It was! We talked for 45 minutes and got into crazy details about sacred geometry and 'The Last Supper.' It got pretty crazy. Would you guys be interested in an extended cut of this one?
Mr mcCreary, you are a genious composer. You should compose for all tv shows! BSG would not be the same without your legendary music. I am addicted to Da Vinci's demons theme, I have to listen to it everyday.
Many years late to the party but it is so wonderful to hear a composer tall with such enthusiasm and take such great pains to respect the sounds and instruments of the era
There is another TV show called "The Borgias" on Showtime which is also using, as it sounds to my ears, some traditional music from that period. Some of the same historical persons also show up in "The Borgias": Niccolò Machiavelli, guys from The House of Medici and others. (But I don't think you'll ever see count Dracula in "The Borgias"). Cesare Borgia briefly employed Leonardo da Vinci as military architect and engineer between 1502 and 1503, so the writers might take note.

Very soon! Stand by for some good news next week! :)
I LOVE that Bear's clips show examples of the old (mensural) notation which are widely available to anyone interested now.
Oh, definitely. As a composer myself, I actually enjoyed the music history classes at my university, so these kinds of things are fascinating to me.
Will never get tired of watching these videos! Bear, you are a musical genius! One of the greatest musical minds of our time! Thanks for posting!
Yes definitely interested. Would be very interesting to see.

Excellent work, Mr. McCreary! It's great to hear you talk about early music.
Absolutely! They're fascinating insights to your process, the more the better please!
