Just a suggestion... If anyone would like to try this, there are wax pencils that can also be used in applying "gems" to nail art. These wax pencils make picking up gems just as easy, and can be sharpened. Although when you sharpen them you do want to dull the edge a slight bit.
Hello Cloe. When you use e6000, put the glue on the castle and wait for 5 to 10 minutes and then you put the crystals on the castle. For picking up the crystals you use a cheap diamondpaint stick... 😊
I had previously researched this castle when I first heard of it. There are 678,402 crystals and it took over 3800 hours to complete. If I remember correctly they made the castles, but they did not decorate them yet until they sell the first or get a custom order. Considering the time involved, let alone the cost, I don’t blame them. I mean breaking that dollar amount to just per crystal, that’s what 42¢ per crystal; which would have to include cost of crystal, adhesive, labor, and the castle structure. If they can sell it, more power to them, but I imagine it is a draw to attract viewers and maybe sell something else. I used to have a few Pieces of Light made with wire and Swarovski Crystals at events that were more expensive in the hopes I could sell those. But then you have to transport it and store it somewhere.
I recently did a similar project decorating a microphone with crystals. I used one of those diamond painting tools that you dip in wax. It worked perfectly on the crystals to pick up and apply to the surface.
My first job was as a bead counter! Seriously, I didn't realize that those packets had people actually count them out before I started that job. I probably would have used guerilla glue double stick tape along with the diamond art tool.
I used to make ballroom gowns. These were my nemesis.😂 They're beautiful once you get them on. I bought my granddaughter one of those cheap diamond art kits and I used the tool from that to put the gems on anything after that. I know the struggle. Looking forward to part 2. Nice job! Now you know why the original was so expensive. 😁
As a poor art loving child. A couple layers of electrical tape on both sides of the tweezer ends to pick up the crystals if you dont have a wax pen. It saved me so much time in the past
1:59 I would guess around 40,000 pieces of glass, *hem, hem*, sorry crystals on the castle, haven't finished the video yet, but excited to see what you created!
I am soooo glad she said something about the smell. I have seen so mamy creators recommend e6000 but they never say anything about it. The most would recommend working in a well ventilated area. Used this crap before to fix a broken refrigerator handle. Just one tiny dallop on each side of the scree hole on each side. Thats it. The entire house smelled like a ture shop for a whole week.
I definitely would’ve used nail supplies; a wax picker, cheap crystals and rhinestone glue or even base coat and a little uv light. No gloopy glue or headaches, much cheaper crystals in all the colors you need. There are several better and cheaper options to do this. However, I admire your willingness to continue through the frustration of doing it the way you did it. And it did turn out pretty. Great job!
Uv resin with no ventilation will certainly give you headaches. Also if you get the resin on the front or over any facets, it dulls the shine to nothing.
Should you decide to cover more surfaces with gems, I’d suggest looking into super glues. You can use activator sprays to instantly set the glue and would make your life a lot easier!
If you enjoyed this process, you should 1000% try diamond painting. Also, it pains me to watch you using E6000 and tweezers when diamond painting tools would’ve been perfect for this 😭😅
I wonder if the strips of rhinestones for scrapbooking come in glass. That would have made this a breeze! I also think spray adhesive would have been easier... But the mess might not be worth it.
Wow I love this so much 🥰 and you were sparkling just like the crystals 💎 can't wait to see part two, so nice to see you happy and enjoying your amazing art
I'm surrounded by rhinestones as a dance costumer. A wax pencil will be your best friend, you can even use a bit of the wax on your sticks to help the stones to stick.
Gluing countless tiny embellishments is the bane of my crafting life. Pretty sure every crafting tool I have has splodges of glue from attempting to keep wee bits in place! Wax pencils really do help though.
