So many more cool dad points. Showing her that she can invest her earned money into her "company" and buy things that improve her product. And well done Phoebe on earning enough to buy a new tablet. Hope you love it and can't wait to see the new designs!
I can't stop smiling! Look at Mrs B ar 8:44 ! She looks SO proud of Phoebe! And Phoebe: You're an amazing artist! I'm very happy for you that you were able to buy an Ipad and an apple pen! Can't wait to see more of your art!
Phoebe, I humbly request one of your next tshirt designs incorporate Chloe’s quote at the end “I thought you could do better instead of poisoning us”. I am cracking up!!
I agree with Ms B about the whole body part situation. It’s the correct term and there’s nothing wrong with using that term. But use whatever you are all comfortable with
Yeah, I was like when did that become a swear word? LOL But I'm thinking it's more about it being said on UA-cam (and on a channel that has kids on it a lot of the time) than anything else.
For natural peanut butters like that, you generally have to stir them up when you first open them. The oil separates out since they have no stabilizers. If you don't mix it up the top is generally more oily and the bottom more dried out. It can be a pain sometimes to mix them.
I used to make these over 40 years ago when I lived in South Africa. They were my brothers favorite treat. You've inspired me to make them with my grandkids!
My family has made icing sugar for 40+years in the electric coffeebean grinder. It was quite a small one, so we had to do a few turns to get the required amount, but so much cheaper!
Yeah I always make homemade in the blender when I forgot to buy some. Easy and quick solution. No big savings though, because sugar and powdered sugar are pretty much at the same price in our stores.
I work at a Lidl down the other end of the country, crazy how the store layouts are identical, could've sworn it was my store just from the inside footage and of course the non-food section was a mess, as usual, haha.
That's part of their strategy. Aldi is the same. If everything looks the same it's easier to plan the shelf layout for max profit (one fits all) and the costumers are happy because they'll find their stuff in every store roughly at the same place. There are some variations due to renovation and innovation, but it's pretty much the same for all stores.
Binge watched your vids over Christmas as I was alone, got to say its always a pleasure watching - your little uns as are such cheeky wee scamps and a credit to you/Mrs B !!!
Yay i am so glad to know that the cheap was the best as that lidl's peanut butter is my favourite. Also being a baker myself lidl's icing sugar is much better as it doesn't fly ever where like the others when making buttercream. And the chocolates are also pretty good as well specially the dark chocolate ones.
Thanks for another fun food trip, Barry. My wife loves the pb cups and this video got me thinking, I might just see if I can make a giant one for her using my 10" tart pan. I like adding coconut oil to my homemade peanut butter. It's heart-healthy, it adds a more rounded nut flavor to the product, and it works very well with chocolate. Rather than honey (which can introduce some clashing pollen flavors), I sweeten the peanut butter with ultra-fine sugar. Just whiz the sugar up in a coffee grinder and that's it. I don't add corn flour because it gives a cleaner flavor without it. The only reason you have corn flour in the stuff you get from the store is to keep it from clumping, and that's not really an issue when you're dumping it right into a recipe.
Icing sugar is called “powdered sugar” in the States so most folks there would assume you make it by grinding regular granulated sugar. Also, many supermarkets there have a selection of nuts in large plastic hoppers with grinders attached to them so you can make your own butter blends which go straight from nut to jar.
You can also make your own brown sugar with mixing sugar and molasses in a zip lock bag, make it as light or dark as you want. Did Santa ever bring you new oven mitts? Your video was fun as usual.
Nice video Barry! Since I discovered how to make your own PB, I never buy any from the store anymore. However, I just roast the peanuts and blend them without adding any oil. The longer you blend it, the runnier/creamier it gets :D
We used to make icing sugar in a coffee grinder. Worked like a charm and there was never any need for corn flour or anything of the sort. Worth noting that we never actually grinded coffee with that coffee grinder.
Well done Phoebe! Your designs are amazing. I’m glad you earned enough to invest in your little business. Also well done to Chloe for being a little comedian and making us laugh. ❤️
I am usually making home made peanut butter too.. (for few years now) I love it.. Most off the time I don't even need oil but if I do I like to use coconut oil.. and making icing sugar already is an "old" hack for me since I didn't have any at home when I need it so I thought why not to ground it like the coffee.. 😁😁 I loved the video great as always.. I wouldn't miss any of them..

Another great fun video. - Cheap versus steep, how about meat cuts( steaks/minced meat). Of course you could do intensive farmed meat versus freerange or organic fruit and vegtables versus cheap supermarket. - Tomatoes are the easiest to notice a difference with,in my opinion.
Was that Joe and stephs popcorn sauce if so they have amazing products very expensive though I usually get them free with Vodafone though and that tasted about fantastic
It's easy to make icing sugar... Just use one one those small electric coffee grinders and load it with normal sugar. Then zhuzh it and get your powder.
Great idea, Barry. Any chance of you making the equally delicious Almond and Hazelnut butters, in the future?I love when you buy a bag of nuts - that's all that is in the bag, nuts (I love nuts of all kinds), and it will still carry a 'Contains nuts' warning. Best instructions I ever saw though, was on a cake I bought from a well known retailer. On the label, it actually had instructions to: 'Cut into slices, and eat'. News to me. I'd just bought cake, took it home, and thrown it at a wall, up to that point. (HEAVY SARCASM).
The only difference between granulated, caster & iceing sugar is that caster is slightly more ground than granulated and iceing is ground to a fine powder, I only buy granulated sugar and grind my own as its needed, so only have one bag in the cupboard rather than three and have more space for other things.
I made icing sugar like that one year in the middle of xmas baking and ran out 😂 it was a trick my mom showed me and I was floored. I'll never forget that lol.

Thank you so much for showing the icing sugar trick! Part of my family can't have normal granulated sugar and the sugar replacement only comes in granuals. Which gave me the option of very grainy icing on cakes or a few hours dedication with a mortar and pestle. Can't wait to try the cornflour out!
That is proof Barry likes sea salted caramel :) I would like to know how to make crispy seaweed.some day because it's one of those foods that sounds discussing but is delicious
I wonder if the DIY would have done better with store bought powdered sugar. You and Becky liked the homemade peanut butter so much, it makes me think the off taste of the DIY cup has to do with the confectioner's sugar.

When you make peanut butter at home you need to keep the food processor on until all of the oils release and it liquifies
But that requires logic! 🤭
