 8 mana which can basically lose you the game. The thing I do like about Magic the Gathering is the lack of RNG cards, it's the RNG regarding Lands instead but that can also be minimized with mana cards etc. But I think if they did prolong the games further most people would lose interest, I think it's success lies in the fact that it's quick and easy and casual. Casual games shoulnd't be in esports :p It's like trying to get minesweeper or solitair into esports.
Lol. That would never happen. Hearthstone is a fun, casual, easy, laid back card game first. Blizzard will not make it a competitive no RNG based game just for the esports scene.
Altheion I completely agree with you about Hearthstone and its competitive viability. It is fun to watch, but the RNG plays too big of a factor in games that can decide a series. Changing the deck limit to 60 will most likely hurt it as a game because it will slow it down drastically, most likely making it non-watchable for some viewers. MTG works with 60 cards because 20+ of them are land. Top decks have always been, and always will be a thing in any card game setting, so there is no real point in trying to control this. In fact, I would argue that having 30 card decks with the current mulligan system works against it enough. A way to help out Hearthstone is going to be the competitive players themselves deciding to ban specific cards from the competitive format. Blizzard will never nerf cards like Rag, Knife Juggler, Thoughtsteal, etc. but the players and tournament directors can still get rid of them. In quite a few other competitive games (especially ones that were casual turned competitive like hearthstone) it has come to players banning things. I think if Hearthstone wants any credibility as an eSport, the RNG factor needs to be turned down. There's nothing impressive about someone winning a game because of Rag hitting a 1/6 or even a 50-50, it actually seems comical that the person can then call themselves a "pro" afterwards. Obviously the game takes skill, but when luck and RNG are involved, it takes away from credibility.
The problem is the amount of games played. For variance-heavy games like Hearthstone, the more games played in a tournament, the more knowledge and game sense (especially in deck choice) will matter, and the less draws and RNG over individual games will matter. One issue with this is, as long as the personality of casting is as hands-on and "esporty" as it is, tripling the # of games or more would make a tournament start to drag on, or require many more casters to give online viewers the options to view which games they want. Also if you'd want to kill someone over it, you're clearly not meant for it. Lots of these professional players are enjoying the scene right now. If you're worried about unlucky players getting nothing compared to their opponents, remember a lot of these losers are still getting profits off of sponsors and streams.
I have a lot of respect for you as a great player Reynad, for your choices and your knowledge of the game I can't get mad at you for losing, you can't win everything and I certainly can't blame you But a player as popular as you is bound to get haters and ragers, and they're generally unreasonable Considering you created zoo and the trap hunter deck that so many people hate, it makes sense that there might be a greater amount of players who despise you based on what you did rather than who you are
"I worked my ass off to get invited to tournaments" -Reynad 2014. Dude, what you need is a reality check. YOU PLAYED HEARTHSTONE ALL DAY. YOU DID WORK A SINGLE SECOND. You were just lucky to get alot of viewers.
Your matches are always competitive and fun to watch. If you fix your rope problem you will probably get rid of a lot of the haters, it paints a bit of a target. Keep on going buddy.
To be honest, the hate against reynad seems really harsh, he seems calm and like a nice guy, him and trump are the 2 I would rather watch, keep it up man
Don't worry, hopefully if this game is successful enough and a real competitive scene is fleshed out, everyone will forget about you. Enjoy Reynads hearthstone while it last because believe it or not, it doesn't begin and end with you.
Hey Reynad, how do you think the changes to your practice and how you approach it are going to effect your stream? Is streaming for you still going to be just a fun way to interact with the Twitch viewers and chill out, or can we expect a more serious, less laid back stream, if at all?
Really not sure why you'd bother explaining yourself. Win or lose, your matches are always exciting. People being lemmings and jumping on the troll/hate bandwagon are literally the cancer of hearthstone, and who the hell cares what they say. I get that it's frustrating to receive constant hate, and it does indeed seem like you get the majority of the hate, but don't let it get you down. As long as you don't make big mistakes, and continue to make good plays which makes for good watching, I wouldn't pay any sort of attention to what some morons say on twitter/reddit.
Hearthstone is just like any other card game. There will always be an element of luck. The game is still young and will evolve as it goes on. Hopefully the RNG factor will decrease at some point but for now it is what it is. Reynad I think your a great player, salt and all. Don't let haters get you down man.
