Vegeta, King Vegeta, and Bardok all saying "I dreamt, I yearned to be the one to avenge us, yet he battered and broke me just like he did the others" has to be top 3 most powerful scenes in DBZ.
@@jhtoxic7870i thought people hating on super was an old thing, the manga is pretty much a combination of ogdb and dbz at this point as far as tone and content goes
It’s moments like these that make you realize that Dragon Ball wasn’t all fighting, screaming, and energy blasts. They were a big part of the anime of course, but not everything. There was also these deep moments that touched you in the soul. It’s why DBZ is such a legendary anime
Some of my closest friends know who I really am. Many people who've seen me have an anger outburst only ever see a man furious at everything at every moment. Those closes to me know that its sadness and depression. Pain that I only was able to vent through anger. One of my closest friends gave me a bear hug when I was having an episode and she began to cry asking me to stop, she said she was afraid of me hurting someone or myself. She told me afterwards that most see an angry and hate filled man but she sees a scared and sad little boy, in pain just venting it in the only way he ever learned how. I grew up in a family of very strong and intimidating men. All soldiers or tradesmen and I felt worthless compared to them. I felt I shamed my family because of how runty I was and she and my closest friends know that. I began to weep when she said that because she saw what no one else did. In my heart I was sad, depressed and feeling so worthless, so unlovable. I wanted my father to be proud of me and who I was but in my mind no one could ever be proud of me. I hid that pain for years and no one had ever seen it till then. Sometimes when I'm stressed out with college I imagine my closest friends with me, cheering me on pushing me to do this to better myself. I miss them all so much because they all went away for college and I stayed home for community college. Vegeta, his father and Bardock appearing in Gokus mind is just like how I feel sometimes. I look to my best friends, my Grandma and Grandpa for advice. I know they all love me and that all those things I told myself for all those years was a lie.
@@gravityfallscanada Lol shut up dumbass it WAS suppose to end in cell. Literally Toriyama wanted to end it but fans kept wanting more so they made the Buu saga you idiot
For those of you wondering why Vegeta's naked: It's symbolism. It's supposed to show his untouched soul in death, pleading Goku to avenge the entire Saiyan Race; at this point, it is Vegeta's only desire. Including clothes would make him less single-minded, I assume. Symbolism is also the reason for all of Vegeta's forms (kid, adult, Great Ape) as well as Bardock and King Vegeta appearing. The appearances symbolize how all the legacies, accomplishments, actions, and spirits of the Saiyans survive now only in Goku; Vegeta even said that.
"Because hes haunted everyday and night by a single overriding fear. Tha the legendary Super Saiyan will rise from the ashes and obliterate him" gave me and dad my chills
So beautifully put. The govt does this too because they fear the people will rise up so they slowly poisoning us make us slugs with fluoride, chemicals and stupid ideology
+KotixPL I like that they actually gave him a natural child voice in this one instead of just making him sound like a midget adult vegeta like they did in the original dub
"i dreamt, i yearned to be the one to avenge us. He battered & broke me as he did the others. You can't imagine the torment i died in. Unless you're the one to finish this, we will be lost, lost in the memory of time.. ...." This gave me chills up my spine just listening
"I dreamt I yearned to be the one to avenge us....yet he battered and broke me just as he did the others you cannot know the torment I died in...." Seeing Prince and King Vegeta and Bardock saying this rings true. King Vegeta tried standing up to Freeza to end his peoples rule under another. Prince Vegeta wanted to have the power to end Freeza and become the strongest of all. Bardock was the saddest given the knowledge in advance what would happen and wanted to save his wife and sons and his people and stood up to a tyrant and was one of the first casualties he had the knowledge but this still couldn't aid him and he was destroyed with the rest.
"I dreamt, i yearned to be the one to avenge us....yet he battered and broke me just as he did the others....you cannot know the torment i died in..." That bit really hits the spot on the feels
Duuuude I know right! She should have voiced kid vegeta in super instead. Her kid vegeta voice is amazing and more fitting for the character's looks and age.
And this is why I'm so glad Kai exists. The voice acting, dialogue and musical score completely shits all over the original Z dub and this is pure proof of it. There's so much more emotion here and I honestly get chills every time I hear Vegeta's voice as a child and in great ape form. Everything about this scene in Kai is perfect.
