Hi everyone! I'm so glad this method has worked for most! Let me know if you tried it! Be sure your fabric isn't delicate or dry clean only! The shaving cream should not stain anything because it foams up to white! I recommend rubbing it before using it directly on the fabric just incase you are nervous about that! Kalei Lagunero hey so I️ have this absolutely gorgeous dress that I️ am obsessed with and I️ am a competitive dancer so I️ have to wear makeup on stage and I was testing a new foundation I️ got to see if I️ looked well in it and a huge blob fell onto my dress and I️ had no idea what to do. I️ forgot about the dress and left it hanging in my closet for about 2-4 months. Then I️ saw this video so I️ tried it on my dress for about 25 minutes and not even one little area was coming out so I️ used tide and a toothbrush for about another 15 minutes and it wasn’t working so then I️ tried nail polish remover which wasn’t that smart but since it has acetone I️ thought it would work but still the color is still there. Please help!!!
Hi!!!! That's a pretty long time to leave foundation but I totally understand things happen! I'm a new mom of two so I get it! Some people used rubbing alcohol and dabbed it, then went in with the shaving cream. I've never used the method so I would make sure it isn't going to ruin the dress by checking the label.
If that doesn't work, maybe consider taking it to a dry cleaner who specializes in stain removal. Only because that was a longer period of time that it was left and they might have a better remover for you. If tide couldn't get it out though, that's one deep-set stain. I truly hope you're able to get it removed!

LIFESAVER!! I was testing out foundations and got a huge stain on my $100 Lululemon yoga pants😫 tried my boyfriends shaving cream and it worked instantly! The fabric is 80 percent Nylon and very delicate and still got it out without damaging it. Highly recommended.

Just tested this. Works like a charm, with a $2.50 shaving cream (not a gel). I can't even say for sure where the stain was. This worked a lot better than bleach, laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid - on a stain that was relatively old and dry by now. Thank you!

can you use regular shaving cream or does it need to be shaving gel? I noticed in the video you used shaving gel.

Right?! As I was rubbing it into the shirt is was coming off so easily! Now I have two reasons why I should continue to buy shaving cream! Usually I just use jojoba oil.

I tried this with quite a lot of doubt. I was only dealing with an old pair of pyjama trousers so I thought it didn’t matter too much if it didn’t work. It worked amazingly! No more stain! Thank you. This was a large stain and quite old. The trousers were cotton jersey.

k I’ve had others tell me they dabbed a little rubbing alcohol before trying this method for stains that happened in a store. I haven’t done this so I would test before going in and using it. Hope that helps!

this worked!! let it soak for 3-4 minutes then went in with a dish sponge, rough side, and scrubbed. The shirt was not fragile so I could use elbow grease safely.. Zout and washing it hadn't worked prior to this. I also added some dawn dish soap at the end and that got the last of it.

How about color green? If got stain with the foundation? Because it fades it become white, how can make it to be the same color again?
I'm not sure If it will get green out. You can try it, at your own risk. Maybe try a test spot?
I have a levis tshirt and it didnt work i did whatever you said. I put shaving cream then let it sit then scrub and then rinse off with cold water and then do the same with hot water. Is it because the stain has dried up? Can you help me?
Hello! That could be the reason! I have not tried this method, but some people said using a little rubbing alcohol before using the shaving cream worked for them. Again, I have not used that method myself. I would test it first and make sure it won't ruin your shirt before committing! I'm so sorry it didn't come out easily for you

It might not hurt to try. I did get comments from people who said it worked for them! I would test on a smaller area before committing and check the fabric to be sure it wouldn’t mess up the pants even more. I hope it works out for you! Let me know if it did or didn’t! 💜

If the stain is still faintly there, should I repeat the process again once it's dry or should I try a different shaving cream?
You can definitely try it again and see if it’ll work! I do that all the time!

Does it have to be applied immediately when the foundation is accidentally on the shirt? Or can we wait til laundry day and wash it?
I would do it immediately, but I have had comments from others who washed later and it worked for them. I’ve never tried that.

