I am Malaysian, but everytime this anthem comes up, it brings tears of joy and proud moment. Knowing that Malay is Singapore's national language and not all Singaporeans are fluent in it, but their effort to learn and move forward while this anthem makes it a medium of unity regardless of race, language and religion. Salute! ❤
Majulah Singapura 🇸🇬
it seems like lots of Singaporean confuse with the word 'berseru'. on verse "Semua kita berseru". even in the video some audience sang it " Semua kita bersatu.. Majulah Singapura ... Majulah Singapura " instead of " Semua kita berseru ... Majulah Singapura ... Majulah Singapura ". Semua kita berseru = Let us all hail, Onward Singapura.. Onward Singapura... 00:01:34 we can see this. the gentleman sang it berseru which is correct while the lady next to him sang it bersatu.
What a beautiful song. Greetings from Indonesia 🎉

Beautiful! Go Singapore!
I remember since young I disliked our anthem because I liked minor songs more. Now that I've finally grew up to learn to appreciate our national anthem, and then coming across this absolute masterpiece, I just can't help but standing up and saluting and singing along. Forever proud to be a Singaporean, Majulah Singapura!

In the description it says this is the "finale of the [SSO's] National Day Concert 2018", but reading on it says that it was recorded in 2023, 5 years later?
Thanks for spotting that error! It was a classic copy and paste accident, oops! This is from 2023, of course.

Yet majority of singaporean cant speak malay eventho its the national language of singapore. Prefer english instead...😂😂😂😂 you guys only did this just to make the malay felt less alienated knowing their not the dominant race in the country anymore.
Nobody asked, also don't blame others that you guys are so lazy that despite being a majority in Malaysia you guys still need to put up the Ketuanan Melayu BS and oppress your minorities with institutionalised discrimination. Tak malu pe?
Firstly, Malay is the national language of sg because of her history with malaysia. Secondly, vast majority of Singaporeans are Chinese, meaning they will learn mandarin chinese as a second language in sch since its their mother tongue.(only some elite schs offer a *basic* third language class where students can choose to learn malay, indonesian, Japanese, korean etc). Lastly, we do not prefer english. It is just because English is the main language used in sg(in schs, most workplaces and attractions). All these u cant blame/find fault with the ppl. U want u go ask the government to implement rule that says all sg kids must learn third language/national language.
I know the history already. Your government itself dont implement the language itself to be the main language. In malaysia itself most can speak three language even without going to school. It is learn since childhood fron surrounding. The only malay i got to hear are from older generation. The hawker uncle can speak more than three language. New genz can barely hold 2 language 😂
I'm not Singaporean but it confuses me why Malay proficiency is so bad in Singapore despite it being an major official language to the point where a lot do not even know the meaning of the words to the national anthem they sing.
@@EL-xg4yq Malays' proficiency in Malay is bad or non-Malays' proficiency in Malay is bad? Malay like Mandarin and Tamil are the mother tongue and is attached to race. English is the working language of Singapore and is supposed to be common for all 4 races.
