Its easy to make points that could contradict her statements using her view of morality as well. Now assuming animals are like people but aren’t people due to be a different species, cannibalism cannot happen. Being a cannibal requires eating something of your own species. So technically if you eat a cow that died of natural causes is okay. Using the parts of it is also okay as consent is no longer needed. As for milk, cows need to use their milk because the utter continuously swells with more milk until it is released and could cause death or injury. So in situations of still born calves (or other issues that causes the death of the calf) you need to release the milk in order to stop pain, injury, and possibly death. So now we are at the point we can ethically eat any meat as any animal that dies of natural causes can be consumed as well as its parts, skin for leather, feathers, bones, ect. Now if you make the point of disrespecting the corpse, you can argue ‘under what set of morals’ some cultures usually less advanced use human skin, bones, and even meat for consumption and use. It is a sign of respect, religious ritual, or something else. So unless you are disrespecting others religion, rituals, or cultural beliefs, you can argue using corpses of animals is okay. We also know can use milk from most if not every animal. Milk needs to be released and if the offspring of the animal has died it can no longer use its milk in the natural way so it must be gotten rid of with help assuming it cannot do it by itself. Now for the egg situation. This one is more of a complicated issue but can be fairly straightforward depending on how you look at it. If a chicken lays infertile eggs or eggs not fertilized those eggs can be consumed. It does not host life and it does not have the possibility of hosting life therefore those eggs can be taken and consumed. Using this logic any animals eggs can be consumed using this context as there is no threat to life or possible life. Also going by her logic all life matters so abortion in any sense is also murder. If she does care about infertile chicken eggs being consumed, then any form of abortion is also murder. So if she got pregnant and used plan B, got a regular abortion, or used another method to terminate a fetus she would be a murderer. Also how far does the belief go? If you step on an ant is that murder? Swatting a mosquito? At what point do we draw a line or is there no line to be drawn and all life matters equally?

there are slaughter-free milk brands out there like Ahimsa Milk, it is one of the most ethical milk brands out there, they basically do an Indian method of farming, when a cow can't produce milk after years of milk production, they are sent to join the rest of their friends in a non milking herd which is like retirement, no artificial insemination they let the bulls impregnate the cows, when a cow has a calf especially a male one they aren't sent to slaughter for veal. Mother and calf get to stay together.

Doesn’t Tash understand that when male calves are taken from their mothers in the dairy industry that it doesn't just steam from the dairy industry but it also steams from the meat industry itself aswell bc veal is at a high demand for meat consumers. If people stopped eating veal it would greatly improve the dairy industries and especially dairy farms bc the farms show more compassion. They would basically be forced to change. Consuming dairy it's self is not a problem it's the fact that certain meat consumers are still eating veal they are still contributing to this problem.

Edit: Going further down the line of all life is equal. Would taking antibiotics be considered genocide? As bacteria are living beings, so does treating illness also count as murder? You are actively using something akin to poison or a biological weapon on bacteria if you use antibiotics. So do we draw a line there? I mean you would be killing what, hundreds of thousands to maybe hundreds of millions of individual bacteria? Where is the line that you draw.

They wouldn’t need to be sheared if they weren’t selectively bred to have that health defect. You can’t cause a problem to someone and then use that problem to justify needing to abuse them. The wool industry kills, despite what people might think. And sheep still suffer with heat during summer because even though they are sheared in spring, the wool grows back quickly and farmers won’t keep the fur short because that would make it valueless.