+ZD Cosner actualy i think the original script and musci was better japanese and kai goku is a selfish dick who really does not give 2 fucks about any one but him self hell just look at super where he hates his own son for not being a fighter
Deep inside Vegera did cared about his planet and all the saiyans who fought against Freeza... Dragon Ball Z was truly a legendary series thank you Akira Toriyama for crating such an amazing series
let me guess. The original dub dialogue here was something like "kakarot, frieza is bad, he is a bad guy, beat him or he will do evil stuff, you are the best saiyan so you can win" XD
+Carrot Cake DBZ is a serious show that is wrapped with some light hearted moments and comedy. DBS is the opposite, even when they try to be serious it's not that effective. Toriyama and his team had way more passion and care for DB back then. But hey, don't shoot me, that's my opinion.
@@justaclam9141It’s “filler” in the sense that this scene wasn’t in the manga. Because Dragon Ball Z was nearly catching up to where the Dragon Ball manga was at in the story, the anime staff had to pad out the episodes so they can stall enough for Toriyama to continue publishing material for them to adapt. This resulted in the show adapting one chapter per episode, stretching out a few pages of content into a full length episode of television, which resulted in battle sequences going on longer than they should and some new side material that, for better or worse, add more content to the story.
"I yearned to be the one to avenge us.... yet he battered and broke me just as he did the others. You cannot know the torment I died in." Damn. That was powerful. When Vegeta lay dying, I preferred the original Funi dub. For this one, though, Kai's script is far superior, and the music works well.
This line too "Unless you're the one to finish this we'll be lost...lost forever to the memory of time..." Kai vs. Funi is a debate that will probably never end but this much is black and white - Kai's dialogue absolutely shits all over that of Z.
What really sold it versus the original or even the japanese version is that ALL of them were talking. It's a simple gesture, but what it does is show that each of these three desperately wanted to be the one to fulfill the legend and destroy Frieza, and each of them failed miserably, having to deal with the fact that they died accomplishing nothing but being Frieza's victims, dooming their race to extinction.
The Falconer music added to Kai would have totally killed this scene....!! Even this music was good but the Falconer's music in Funimation dub too added essence to the scene IMO
1:51 "I dreampt, I yearned to be the one to avenge us...yet he battered and broke me just as he did the others." Bruh that part with him, King Vegeta, and Bardock still gives me chills to this day. I still remember that part vividly from when I first saw Kai on Nicktoons. Friggin beautifully done.
Every time I watch this a tear always trickles down my cheek!!! “I dreamt it, I yearned to be the one to avenge us yet he battered and broke me just as he did the others. You cannot know the torment I died in!! Unless you’re the one to finish this we’ll be lost, LOST FOREVER TO THE MEMORY OF TIME!!!”
It's hard to not get choked up on this. This had more meaning than the z. Z lacked the emotion, anger and hatred vegeta felt towards freiza, not to mention the encouragement he is giving goku. Telling him he has to avenge his people and make things right. Vegeta gives amazing meaningful speeches that will continue to hit my very core of my being.
Even though i LOVE dbz i love this Kai dub its Vegeta putting his hatred and pride aside and admitting Kakarott is their last hope to avenge King and Prince Vegeta and Goku's father Bardock. And should Kakarott fail the memory and legacy of the mighty Saiyan warriors will be lost forever to the memory of time and fade into the halls of forgotten history.
The AoC Gamer this is late but this is why kai is soooo much better because the script is better put together the music aspect is debatable but everything else in kai is better than the z dub
Coxinha no kai dub if far from trash man as i said better script less filler even tho the took out a little too much the voice actors have more experience and chris ayers frieza is the best frieza period 💯other voices were improved as well 🤫💯
Vegeta: Kakarot! How dare you give up?! You're a Saiyan warrior, take some pride in your heritage! Goku: I... I am not a Saiyan like you...! Vegeta: Please, stop trying to convince yourself. You personify our race! Goku: Just stop! None of that matters now anyway... even together we -- !! Vegeta! Where...?! Vegeta: The blood in your veins, that perfect instinct for battle, there's no denying what you are. Reach down deep, feel the pain of those of us who failed. Your brethren were all decimated, your home world lost! Does is not enrage you to stand before the man responsible for driving us to extinction? My father, your father; both gone. Kid Vegeta: Dead. Killed by him. Lord Frieza! You are the last of our kind Kakarot. Everything we were survives now only in you. Vegeta: And he won't rest until every trace of that has vanished, because he's haunted every day and night by a single overriding fear. Great Ape Vegeta: That the legendary Super Saiyan will rise up from the ashes and obliterate him! Vegeta: I dreamt... Vegeta and King Vegeta: I yearned to be the one to avenge us... We'll be lost, lost forever to the memory of time. Goku: ...
