Phew, fictional story telling is for sure a lot different from my regular story time videos. Still tried to implement it correctly though, because I want there to be some kind of a red string.
In case something about the biology in this video is wrong, be sure to roast me in the comments because I am literally in Bio AP and I should probably know better... y'all might as well help me out with my Abitur Exam.

Fun fact: Fluttershy and PinkiePie used to be made patient zero a lot before people started getting sick of them almost always getting infected first. A lot of the mlp infection au creators responded by either sparing them or making them get infected later on.

Interesting seeing you point out how Flutters is usually spared bc most of the AUs I’ve come across have her be patient zero, maybe it’s bc of Tumblrs mlp community differing from TikTok’s? In any case I always love seeing how people interpret the outbreak in these AUs, and an amoeba is a particularly unique one!!
they mostly spare her cause 1,discord. 2,she keep's to her self, or she's so up to date on her shot's/meds due to working with so many animals heck any worms she might have would probably kill off as she's there host and no one else's

"Antibiotics" 🙂 Antibiotics do not work on parasites. Antibiotics are a specific type of pharmaceutical that target bacteria. However, antiparasitic drugs, would work on a parasite.

I probably would have made Spike… maybe a dog? But a purple-grey colour and maybe with brown-green coloured spots? It doesn’t change it TOO much just lowers the actual saturation and changes the hue slightly.

But for now the parasite seems really light, the stories that my biologist friend tells about real parasites are way more terrifying. But still, can't wait to see the end of this story!

I can't wait to see what stage 3 looks like! Stage 2 is creepy, but creepy without too many physical changes which is REALLY impressive! It's easy to make zombies look creepy, but women who just have a rash? Not as easy!
While you were talking about immunity, I thought of something. It's not super smart or anything, but I think it correlates a bit with MLP lore. And that being that in the end, Twi is either immune/finds a cure. In the ending of the show, she's an alicorn, yadda yadda, lives longer (I think?), so her outliving her friends in an infection AU could be a way to honour that.
This take is really intriguing. I’m interested to know how the parasite prevents the host cells from self-destructing (it’s a mechanism that allows the body to stop hitchhikers). Some interfere with the cell’s ability to self-destruct or if it’s really good at interfering with the immune system’s internal function (like stopping signals from being sent out, sending out indiscriminate chemical bombs in sensitive areas, etc). Or maybe the parasite is really really good at camouflaging. Regardless, interesting take! ❤

I'm taking the latter idea of using the EG, but considering using either:
The human 6's powers start to hurt them (a controlled personal sickness)
Something involving Gloriossa Daisy
Wallflower Blush and her memory loss stone
Something involving The Dazzlings
Science + storyline + art = masterpiece
fluttershy eating spike due to art style struggles is a mood tbh

Ah yes, Cupcakes. I made the mistake of reading that after reading Sweet Apple Massacre and Princess Molestia. All three were disturbing in their own way. The unholy trio of infamous MLP fanfics at the time.
The company I worked for at the time had just finished a new building in a nearby town and pulled people in from all the surrounding stores to get everything ready. We spent about three weeks setting everything up and then they threw a small party in the break room. What was their main snack food in there? *Cupcakes with blue and pink frosting* . I had just finished reading Cupcakes a week before and I almost threw up. :)

Nice work. Personally, I would have gone with a fungal infection rather than an amoeba-based one since I watched Kyle Hill’s video on The Walking Dead, but who knows, that may clash with your creative choices. Like I always mention, I’m more of a technical than a creative. Also, you may wanna check out Equestria at War for Hearts of Iron IV, it’s how me and the bois find this franchise immersive. Heh.
I feel like every mlp infection au is like a book I read, it's about a disease that's like rabies that makes a dog hostile, then slowly deteriorate. I've seen no infection au that deals with a prion disease, a prion is like a protein that kills off cells, and I think it does stuff to the brain, so, I'd like to see one of those lol
I know we'd *all* love a Part 2! And thanks for adding details to your AU, because the others I've seen are interesting but since they're all just several ideas stringed together it's not as fun. To me at least. This just makes it feel more legit.

Fun fact: WW2 Grand Strategy game "Hearts of Iron 4" has a mod called "Equestria at War" which as you might guess is a MLP mod and the funniest thing is that its actually one of the best made mods in the game and as a guy who grew up watching MLP, it was a real mindfuck :D

i found most actually make fluttershy one of th first infected(not saying that this isnt an amazing example of what to do when making her the first on infected). its only recent AUs not making her the first infected because others felt bad.

as for why use to make fluttershy the first infected AUs its usual because she is kind and often help those to her own destreminte or because she's exposed to animals more, which its what most its transmitte through.