I was going to say for something like this you should look up tools for diamond painting art, because they use pens with a hollow tip that you stick wax into and use to pick the "drills" or crystals up with. And a handy thing you can do so you don't run out of wax is simply put blue/sticky tak in the pen instead so its reuseable and never runs out. They also have things like trays that help line up the crystals to make picking them up easier, and wax pens that can pick up and apply lines of crystals instead of one at a time. And I was also going to suggest a less, intense? Glue if you're not going to be rolling around with the finished castle. I made a small kitset house model where the glue you used was recommended. I bought it but thought it was expensive so I didn't really want to use it... I used normal PVA instead. Worked perfectly fine, just had to make sure some things could stay in place long enough for it to set. Note that using too much glue can cause things to slide too where a small amount might just allow them to stick and stay. And yeah generally with something like that where you can't stick it in a position to keep the side that is drying flat it does make sense to work from the bottom up so as you're working the stuff that has dried will stay in place and support the layers above it. Basically just some stuff that would have been handy for you to know before hand but at least it can possibly help if you decide to torture yourself trying to do another crystal themed item? (or help anyone else thinking of doing one and reading the comments). Also I feel sorry for your poor hands, I know mine felt terrible after I tried some diamond art for a bit. What we see looks great so far though! Very sparkly, looking forward to the second part!
I was surprised when you said you were using twezzers, as the first thought that came to my mind was diamond painting tools, especially the longer ones that you can apply several at a time in a straight line!
Wow!!! Nice project!!! I understand you want to keep going when you started to see the results! So much work there!! Beautifull, I'm excited to see part 2🥰🥰🥰🥰
This makes me want to diamond paint many random things I see in my house. I'm looking around like oooh I could spruce that up or give this some sparkly bits. 😊
It's been brought up, but I came to say it, so I'm gonna say it, lol! The easiest way is to use a diamond painting tool. The diamond painting tool would seriously make things so much easier.
This was a great video, I really enjoyed it. Glad you used PPE in the end, I greatly admire your patience with doing each gem individually, I think I would have given up after hour 2
ok, I usually hit the like button on your video's, but just for your own reference... I hit it right away wen you made that joke '2 dollars short' with such a straight face! 🤣
Into your video I began to think, that you could use the glue for diamond dots paintings (you can buy the glue like normal glue and when it’s dry a little it becomes tacky) that could help with the problem of glue on the tweezers and you could use a diamond dots tweezers to put the crystals on)
Was watching this like others wishing you were using diamond art supplies. However, also wanted to say you inspired myself and my daughter to be more creative with our diamond art and art supplies we already have. 1st project diamond art pumpkin. Can't wait to see the finished art project and the comparison to the original
I can't believe how long it took you to do all the gluing. It is very much trickier than I expected. I once rhinestoned my white satin ballroom shoes to repurpose them for my wedding. I feel like it took forever due to the e6000 mess too.
You should have gotten one of those crystal picker uppers. They use them in craft (white pencil) and in Diamond Art kits. Makes crystal placing a breeze.
Not that I think you have any desire to do this again lol, (turned out so pretty though!) Looking fabulous despite the trouble it's been! 😍 I highly recommend you get Museum Gel which is an adhesive gel to place under expensive, breakable items to keep them from getting knocked down from rambunctious dogs and clumsy people 😁
Glass artist here. The difference between what you used and crystals is lead and time to make. In the castles case the brand name too. Things like this or any "designer" brand is you pay for the name and their history/quality.
Watching you makes wanna go dig through my diamond painting stach and strat diamond painting again. I go through phases of doing didn't crafts lol. Right now its learning how to abstract art to just play around and have to worry about a stunning painting 😂
I did crystals back in the Ed Hardy crystal t shirt days. Best and cheapest option is a wood chopstick and chapstick. Beats ALL of the crystal applicators out now.
This is awesome!!! I love the original- wish I could afford to own one as I am a huge Disney fan and glitter freak But I adore your version!!! ❤❤❤❤ I may have to try this myself!! 😊
It's looking great so far! 😮 I did wonder if laying it on its side would help the gens not droop down as much atleast to start but not sure if it would smudge the gems later on when there's more on it. Yesssssss! Always❤
If you do this again you could try using the diamond painting pens.