imo ANY new card that Blizzard releases should have 0 RNG. At least it would help out with the inevitable RNG on card draws. Remembers guys and gals, this isnt MagictheGathering. You are only allowed 2 cards of each in the deck, not 4, and so it gives decks and games a great deal of volatility and luck. RDU had some extremely lucky draws in his games.
Reynad I would love your opinion on the already many times suggested change to ragnaros making his effect "at the start of your turn". He seems to be the problem right now as his RNG has a huge impact and can't be played around like cards as webspinner, dark cultist etc.
I think it's the way you react when you lose that get's you these comments. But yeah, I still think you're top notch. The "fourth" deck was the problem in my opinion. Good luck in the future!
Dude, you are really good, so dont worry about the bullshit people is talking about , allways happen, just focus on Hearthstone and gl in the next tournaments, i hope you win ^^
The minority is usually always the loudest. Plenty of people out here who know you and others mentioned are top level players that deserve to be where they are, regardless of recent performances that trolls are going on about. Keep doing what you do best!
Reddit is the bane of life.just full of pretencious arseholes.who have never been in a tournament.basically backseat drivers. I know it is hard to not liesten to things like that but their is no need to.do what you are doing ,and like you said if you can fit in more time in your schedule to practice play etc results will show. I always like watching you play everyone loses its how you look at the loss and work on that for future matches tournaments etc.
Following the MTG scene for years, all of the pros have their hot or cold tournaments. Some of the best players in the world have gone years without a great finish. Rarely do you see the kind of antagonism that I've seen shoveled towards various Hearthstone players at different times. It's really offputting and makes the community look bad, but it could just be that's the nature of things on the internet these days. Seems like very few games that get popular manage to maintain a non-toxic vocal community, even if the majority are actually level-headed, decent people. Anyway, keep your head up. You're at your best when you're just doing the work and enjoying gaming. When you let the drama take hold it brings down the quality of your otherwise great content as well. Have fun, man.
Keep up the good work Reynad, keep in mind that the comments on Reddit, Twitch and so on mostly stem from the vocal minority, if people really hated you you wouldn't have 20k viewers each time you choose to stream
Honestly with card games it's the win percentage that matters. In any card game there'll be decks and counters to those decks so getting a bad read it'll cost you to a degree (you can still out play counter decks), but come on....well haters will be haters as much as we hate hunter and zoo you have to give him props cause there are few people I know of that have changed the meta as raynad just saying.....
I started online Gaming over 15 Years ago, with Quake 3 Beta, Counter Strike and Starcraft. It was a intense Time, every Replay from Fatal1ty and Co. was like Christmas (No UA-cam, no Twitch no nothing), the Com, the Players and the Fans were a big Family. Yesterday i watched the Twitch Stream when the Hyper X Tournament was up and holy mother of shit, that was hard to watch. Get your Shit together HS Com. So Reynad enjoy what you are doing, dont take such Stuff too serious.
give a shit on all the haters. they even play your decks watching your stream and flame u. they are kids^^. nothing less and nothing more. you dont have u to stress about this. take it easy. hope u do that. your a good guy i think. that you have a problem with the haters shows parts of your charakter and you are only a person wiith feelings like all of us. you are a lot on the spotlite of the community. i thnk course of that it is normal that you get a lot of hype and hate. and sometimes you allso say somethink what you should better only think ( if it is true or not). the community is small. when u flame to 20 000 viewers about other players you can t be confused that this stresses the other 1. like you 2. and u give the haters stuff why they hate. perhaps be strong and let it go or don t be such a drame queen sometimes. i like your style in most ways. hope u will go on with all kinds of work u do at the moment. thanks for content and gg hf! sry for my bad english, will hope the meaning will be understand. eddit: just red the other commentarys woodenwingszvor 7 Minuten M8 did someone punch you? Your left eye area seems really black. PARZYSTOKOPYTNYVor 1 Minute yea your mother after raw sex session what should i say they are kids^^
Assholes tend to be the most vocal. There are plenty of people like me that understand reality and aren't judging you harshly. Keep doing what you're doing and good luck in the future.
Good video. The problem is that about top 200 are same good like you said. But only the famous players wich come from other games or streamers get invites to the Invitationals. So only they are winning and get more famous. Like the hyperx: 6 invites and only 2 from a bracket? beside that de bracket player need much more wins in a row they got really high in the tournament. Like theude would have need to win 10 games in a row and in the end rdu won because he just needed like 4-5. If there are no invites at the tournament and just through a 256 bracket most times someone who is unknown would win.