Should I use the same method for silk saree...???
I would try a small spot that wouldn't be noticeable. I've never tried it on silk. You might want to read that label and try to remove any make that way. I would hate for it to mess with the silk

Ill try that, I have pored lots of foundation on one of my favorite tops, and I have tried everything I have found on the net about how to remove it, and nothing has worked so far!
+Hellen Laespriell Let me know if it worked! If the shirt has been washed 2-3 times it might not work well, but if the foundation got on it without washing etc… it should get out a lot of the color for you!

I've never used it on black velvet but you can try! Maybe try a test (on a small section) first before doing the whole thing

Hi!! I’m not understanding what you’re trying to say. Did you use a gel shaving cream or can you? I have never had staining for any shaving cream since it turns white after it’s spread. Can you let me know what you mean so I can better assist you? Thank you!
@@KaleiLag yea I was trying to clarify if you meant shave gel that comes out ad gel and then turns into cream or just the cream that comes out a cream and stays a cream. Or if it didn't matter. I did end up using the gel type and it removed the make so YAY! But it did leave a little bit of a lighter spot. No one even knew I had spilled the make up nor noticed the white spot until I mentioned it. I haven't washed it yet and the lighter spot may wash out. I 'hand washed' in the sink and air dried

50-50 for me! Could remove stains from my varsity jacket (which have not been washed since the incident) but could not remove the stains from my slacks (which were washed, treated with nail polish remover, make up remover and thinner). Both are polyester.
TLDR; Don't wash or use anything else before trying the shaving cream method.

+clowve Some said they used rubbing alcohol for already treated stains! I never have & recommend checking the fabric before doing so - this will prevent the rubbing alcohol from messing up the pants! I'm glad it worked for the jacket!

It really works it won't come all the way off when you're just using The shaving gel but then once you put it in the washer it will be out and I used it on my white nike hoodie

You can try it. I had some people comment that they did that and it worked. I make no guarantees with after washing. But You can try!
this worked on my grey champion jumper. i just bought the jumper today and then i got foundation on it and i legit felt like crying, thank goodness this hack worked!!!

I haven’t tried it for old stains. I usually immediately try to remove it as soon as I noticed it’s there. I’ll have to try it out and get back to you if I find a shirt that is still stained.
Oh my gosh! This video saved me. I took a chance and bough a white blouse from Armani Exchange with a foundation stain. Because the manager gave me a huge discount (he let me have it for $10) I thought I would take a chance and buy it and pray that the stain would come out and it did! Thank you! 😁

+Silvana Soraya Moreno I’ve never had an issue with it changing the color of any fabric. I do wash my clothes first to remove any dye when I purchase from the store, but after that, no issues (: Try it on a small section before using it on the spot. But again, I’ve never had an issue!

Is it that we need to apply the shaving cream on the dry clothes? I soaked my denim clothes in water + clothes washing liquid for around 6 hours, but couldn't remove, Thn I just saw this video.. N I've tried.. But it doesn't work :(
It works much better if you apply it immediately after it gets on your shirt. Even a few hours after should be fine! If you wash and then apply it, it might be in the thread already and it makes it hard to remove. Also use cold water so it helps remove the stain.

White style jeans? I've never tried it on jeans so maybe try it on a small section using a qtip. But make sure you read your label to be sure it won't mess up the fabric!

Hi gorg! I never tried it for older stains because I immediately try to wash stains out! But I’ll give it a try if I have any shirts from the past. I usually put my shirts on first than apply makeup so I avoid it all together. I’ll let you know if I ever encounter it!

I don't think it would work that great. It's stickier than the shaving cream. You can try it. Just be aware that it could mess up your fabric. I've personally never tried it.

I had a few people say they patted rubbing alcohol gently on the area and used this method 2-3 times and it worked out better! I would try that! Just make sure it won't mess up your fabric because I would hate for that to happen! But some actually used that on their shirts and it worked for them! I haven't tried the rubbing alcohol but maybe that could work? I'm so sorry it didn't work out for you!

Try dabbing a little rubbing alcohol first and then going in with the shaving cream. If it still doesn't work, someone commented on this video that dish soap and a tooth brush worked for them! That didn't work for me but it's worth the try (:
