I use VLC because it has no ads. But the drawback is if i am watching a downloaded tv series, after the episode ends it takes me back to the folder and i have to manually select the next episode. Cant find the option to automatically play the next episode. Anyone found a work around for it?

Use any. All are the best. For an offline and privacy-focused app, go with MPV. The rest are great as well.