I think all the points he brought up here are all fair. There really isn't that much "skill" difference in the top 200 legends. People don't like RDU because he's a brash cocky kid who seems to always draw the right cards, but the reality is his tournament preparations are excellent which gives him the opportunity to have lucky draws. If Reynad or other popular HS pros dedicated 15hours a day trying to break the meta then they would have as much success on average. RNG is a fickle mistress, some players like Reynad just can't catch a break while players like Amaz makes a career of it. People just needs to accept it's part of the game instead of crying about it at every tourney.
Please dont take the trollers serouisly, so much of the communtity actually likes you, and the chat always go nuts when you play and something happens xD
The thing is, you are already awesome at Hearthstone... the people who make these comments are usually crap at hearthstone. Loads of people who are Pro players lose and what keeps it interesting is that people come up and down with their performance... some people play badly for 6months, then suddenly they are amazing again. So don't let 1 bad month and very shallow people ruin what a lot of them would dream of doing :)
Tournaments are largely based on your deck choices as well. Reynad chose decks that didn't do too well against handlock and got 3-0'd. That was HIS fault. Not the draws'.
Matthew Greenfield I know, but besides that it's just luck of the draw/RNG. I'm not saying I would beat those top players, because I don't think at the level that they too. I'm saying that at that level, they all have about the same way of thinking. This is actually literally what Reynad said. The most lucky player wins the tournament (best draws, etc.). I don't think that's a healthy foundation for a competitive esport.
The concept has merit. But it's not 100% true. Some top-level players make better choices than other top-level players. And I think the best players will consistently do well in tournaments, regardless or RNG, because of their deck choices and their individual card plays. I think Amaz, RDU, Strife, Tides, and Gaara have better performance than Reynad; not just better luck.
i dont like seeing som1 that is bad winning hearthstone games. ironforum night is what im talking about seeing players play so passive they dont put a card down turn after turn.
Last week Reynad literally missed lethal in one game then couldn't finish his turn in time which ended up costing him the game. Fuse > Reynad in tourney play.
you made zoo.... You have proven yourself to have a position in the Hearthstone community a few weeks of results not being top of the top is non an issue.... You also innovated hunter on multiple occasions (publicly) and when you do have time and dedicate it to offstream play you get high legend every season on every server....So haters are just being haters..Reynad-rocks... favorites streamer! - ps.... PJSalt
Don't let reddit kids get to you. A lot of pro players quit the game because of social media outrage. Last night's tournament RDU's luck was disgusting, getting 4giants and 2 drakes every game, except against zoo he doesn't draw mountain giants and draws watchers and all taunt givers.
I actually empathise a lot for Reynad, he gets shit for nothing and people then assume he just laughs it off, but think about it...would you laugh off thousands of people who don't know you giving you shit every day. Reynad you're a sick player, don't listen to fucking Reddit it's a hub for edgey kids who anonymously post pointless shit.
Good luck at blizzcon! Don't let the nasty people get you down. They are just jealous cause they aren't any good at playing but they think they are lol.
Last tourney I saw Reynad play in he was playing hunter and couldn't finish his turn in time to get his hero power off which turns out to cost him the game. Top players don't make such amateur mistakes. Reynad hasn't been good in tourneys ever since they implemented the fuse in tourney play.
Reynad you're always the player I root for man, don't let losses bring you down.
I still personally think you and TempoStorm combined contain the best players in the scene atm.
Also fuck Reddit.
Generally, fuck the Hearthstone subreddit. It's so poor designed and for some reason attracts a lot of assholes.
My words exactly.
reddit is just full of rank 10 scrubs who still think zoo is the most broken shit in the game
CuteEplet it isnt?
Good job on the tournament, there is always next time to kick RDU's ass
Why do so many people give RDU shit? I think he's an amazing player, especially for someone who's only 17 years old.. He once again showed his skill yesterday at the HyperX Invitational..
fps carson who talked shit about him anyway he just told reynad to kick his ass why so sensitive
napa lawson lmao he crushed reynad and he was the one who talked shit. i would've bmed reynad to even though i watch his streams etc. but you cant defend him when he shit talked rdu. Plus the "salt action" from rdu was fking awesome lmao
napa lawson Says the kid who's making up excuses for why RDU won. "He's cheating! He's so lucky!"
napa lawson I never said you said he cheated during this tournament. And btw, there's no reason to get mad and if you really think this is important enough to get mad over, you're the "pizzaface".
I think that this is the first video of yours that I've seen, but I really like the production quality of this video. It's nice to have the sound be level, so that my ears aren't blown off.