" i dreamed, i yearned to be the one to avenge us.... yet he battered and broke me just as he did the others" THAT right there is the most saddest thing in the universe, he worked his whole life to avenge everyone and just when his goal was within his reach, it was just yanked away... who wouldn't feel what vegeta is if he were that position
WitchettyMan No it don't make sense why he is like that, why does he have to be naked for him to tell Goku in a sense that it is up to him to keep their Saiyan legacy alive by destroying Frieza once and for all?
Vegeta lost his tail during the fight on Earth. Since he's an adult, it's gone forever, it'll never regrow. However, it still shows here because that is not his body, that is not like when Goku dies, where he keeps the same corporeal matter from he was alive. This is Vegeta's very essence, his spirit.
This, isn't another one of vegeta inspiration speeches. There's a deeper philosophical theme to goku characterization and character development not only this scene show us goku personified his fallen brethren or the last of his saiyan heritage at that point but because goku had accepted his saiyan heritage or pride and must defeat frieza the one who'll be "killed" by a saiyan hand or die trying.#Very touching moment for goku character.
+Sandro L. Jean It's a major character development point for Vegeta too (which later got retconned away because Toriyama loved to do that buuuut………). This is the part where we find out how deeply Vegeta really did care about his people, in previous fights he had claimed that he had zero fukks to give about the other saiyans but when he says "I dreamt, I YEARNED to be the one to avenge us" we can clearly see that he was more than just a power starved psychopathic blood knight.
@@ifeanyiozoh3097 He killed him because he was weak. But also, there's a lot of writing inconsistencies in Dragonball in general, and a lot of contradictory logic. I take most things with a grain of salt.
"You can not know the torment I died in" This is my favorite moment between these two because it's like the first time in the series Vegeta actually looked for Goku, his arch-rival, for help.
"I dread, i yearned to be the one to avenge us. Yet he baned and broke me just as he did the others. You can not know the torment i died on." That quote is gold.
i always thought he said : i dreamt, i yearned to be the one to avenge us, yet he battered and broke me just as he did the others. You can not know torments i died in. :o can't find the quote on google. to me it made more sense to use dreamt and battered. xD
Am I the only that to this day gets goosebumps and teary from the epicness of the line “he’s haunted every day and night by a single overriding fear. THAT THE LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN WILL RISE UPON THE ASHES AND OBLITERATE HIM”?
This was definitely the moment that set Goku up for the Super Saiyan transformation. Finally realizing who he was and what he represented, all of Goku's Saiyan spirit woke up inside him here, a pride that he had never experienced before in his life came alive, everything eventually coming together at breaking point and resulting in his ultimate transformation. Ever since this moment Goku became more and more like a Saiyan
This is easily one of the very best scenes in Kai. Very touching, inspirational AND motivational. I don't think this scene could've gotten worded any better. It gave me slight chills. The soundtrack is also very nice. Vegeta and Goku should've been much closer by the time the Androids have arrived, instead of being hell-bent on surpassing him. How can they still be at odds after the fight with Frieza? His tears and encouraging words should've changed him more after he was revived. Of course, he should still remain hard-headed and somewhat aloof, but there could've been a better change.
Yeah, Vegeta's hatred of Goku in the Cell Saga was honestly kinda weird considering his last words to him, and his pride in Goku when he learned that he became a Super Saiyan.
This was such an amazing part in DBZ Kai’s version. Vegetas words alone, bring out a speech of such power. Even his words of a prideful warrior like himself, had struck a nerve in me. It’s like he was talking to all of us at that moment. This earns a stand from all of us DB fans. The words of courage Vegeta had. It’s like we all along with Vegeta we’re saying, “we all know who you are. The last of our race. The one who is the chosen Super Saiyan. The one who will take our greatest threat down.”
in z, this scene feels like vegetas just saying: "Kakarrot! Just beat him already!" And the music wasnt very motivating either. But in kai, this scene really speaks to your soul and feels special. The music always gives me goose bumps when i watch this scene. KAI RULES!
@@SensuixShinobu7 how? This scene is alot more meaningful than the one in z. The dialogue, the music for this scene is way better. You can feel vegeta's anger, resentment and desire to beat frieza. He spoke the truth from his very heart and soul. Not sure how you find that poor acting.