Also that would be another fun video to watch.
What if you used one of those pens from a diamond painting kit? Some of them comes with attachments to get into small-ish places.
Only 266 likes I can change that :)
Me as a diamond painter knowing she could have just used a diamond painting pen and crystal adhesive the whole time. It's looking fantastic though!
I literally said this 😂😂
Sammeeee like she should have just used wax lol
Literally first thing that came to my mind. Diamond painters unite!
I was about to say the same
I was wondering the same thing. My daughter does those and it was the first thing I thought of.
Just a suggestion... If anyone would like to try this, there are wax pencils that can also be used in applying "gems" to nail art. These wax pencils make picking up gems just as easy, and can be sharpened. Although when you sharpen them you do want to dull the edge a slight bit.
Came here to say the same thing 😆
Yep, diamond dot tools would be so much better than tweezers!
I've even used wax pencils for drawing and eyeliner pencils also work well
@@ricky7111 very cool!
Thought that immediately. What the heck? So much easier.
Hello Cloe. When you use e6000, put the glue on the castle and wait for 5 to 10 minutes and then you put the crystals on the castle.

Omg. That title is golden. 'MAKING THINGS I CANT AFFORD'. 😂❤ so relatable.

Post part 2 please. 80k plus views, and if you say you’re going to post a part 2, you should.
You just know Michaels staff are like "Omg here she is again, bet she's addicted to that glue" 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
I'm weirdly invested in watching Chloe bedazzle a cookie jar.
Yes - I’m so with you! I want to watch Chloe bedazzle everything! It’s absolutely gorgeous.
I recently did a similar project decorating a microphone with crystals. I used one of those diamond painting tools that you dip in wax. It worked perfectly on the crystals to pick up and apply to the surface.
The wax tool I bought was a game changer! 🙏
Came to say the same thing.
I did one with a mirror that I bought (still haven’t finished lol I got it in may)
I was coming to say i bet you could use a diamond painting pen lol
My first job was as a bead counter! Seriously, I didn't realize that those packets had people actually count them out before I started that job.

Even better is a little dot of hot glue on the tips
1:59 I would guess around 40,000 pieces of glass, *hem, hem*, sorry crystals on the castle, haven't finished the video yet, but excited to see what you created!
How can I complain about waiting for part 2 after all the work you've done? Beautiful
The fact you got a headache and sacrificed HOURS to make this for us 😫❤️ I can’t wait to see part twooooo
Editing Chloe got me crying of laughter. Also, her humor is getting dry and very British which makes sense and i love it
I am soooo glad she said something about the smell.
You could take a regular dress (maybe from a thrift store) and try to make it look like a Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, or any designer brand dress
I definitely would’ve used nail supplies; a wax picker, cheap crystals and rhinestone glue or even base coat and a little uv light. No gloopy glue or headaches, much cheaper crystals in all the colors you need. There are several better and cheaper options to do this. If you do any future things like this, make a "Bed" of a towel where you can lay your 3 dimensional project flat then your glue won't run.
So beautiful, looking forward to seeing the finished model, fantastic work!
For anyone wondering, the original castle has 678,402 Swarovski crystals on it and took 6 months to make
I wonder if the strips of rhinestones for scrapbooking come in glass. That would have made this a breeze!
I also think spray adhesive would have been easier... But the mess might not be worth it.
Wait where is part 2? Subscribed but no part 2 from the 5th of September??
on her 2nd channel she said this video didn't do well
☹️ too bad! I would love to see her at Disney with her version!!!
I loved this! Looking forward to part 2!!
You can also put some wax candle wax one lil sticks tip to help pick up the gems
This feels like almost every time I've attempted to make something i can't afford thanks you for making me feel less of a doof!
Wow I love this so much 🥰 and you were sparkling just like the crystals 💎 can't wait to see part two, so nice to see you happy and enjoying your amazing art
I have so many diamond painting gems left over and this is such an inspiration for an art project!
