Ken's father did not want his son to be conceited, spoiled and waste the family fortune so he sent his son to his friend's dojo (Gouken) to learn humility which Ken learned and became friends with Gouken's son/disciple, Ryu.
That explains so much
And in this journey for humility, he was constantly reminded that there are many guys like him all over the world.

In SF1, Ken didn't enter the first World Fighting Championship.
He was busy winning the USA Fighting Tournament (and in the EX series, he defeated Allen Snider)

Esse Street Fighter é bem difícil, mas nada que seja impossível para um TAS fazer uma Gameplay Incrível, jogando com um dos meus personagens favoritos da série, a gameplay foi fantástica meu amigo😃👍
You can tell it's a TAS because it can pull off the special moves consistently.

Well Retsu was originally gonna be in Capcom Fighting evolution alongside Sagat before getting his scar and also eagle, but they cut them out since they don't have any sprite to rip the other 2 from while eagle having one
If only ken was unlockable character in this game, it would be similar to art of fighting or fatal fury first game. 🙏🌟

Kind of interesting how this is one of the few fighting games where nobody is technically “evil”. Like, there’s no plot to take over the world or anything direct stake. It’s just a legit fighting tournament.

Até hoje não entendi porque é tão difícil fazer os comandos nesse jogo. Eu nunca consegui fazer um shoryuken nessa carniça
Por causa de uma coisa chamada input leaneancy.
Basicamente nesse jogo vc tem tipo 4 frames pra conseguir um special, talvez 5, isso faz os specials serem um truque frame perfect ou semi frame perfect(1 frame q vc tem pra perder sem errar o special).
A partir dos outros jogos a janela pra dar os inputs aumentou em tipo... 20 frames? 10?
Isso tira o espaço de 1/30 avos de segundo pra algo do tipo, 1/2 ~1/3.
Jogos mais recentes como street 4 sao ainda mais lenientes pq nao só vc tem 1 segundo inteiro pra fazer o comando, mas vc pode usar atalhos, negative edge e etc.
Nada disso existia nesse jogo oq faz o feel dele ser horrível :v
O desenvolvedor do jogo disse que fez os comandos dificeis de proposito 😡

Actually, Capcom listed the names of the two characters from SFII’s intro as Scott and Max in the SFV character encyclopedia. Though in my headcanon, I prefer to think of them as Joe and Mike. Not only as a shout out to Street Fighter 1, but because Joe punches the hole in the brick wall for the original SF1 arcade game.

Capcom should put an updated version of this game as a bonus in some new title, but with all characters available and a good gameplay :)
A remake with modern mechanics and gameplay? Yes, please!
@@ReneOque Someone did do a remake of this game in Mugen, basically adding newer street fighter features and gameplay, and all characters can be played without needing hacks now.
O Ken aí no Street Fighter 1 (assim como no Street Fighter 2 - World Warrior) é como uma cópia do Ryu por ter o mesmo Hadouken,o mesmo Shoryuken e o mesmo Tatsumakisenpuukyaku senão Hurricane Kick. Apesar disso,ele usa o kimono vermelho e tem cabelo longo loiro além de ser rico.

Ken é o amigo e rival do Ryu no Street Fighter. Bem que devia ter tido aí opção pra selecionar ele ou o Ryu como primeiro jogador no primeiro controle ao invés de ter só o Ken como segundo jogador no segundo controle apenas. Ken tem as mesmas técnicas do Ryu apesar de ser treinado pelo mesmo mestre.
E o Ryu desta vez ficou em casa treinando mais e mais, até cansar, o dia todo, todo dia.
É como diz no final do jogo, que sempre vai ter alguem mais forte para te derrubar 😅

Esse americano tem a mesma pose de vitória do Ryu. Ken é um carateca forte e poderoso assim como o amigo japonês. O cara arrebenta nas lutas e detona os oponentes com os seus golpes,com o seu punho e com os seus chutes. O loiro bota pra quebrar quando luta em Street Fighter 1.