The difference in tone between the original Funi dub and this one is incredible. You really feel the anguish in Vegeta and Goku coming to terms with his heritage in this one. The original seems so devoid of meaning after watching this version.
Yeah. I think his was much better as well. A lot more emotional than the original dub. The dub never made me feel anything, but when I got to the Japanese version of Z and Kai, wow that made a difference. (DB's dub was already faithful to the Japanese version and had pretty decent voice acting as well). I wish people wouldn't hate Kai just because it exists and it's different from what they grew up with. I know there are some people that just simply cannot get into it and that's fine. But I think that if they forget everything they about about Dragon Ball (well not really forget as in not remembering) then it would be easier to get into it. Thinking of it as rexperiencing the series again, but in a different way. The people that watch Kai and can't get into it just think too much of the Dragon Ball they know, what they watched when they were younger.
Xesthan I like how you mentioned the original Dragon Ball, for me the voice acting in the English dub is solid, miles ahead of the pre-Kai Z dubs. Furthermore, the dialogue in Dragon Ball is actually really well written for the most part and in many cases downright witty and clever. I just feel that the voice acting/dialogue in Kai and Dragon Ball make the characters believable and the show becomes more engaging as a result, this being helped by the removal of pointless filler. As much as I enjoy the earlier Z dubs (heck, I grew up on them) you never really think of the characters are being "real" and can't engage with them as the dialogue is incredibly forced and often delivered poorly. A notable example of this would be when Goku goes super saiyan. In the original dubs he just seems to be having a mild tantrum whereas in Kai you can really sense how furious is and how close he is to losing control, making an intriguing contrast to his easy-going character, it just *matters* more. So as somebody who enjoys a bit of depth and finesse to a shows writing I genuinely cannot see how the earlier Z dubs can be viewed as being superior to Kai.
Rewatching DBZ as an adult changes your whole perspective on Vegeta. As a kid I couldn’t understand what he has been through, I just thought he was mean and evil for no reason. He’s actually very emotional and it’s the cutest thing ever.
Even in death vegeta motivated goku to keep on fighting just when he was about to give up, vegeta's words inspired him to live on with the pride of a sayian
Man I love Dragon Ball Kai. I remember watching this scene growing up, seeing it again as an adult really hits to home the pain and shattered pride of Vegeta and the entire Saiyan race felt from Frieza rulling over them.
Just thinking about the weight on gokus shoulders during this long and agonizing battle gives me chills... he was literally the last surviving being in the entire universe who could stand up to frieza it wasn't only the sayians he was avenging but the namakians as well there were countless races that frieza destroyed so many innocent lives lost.. I loved goku from back then he literally personified what It meant to be a warrior.. vegeta said it best man those words cut deep.. if goku would have failed everything would have been lost his family his friends so many other families would have been lost as well.. this moment is the moment I realized how amazing goku is... well was... he doesn't seem like the same goku in this new super show... its sad.. he just doesn't have that same feel as before goku was so humble and so damn inspiring the things he seen the sacrifices he made and the struggles he faced.. it was truly a beautiful sight to see.. don't get me wrong I love vegeta too his character has become the talk of the show its just sad I think.. because with his character development I feel like gokus character is declining.. it sucks so bad..the goku from Z was a hero the hero all fans grew up cheering now he just seems like an idiot 😔 but moments like these from Z will live on in all of us goku, vegeta, and even gohan fans.. everything always started with him.. it doesn't even matter who's the strongest or best... it all started with him... ♥️
Gotta say, I love chris ayers as freeza way more than who used to play him. Nothing against the original guy, but Ayers' voice is just so much smoother and dignified. He also doesn't throw as many petty insults as the original dub did, which adds to his character
You're absolutely right. There's no other reason for Vegeta to be this vulnerable to anyone, much less someone like Goku, even in death. In fact, I'm willing to bet that this and his dying plea to Goku were the first times he was ever vulnerable with ANYONE.
When Goku was a kid he lost his Saiyan pride because he hit his head that's why he doesn't act like a Saiyan until Vegeta showed up he keeps reminded him who he actually was that's why part of his saiyan heritage started to come back he just haven't realized it yet.
This really comes to show on how this was a wake-up call for Goku. All Saiyan hope lie within since he was the only pure-blooded one left in this saga. It even makes you realize how Goku had to accept the fact that he is a Saiyan of blood. Sure, he may not see himself as one really, nor does he fight like one all of the time, but it still takes a lot to accept a proud race like the Saiyan when it comes to Goku.
