  • We are at it again!! This time, we are riding the Tennessee River from Chattanooga Tennessee to Guntersville, Alabama. This is a trip that I have done by boat before but never by jet ski. It did not disappoint. Check out part one of this video where we enjoy the scenery, the smooth water and even endure a problem or two.

    These river trips via jet ski can be some of the best experiences! My wife and I completed a trip down the Colorado River from Davis Dam to Parker Dam via Lake Havasu this summer. The scenery cannot be put in words.

    • @cperki1
      @cperki1 Рік тому

      @@TheShipsLogg point to point is about 110 miles. We broke the trip over three rides. Leg one was Havasu to Parker and back. Leg two was Havasu to Topock Gorge and back and then finally Davis (Laughlin, NV) to the southern portion of Havasu.

    Enjoyed this video Capt Frank because we love Chattanooga and Tennessee River- glad you cleared the weeds!🙂This trip really inspires me to make my PWC purchase in 2023. Thanks also for your prior video review of Yamaha vs Sea-Doo! I was leaning Waverunner, but now will go with Sea-Doo Fish Pro for iDF (Intelligent Debris Flow) clearing system among other Sea-Doo features. 👍

    This is why you should carry a small paddle with you! Then you can clear yourself from obstructions without getting someone else stuck.

    Great video Captain Frank. I have Yamahas as well. I've wondered how that new Sea Doo Intelligent Debris Free (iDF) pump system works in getting grass out of the intake. I bet most brands get that feature in the coming years.

    • @TheShipsLogg
      @TheShipsLogg  Рік тому +3

      I have heard that it works well in some situations and not so well in others. They have also had quite a few issues with the system. I'm sure that it will be perfected over the next several years though.

    Guntersville is a minefield especially in recent years because of the growing eelgrass. I rented a SeaDoo spark there in 2021 and had to unclog the pump probably 5 times in the 4 hours I rented it

    When you fuel up are you able to find premium? When you can’t get premium, how does your Yamaha run on

    • @TheShipsLogg
      @TheShipsLogg  Рік тому +1

      It is often hard to find premium when on the water. I often carry a good quality octane booster with me for such occasions. If you must run 89 or 90 octane, it does run fine but your fuel economy and performance will suffer a little bit.