Wax pencils really do help though.
future chloe editing roasting past chloe is the best, now I get why only 50 were made 😆

I absolutely want to see part 2! Looks fantastic so far
Maybe check out nail art supplies. I'm seen similar tools just at a smaller size. It might help with those fiddliy bits
I was surprised when you said you were using twezzers, as the first thought that came to my mind was diamond painting tools, especially the longer ones that you can apply several at a time in a straight line!
i love when people match their outfit to their eye color. so pretty
This is already so stunning, can't wait for part 2
I’ve been enjoying your last couple videos. I feel like you’re enjoying “crafting” more. ❤
Thank you ❤️ I’m trying to put more effort into my content so I’m glad you noticed!
I think I would have gotten a superglue paint on brush and a diamond painting tool. But either way it’s looking fantastic now!
Wow!!! Nice project!!! I understand you want to keep going when you started to see the results! So much work there!! Beautifull, I'm excited to see part 2🥰🥰🥰🥰
Chloe, I love watching your content. You are so relatable, and you crack me up!! Keep making content that makes you happy!
So excited to see part two. It’s awesome that you picked up the wax tip pen to help. That’s what a lot of diamond painters use. 😀💜💜
This is the most intense version of diamond painting I've ever seen
This makes me want to diamond paint many random things I see in my house. I'm looking around like oooh I could spruce that up or give this some sparkly bits. 😊
“Go be a know it all somewhere else” is the most polite way of saying it. 😂
Oh this does look quite lovely! Sorry for the glue woes
White pencil made for putting rhinestones on finger nails. Works great and super cheap
I love this new editing style from Chloe! This video is so fun 😂😂
Someone in the AP group did this with the toy castle. Its bigger than rhe cookie jar and it came out amazing!
It's been brought up, but I came to say it, so I'm gonna say it, lol! The easiest way is to use a diamond painting tool. Also, there's an adhesive specifically made for Swarovski crystals, I use it for all my crystals and I'll never use anything else. Waiting for the day this video gets 1M likes *which it deserves* 😍
It's absolutely ASTONISHING!
Krystal Katana from Stamplistic works great to pick up crystals and place them on your projects.
This was a great video, I really enjoyed it. Glad you used PPE in the end, I greatly admire your patience with doing each gem individually, I think I would have given up after hour 2
Your dedication to finishing this is amazing 😮it is fabulous 👌 ❤😊
ok, I usually hit the like button on your video's, but just for your own reference... I hit it right away wen you made that joke '2 dollars short' with such a straight face! 🤣
It’s September 7, but I can’t find part 2?
on her other channel she talked about how this video got lost so she didn't post part 2
Glad you finally found the jewel picker tool. I’ve seen the same kind of tool in manicure tools for a little cheaper
Please continue this series I love it! 💕
This is your best video till date... Loved the editing ❤
It looks beautiful though. Can’t wait to see part 2
Into your video I began to think, that you could use the glue for diamond dots paintings (you can buy the glue like normal glue and when it’s dry a little it becomes tacky) that could help with the problem of glue on the tweezers and you could use a diamond dots tweezers to put the crystals on)
It’s looking good so far!!!
me and my shaky hands could NEVER!! especially in the smaller areas and tight spaces lol. can't wait to see the final product!! 💖
Was watching this like others wishing you were using diamond art supplies.
However, also wanted to say you inspired myself and my daughter to be more creative with our diamond art and art supplies we already have. 1st project diamond art pumpkin.
Can't wait to see the finished art project and the comparison to the original
Your nails are beautiful during all that tweezing.
I can't believe how long it took you to do all the gluing. It is very much trickier than I expected. I once rhinestoned my white satin ballroom shoes to repurpose them for my wedding. I feel like it took forever due to the e6000 mess too.
Love this idea, it looks stunning! Xx 😍
Where is part 2 Chloe?