Wow.................This is just an amazing speech. ❤ I actually got goosebumps. Seriously, Vegeta gives the best speeches. He really does. Goku rarely ever doesn't give up, but this time he feels like there's nothing more he can do and even though he's smiling, the poor guy probably feels demoralized. 😢 But Vegeta wasn't having it. He wants Goku to finish what he and their fathers had started, avenging the Saiyans and defeating Frieza. And even though Goku is still having trouble coming to terms with his Saiyan heritage, Vegeta rightfully reminds him that he is the last of the Saiyans. He's the only one left. And if Goku fails and dies, then not only will the Saiyan race be gone forever, but Frieza would've won. He would finally be free of the Saiyans and the legend of the Super Saiyan AND he'd have the power to terrorize the universe as he sees fit. And I'm pretty sure that Goku understands that he's also the only thing standing between Frieza and his loved ones back home. Something incredible with this speech is that Goku sees his father Bardock for the first time, even if it's in a vison. And it's similar to how Bardock saw his son Kakarot AKA Goku in a vison. And Bardock briefly talked to him in his vision just like he did. And as Goku listened, he realized two things. The first is the Saiyans aren't as awful as Frieza and that in a way, even the Saiyans were victims to Frieza. The second is that he shouldn't be ashamed of his Saiyan heritage or who he is. ❤ In my opinion, it's at THIS VERY MOMENT that Goku finally begins to truly accept his Saiyan heritage. 😊 And it's also the moment where he regains the resolve he needs to defeat Frieza. And this speech would pay off big time when Goku finally became the first man in a millennia to become a Super Saiyan. ❤ I also think this is the first step taken in Vegeta's character development and redemption arc. 😊 And I think this is the first major step Goku and Vegeta would take in their friendship. And this wouldn't be the last time Vegeta would give such an epic speech. Nor would it be the last time Vegeta would place his faith in Goku. This speech was just brilliant. With this speech, Vegeta managed to help Goku from beyond the grave. ❤ If I didn't start liking Vegeta already, I certainly did after this amazing speech. 💖
Just came back from watching the same scene in original Z and it’s like night and day, this scene hits those emotional beats so much better I don’t know how anyone can even watch Z when Kai exists
KAI IS KING! FINALLY! A version of this scene with the ACTUAL translation. This means so much for Gokus character development in helping him FINALLY slay the bastard that destroyed his race (....because Purple God Cat told him to)
The entire Frieza/Namek saga is just perfect. Masterful writing. This scene and the one earlier where Vegeta cries as he’s dying and asking Goku to avenge the Saiyan race are two of the most emotional and well written scenes in the entire show. The only other scene that comes close to these in my opinion is Vegeta’s sacrifice against Buu. The fact that those are my top 3 emotional moments in the entire show and Vegeta is not only in all of them, but is the focal point in each one is a testament to how great of a character he truly is.
Even though Vegeta was a bad guy at first, it's show why he is this way especially DBZ Kia. I can't even imagine how he really feels. He's been through alot. Vegeta has been my favorite, especially his laugh.
Dame and this is the moment that actually show's u that Vegeta cared for Goku... He seen that Goku was bout to give up so he put his past and his pride behind him jus to encourage Goku to not give up....
This is probably one of the MOST INSPIRATIONAL MOMENT in DBZ history. Vegeta is no doubt the PROUDEST animated character OF ALL TIME!!! The kai version is much better!!!!

+Brandon Cifer That scene and the one where Vegeta dies are honestly my least favorite TFS scenes because of how they don't really take them seriously. These two are some of my favorite scenes, and they just... I don't know, it's like Vegeta had no dignity or something.
1:23 the most fitting voice for Kid Vegeta. Idk why it's always been so inconsistent over the years. The voice for him in the Broly movie were the absolute worst
It really makes it better than the voice of Kid Vegeta here in Kai was Laura Bailey who also voices Kid Trunks up till DBS when Alexis Tipton took over the role.
Bruh it’s personal preferences I like kai but I also like DBZ, personally I prefer DBZ, but I will admit kai is also good and the voice acting is much better, i prefer dbz’s music though, either way stop arguing and bashing people for their own personal preferences

For those of you wondering why Vegeta's naked:
It's symbolism.