Love seeing you in tournaments and will watch any one with you in one! Don't need to worry about all the neg feedback ;)
Keep it up man, haters gonna hate and be heard more of than people who like you.
I'm happy that you you tried to show people that the time they put in is what they get out.
Love your stream, your attitude, and your outlook man. Keep up the great work :)
There are always haters on the internet; it doesn't reflect on you. You, Trump, and Kripp are my favorite streamers of HS. Keep your head up.

Never doubt about having people who supports you.
As long as you try your best and have fun the losses don't matter. Unfortunately there will always be those people who can't appreciate that.
Don't let those haters get to you bro. You´re an awesome streamer and player. Keep it up ;)
Keep up the hard work man!
Don't mind the people on /r/hearthstone. They don't have any respect for competitive players. You're one of the best.
Andre the molten giant, keep up the good content..
I have a lot of respect for you as a great player Reynad, for your choices and your knowledge of the game
I can't get mad at you for losing, you can't win everything and I certainly can't blame you

Considering you created zoo and the trap hunter deck that so many people hate, it makes sense that there might be a greater amount of players who despise you based on what you did rather than who you are
always rooting for tempo storm over anyone else dude
A lot of people hate him for not being as humble as some of the other streamers but I really don't think Reynad is that arrogant.
+Zefn Ekop is
This is my first time seeing this guy. He looks totally baked.

Reynad is love reynad is life
To be honest, the hate against reynad seems really harsh, he seems calm and like a nice guy, him and trump are the 2 I would rather watch, keep it up man
Keep your head up, Reynad. You have a lot of people on your side! Prove these assholes that you're one of the best players in the scene!
Great video bud
What I don't understand is if all your decks were bad against Handlock why not ban warlock?
Don't worry, hopefully if this game is successful enough and a real competitive scene is fleshed out, everyone will forget about you. Enjoy Reynads hearthstone while it last because believe it or not, it doesn't begin and end with you.
Hearthstone is a game thats casual enough that everyone feels like they are some kind of fucking expert.

The minority is usually always the loudest. Plenty of people out here who know you and others mentioned are top level players that deserve to be where they are, regardless of recent performances that trolls are going on about. Keep doing what you do best!
Go do your think reynad, always a fan ^^
Reddit is the bane of life.just full of pretencious arseholes.who have never been in a tournament.basically backseat drivers.
I know it is hard to not liesten to things like that but their is no need to.do what you are doing ,and like you said if you can fit in more time in your schedule to practice play etc results will show.
I always like watching you play everyone loses its how you look at the loss and work on that for future matches tournaments etc.
Twitch chat is ten times worse.
Dan Liang Nah, twitch chat is just retarded and ignored. Reddit is full of nolifers trying to act smart.