I have been waiting.....
on her 2nd channel she talked about this
Ohh... Thanks so much... I shall check 😊
You should have gotten one of those crystal picker uppers. They use them in craft (white pencil) and in Diamond Art kits. Makes crystal placing a breeze.
When it comes to things sliding off it is best to start at the bottom
Not that I think you have any desire to do this again lol, (turned out so pretty though!) I use little gems on my nails and I use a dotting tool or a tooth pick with a tiny ball of sticky tack on the end to help pick up and place my gems. Works like a charm and you don't need any fancy tools. I'm sure you could even use a pencil to do the job with the sticky tack. Figured I'd comment this for anyone else in the comments it could help ❤
I bling things out for a hobby. Before you bling anything out, you want to lightly sand the surface and then clean with rubbing alcohol. You can use Krystal Glaze glue it is non-toxic and is a flexible glue. Also, liquid fusion is a good glue to use. Your castle came out beautiful.
You needed a crystal catana for placing the gems….the tool nail techs use to do nail art.
Loved this! It actually looks BEAUTIFUL
Gorgeous! Please do this again. Please use the E6000 no fume version. It really saves on the headaches and ventilate! Also there is a wholesale rhinestone dealer (in the U.S. though) for PRECIOSA called Northeastern Importing. (You’ll need a tax I.D. Number). They are made in the Czech republic -If you check the package they might be the ‘no ski’ version. The packages are usually 10 gross in a package but as you found out, you go through a lot of them. So whoever wants to do this for anything (because what doesn’t look good covered in rhinestones?) get the large packages!
If you do this again you can cheat with gutter. Put glitter down in a color that matches your stones. Then when it is dry glue in the stones. The glitter will give you a grit to attach to and I will visually fill in gaps.
I’ve seen this in person at Disney Springs and it’s absolutely STUNNING.
Years ago I worked applying crystals to things and we used wood sticks like the ones you eventually picked up, but they were tipped with a wax blob. They were made for exactly this type of task . So much smaller than the plastic wax dauber from Michael’s (and much cheaper), plus they could get into tiny nooks much more easily.
I love the snippets of your later self at the begining 🤣🤣👌
This is going to look AMAZING!! 😍😍😍
Definitely a labour of love. Cant wait to see the finished castle! ❤
Where's part two?
yeah i was thinking the sameee
You actually spent one one thousandth of the cost of the original and have a beautiful work of art!
If you do anything with crystals again use a crystal katana or crystal wax pencil. It will save you so much time and stress ❤
Editor chloe additions are... *Chef's kiss*
I love it! I feel like this process is something that you could have Livestreamed. 2 revenue streams in 1 project.🤷🏾♀️
I would definitely have watched this, chatted, and worked along with you.
Looking fabulous despite the trouble it's been! 😍 I highly recommend you get Museum Gel which is an adhesive gel to place under expensive, breakable items to keep them from getting knocked down from rambunctious dogs and clumsy people 😁
Have you tried diamond painting? Looks like you would enjoy it.
Are you ever going to upload part 2?
Big fan of editting Clo
This is awesome!!! I love the original- wish I could afford to own one as I am a huge Disney fan and glitter freak
But I adore your version!!! ❤❤❤❤
I may have to try this myself!! 😊
It's looking great so far! 😮 I did wonder if laying it on its side would help the gens not droop down as much atleast to start but not sure if it would smudge the gems later on when there's more on it. Can't wait to see the finished piece! 😄 I has heard of the swarovski ones and I love the idea of making your own one. Can't wait to see it compared to the castle at disneyland as well. I have a few gem style things for nail art and had just been using a bit of shaped bluetac stuck to the tip of an old cylindrical nail polish bottle to put them on but I am very intrigued by the wax pencil (and peoples sugestions on the diamon art sticks and wax) thanks for the tip! 😃
So cool! Can’t wait for part 2!
you should have used a diamond dot/painting tool for $2 would have picked them up easy