Bardock was the saddest given the knowledge in advance what would happen and wanted to save his wife and sons and his people and stood up to a tyrant and was one of the first casualties he had the knowledge but this still couldn't aid him and he was destroyed with the rest.

let me guess. The original dub dialogue here was something like "kakarot, frieza is bad, he is a bad guy, beat him or he will do evil stuff, you are the best saiyan so you can win" XD
Mihai Mercenarul Goku was speaking very loud in the original. And his voice had no emotion. The original was horrendous.
This emotion was missing in Revival of F and is still missing in Dragon Ball Super.
Dragon Ball Super hasn't has a dark twist yet, and I'm not sure it will. But with the Trunks/Black Goku arc coming up there might be hope.

This scene proves that fiillers can be good
Yeah, this is some of the filler I'm glad they kept, it was even redrawn!
Indeed! Fillers can be good as long as they are relevant to the story and or very powerful like this scene. :)
This isn't filler, this was crucial to the plot.
@@justaclam9141facts this ain’t filler
You cannot know the torment I died in."
Damn. That was powerful. When Vegeta lay dying, I preferred the original Funi dub. For this one, though, Kai's script is far superior, and the music works well.
This line too "Unless you're the one to finish this we'll be lost...lost forever to the memory of time..."
Kai vs. Funi is a debate that will probably never end but this much is black and white - Kai's dialogue absolutely shits all over that of Z.
This one really powerful, akin to Goku's funimation speech to Krillin to spare Vegeta in the Saiyan Saga and teach him a better way.
Now we know what motivates goku in his final moments of desperation. A naked vegeta. I knew it I just knew it!

I believe this were goku truly accepted his Heritage and accepted himself as a saiyan
People ask why is Vegeta naked, but don't ask why he has his tail.
That alone makes the whole fact that he's naked make sense.
What do u mean? I do wonder both
WitchettyMan No it don't make sense why he is like that, why does he have to be naked for him to tell Goku in a sense that it is up to him to keep their Saiyan legacy alive by destroying Frieza once and for all?
Vegeta lost his tail during the fight on Earth. Since he's an adult, it's gone forever, it'll never regrow. However, it still shows here because that is not his body, that is not like when Goku dies, where he keeps the same corporeal matter from he was alive. This is Vegeta's very essence, his spirit.
@@WitchettyMan Yup. Symbolizing that Vegeta is whole here.
It's to show his purity he died as a sayian not frieza's dog. Their armor comes from frieza. So it was stripped to show frieza hadnt touched him
This, isn't another one of vegeta inspiration speeches.
+Sandro L. Jean
It's a major character development point for Vegeta too (which later got retconned away because Toriyama loved to do that buuuut………).
He had to go through this in order to achieve super saiyan. Goku had to accept his saiyan blood

Damn vegeta gives amazing speeches. He tries and tries with all his heart. Vegeta is an awesome character.
It's great to see the emotion between Goku and Vegeta here, what an incredible show and great scene.
Yeah, Vegeta's hatred of Goku in the Cell Saga was honestly kinda weird considering his last words to him, and his pride in Goku when he learned that he became a Super Saiyan.

puts the original speech to shame
i love how even frieza realized how motivating that speech was at the end
This is a different Vegeta motivational speech as i heard as a kid. You cant Deny your heritage!
KAI RULES!
Yes someone understands
I agree
kais here is poorly acted.
This scene was more emotional in Kai while Vegeta's death scene was miles mire emotional in Z.
“Everything we were survives now only in you.”
The emotion I felt when I heard this resonated with me like crazy
the voice acting in kai is just amazing! like frieza's voice is perfect.
2:17 I like to believ Frieza could see a feint image of vegeta. A spectre almost. Like he wasn't sure if he was tripping or not
great thought🥲
Rewatching DBZ as an adult changes your whole perspective on Vegeta. As a kid I couldn’t understand what he has been through, I just thought he was mean and evil for no reason. He’s actually very emotional and it’s the cutest thing ever.
Even in death vegeta motivated goku to keep on fighting just when he was about to give up, vegeta's words inspired him to live on with the pride of a sayian
This made me cry when I was a kid and still do
Man I love Dragon Ball Kai.

its like when you hear vegeta speak you can hear his pain in this video it just make you wanna cry a little now that you know his story and stuff
One of the reasons why DBZ storytelling tops any other animes in the 90s.

In my opinion, it's at THIS VERY MOMENT that Goku finally begins to truly accept his Saiyan heritage.