Good luck Reynad :)
let the QQ begin
Pretty sure Rdu also get a lot of hate, from what I saw in the chat yesterday when SPOILER ALERT: he won the tournament.
You're my idol reynad
Invite=cherry picking. Ladder ranking for invite is a much more competitive challenge.
is that a black eye?
Keep up the good work Reynad, keep in mind that the comments on Reddit, Twitch and so on mostly stem from the vocal minority, if people really hated you you wouldn't have 20k viewers each time you choose to stream
Perfect example of why you get trolled so hard
M8 did someone punch you? Your left eye area seems really black.
PARZYSTOKOPYTNY I like how you have 20 likes and he only have 1 LOL REKT

thanks i also like my style : DDD

So Reynad enjoy what you are doing, dont take such Stuff too serious.
give a shit on all the haters. they even play your decks watching your stream and flame u. they are kids^^. nothing less and nothing more. you dont have u to stress about this. take it easy. hope u do that. your a good guy i think. that you have a problem with the haters shows parts of your charakter and you are only a person wiith feelings like all of us. you are a lot on the spotlite of the community. i thnk course of that it is normal that you get a lot of hype and hate. and sometimes you allso say somethink what you should better only think ( if it is true or not). the community is small. when u flame to 20 000 viewers about other players you can t be confused that this stresses the other 1. like you 2. and u give the haters stuff why they hate. perhaps be strong and let it go or don t be such a drame queen sometimes. i like your style in most ways. hope u will go on with all kinds of work u do at the moment. thanks for content and gg hf!
sry for my bad english, will hope the meaning will be understand.

yea your mother after raw sex session
what should i say they are kids^^
Assholes tend to be the most vocal. There are plenty of people like me that understand reality and aren't judging you harshly. Keep doing what you're doing and good luck in the future.
Reddit got mad at you, that probably makes you more credible if anything
You were lucky for even beeing on DH since lifecoach got a baby
RDU cheated Kappa
I thought streaming maintained him full time now? Maybe if he did it daily, unless he's talking about Tempostorm.com management.
Please dont take the trollers serouisly, so much of the communtity actually likes you, and the chat always go nuts when you play and something happens xD
He's wearing lipstick. lol
What exactly did you do "13 hours every day for 3 months to get the stream where it is now"? I think many people are interested to know.
streamed a video game
Ashiok U B hard work
13 hours a day sitting in front of a screen can be very tiring
The thing is, you are already awesome at Hearthstone... the people who make these comments are usually crap at hearthstone. Loads of people who are Pro players lose and what keeps it interesting is that people come up and down with their performance... some people play badly for 6months, then suddenly they are amazing again. So don't let 1 bad month and very shallow people ruin what a lot of them would dream of doing :)
Hearthstone is more similar to poker than E-sport. Even if you play better than your opponent your win percentage might still be only 60%
Hearthstone esports is a joke IMO. Every game on the top level is decided by RNG. (mostly the draw)
I think Amaz, RDU, Strife, Tides, and Gaara have better performance than Reynad; not just better luck.
lol even mtg is a joke always has been :=)
esports is a joke period.
i dont like seeing som1 that is bad winning hearthstone games. ironforum night is what im talking about seeing players play so passive they dont put a card down turn after turn.
RDU is making accounts to dislike this video everyone be careful he might try to cheat off you!
ps.... PJSalt
Nice dude playing hearthstone is a full time job?
PJSalt Keepo
Don't let reddit kids get to you. A lot of pro players quit the game because of social media outrage.
Last night's tournament RDU's luck was disgusting, getting 4giants and 2 drakes every game, except against zoo he doesn't draw mountain giants and draws watchers and all taunt givers.
If tempostorm is the Tsm of hearthstone, that means you're Regi, right? And he dropped out to just manage. Maybe that's what you should do
Dota 2 has a lot of RnG. For example, whenever I play Phantom Assasin, my ult never procs. :D
They are just jealous cause they aren't any good at playing but they think they are lol.
you played well man, but the handlock was fucking ridiculous, nerf leeroy pls.
the best player in heartstone is rng god :)
He is defs talking about Amaz lol
I thougth Hearthstone Esport was popular because people like to see other players get screwed over by rng, not to see people outplay eachother.

Last tourney I saw Reynad play in he was playing hunter and couldn't finish his turn in time to get his hero power off which turns out to cost him the game. Top players don't make such amateur mistakes. Reynad hasn't been good in tourneys ever since they implemented the fuse in tourney play.
isnt reynad a statistically low RNG player? if he knows that tournaments are based on RNG instead of skill then what does he expect?
