Fun little playground. Heading there again in 2 weeks for some spring flying.

I live right at the base of the Point of the Mountain. Thinking about getting into this. I must be missing something if people are willing to drive 9.5 hours to fly there.

It's only the most popular place to fly in the United States. Mountain works like a coastal site with easy flying.Would be safe to say the investment is well worth the money!

Wow !!! My first time on a hangglider at the point was copycat of this experience. I launched at one clock and landed about 4 pm
Thanks for sharing great memories !!

Hey man, I highly recommend switching to a half-wrap grip. So many advantages. I wish I had used it from the beginning. All the experienced XC pilots use it, they helped switch. Much better control, no worries about getting your hand out in a pinch, and it also reduces brake line twist. Try it a few flights you won't go back.

Your differently right about the half rap! I need to change to it for sure!

Thanks for posting the video. Live 90 minutes south of the point. Would like to get some lessons.

Take a drive up there one day and check it out my friend. This video was my first ever flying it but well worth the 10 hour drive from Colorado Springs! Awesome place to watch the sunset and the glow of the city.

Man the quarry is bigger than ever... they need to stop that bs. I too love to look at cars from above! Some of them are looking up at you....Those little knots will slip through the speed bar holes. I tied the bungees through little plastic beads and solved that.

That's was my problem! Bungee on the right popped out. Speed bar was under my left leg. Sucks when it slips out

@@carlcolorado3549 Walmart has little beads. Tie a good knot around them and it will never happen again. It happened to me three times before I tried that.

At 26:30 your right C riser went slack. That can be the start of a spin, sometimes.

Yeah. Happens a lot when flying out the front of lift/thermals. Swirling air tends to hit the top of the wing but it's very weak.

haha at 8:57 when you said you can see salt lake and pointed, that was actually Utah lake as you were looking south towards "Utah County" :D. To your right (north) was salt lake and salt lake county :D I live right beneath where you were flying

Ok, so I'm not completely out of my mind! How long is the drive to POM for you? 18 hours for me or I'd go more. Hey I gave a local P2 your contact info, Alejandro. Told him you might be able to fly with him in CO.
