Thanks so much for providing that article about sucrolose. I really like how Keto Chow took the time to explain and provide facts. Very nice. Also, thanks for reviewing so many flavors so we don't have to! This type of review required so much work since you had to spread it out into several days. I like seeing you with your different family members, that's fun!
Hi.. thanks for sharing, Courtney have grown into a nice young lady ..hi Terry now I see where you’re daughter gets her looks from mom.Waiting on order from Keto Chow
Thanks for the reviews. I have thought about trying keto chow. The bags are out of my budget but sample size may be the way to go till I pick a favorite. Love seeing your family in your videos!
I include Raspberry Cheesecake in every order I place. It's in my top 5 flavors. Chocolate Peanut Butter, Egg Nog, Orange Cream are also in the top 5. Chocolate Toffee is probably my favorite but in it I use a half stick of melted Irish Butter in place of whipping cream to bring out the toffee flavor.
Raspberry Cheesecake has been in my top favorite Keto Chow flavors for years. I loved your reactions to that one. I love the pumpkin flavor in a pumpkin sausage soup recipe from the website, and I use the egg now in my keto pancakes for a French toast kind of flavor.
@@SeriousKeto I expect so! I have a Ninja Creami in the mail now, haha. I started watching you because of Indigo Nili's video where she started making Keto Chow ice cream, and she mentioned your tip of using tara gum. I've made a lot of KC ice cream in the past, but it was with a compression coil ice cream maker. Weirdly, though, I don't think I ever made the raspberry, despite it being one of my favorite flavors of KC. My favorite flavor back when I made KC ice cream a lot was the Butterfinger hack with half chocolate peanut butter, half chocolate toffee. I also really like root beer float as an ice cream. I'm very excited to experiment with the Creami.
I love all if your videos. I really loved reading all of the comments in this one and getting ideas for using the Keto Chow. I also appreciate the link to the article on Sucralose. It provides such excellent information.
Rum extract in the pina colada helps, and the raspberry cheesecake has a recipe on the website for scones that is fabulous. The pumpkin spice caramel tasted like pumpkin curry to me, so I will make a curry dish with it, and the cookies and cream I mix with chocolate, or use for pancakes. There's a way to "fix" any flavor. I was not fond of the vanilla so I mixed it with every other flavor until it was used up, and being allergic to grapefruit means I will never try the guava grapefruit because Chris confirmed there is grapefruit in it. Looking forward to seeing you review the rest of the flavors. I love making the drop biscuits with the Savory Chicken and making a sausage gravy with that or the beef soup base. If you make the beef using butter it is like a buttered steak in liquid form. I was amazed by that one!
Just ordered a starter bundle with your link. Hope you get a little kick back. Looking forward to trying a new product. Always enjoy your videos as I can sympathize with being the only keto person in an otherwise non keto household.
I cannot wait to get some Keto Chow!! I've been yearning for it for a while now, but haven't had the funds...perhaps this month...I hope so, anyway!! Love to you and your family! ❤💙💜
Steve, good morning. Good Video. I learned about Keto Chow from your channel. I love keto chow and have a shake almost everyday. Have you tried some of the Keto chow “Hacks”, like butterfinger, snickers, etc. It is where you combine two flavors of keto chow. You gave me an idea for the pumpkin spice and will have to make it with coffee for a latte. Have a great rest of your Wednesday. Thank you.
I've been making double batches lately mixing flavors with their chocolate. I strongly recommend it. Chocolate and strawberry and choc banana are to die for. Their chocolate flavors use real cocoa
I have been thinking of using the product Keto Chow, but have been leery. Your video regarding the different flavors has been very helpful, and I thank you for sharing! I also read the article about Sucralose and felt vindicated from so many that think that I must be crazy! Being a T2 and very hard core to boot, I have tried so many sweeteners and so many hike my glucose levels! But I learned by testing that Sucralose can actually make my glucose level go down as far as 10 points! I always use the DaVinci brand of liquid Sucralose for my coffee and it’s delicious! There’s many flavors to choose from! I watch you all the time and I love your honesty and kindness! Thank you!
Great product review Serious Keto family!😀👍 i enjoy seeing them. I still haven't tried Keto Chow, but the new flavors are very appealing😁 High price is holding me back 🙃 Hey Steve, could you please make a video of you making it into an ice cream?! Thanks!💜🙏✌🌞💐🎶
Your face when you really like something is awesome. I may try some spiced rum in the eggnog. :-). I’m also wondering how this would work in mason jar ice cream for those of us without an ice cream maker.
The 2 Krazy Ketos have a recipe on their site (and video) for Keto Chow blender ice cream if you have a good blender. I don't think any of the recipes will yield an ice cream that can be stored in the freezer without becoming a block of ice yet but the soft serve ice creams are still good.
Cookies&Cream tastes more like a creamy vanilla to me. Not my favorite as a shake, but pretty versatile in recipes. You're right about the black cocoa powder. It really does kick up the Oreo flavor in this shake. Pumpkin Spice Caramel is the sweetest Keto Chow to me. It's more caramel than pumpkin to me. Try blending in a bit of pureed real pumpkin. Raspberry Cheesecake is one of my favorites. Eggnog is one of the flavors to which I like to add cardamom. Strawberry is not my favorite. It's better if you blend it with a couple frozen strawberries and some ice cubes. Thanks for the video. I've been drinking Keto Chow for a couple of years.
Courtney, I could relate to your first reaction. This stuff gets thicker the longer it sits. I LOVE raspberry cheesecake and IT'S SOLD OUT (I made "ice cream" by combining yogurt and a lot of ice and a little half and half- I just cant do hwc or butter) BUT IT'S sold out!! Love your reviews!
That's for the taste test. I've been curious about Keto Chow and may finally try some since there's a discount code. I'm excited to see you make some ice cream with it. Also, I'm curious about the savory flavors and what recipes/applications you come up with.
Just FYI, there are already quite a few recipes including for the savory flavors on the Keto Chow website. I'm looking forward to what Steve comes up with too. As for recipes from KC directly, I'm a big fan of the drop biscuits that use the savory chicken soup flavor.
I love this video! Pumpkin Spice and Eggnog are both among my favorites. Try adding cream cheese as your fat in the Raspberry Cheesecake. It's pretty much amazing!
I love keto chow!!! I cant do shakes. I make ice cream with mine and that’s my dinner every other night. Chocolate Toffee, chocolate, Mocha, Carmel Macchiato, they all taste good to me. I will say letting it sit overnight is best for the flavor. This is a great way to have a mea replacement for those who are super busy. Under 4 bucks for a meal I’ll take it!
I've tried almost all the flavors now and find I like Cookies & Cream for it's subtleness, it's a good every day flavor. Sometimes you need a break from the stronger flavors. Chocolate Toffee is another winner, especially if you make it with salted butter. Root beer float and orange cream (made with hwc) are also great, as treats now and then since the flavors are pretty strong.
Those cups are awesome! Cookies and cream is a pretty subtle flavor, as you saw. I've considered adding black coca to the recipe but there are enough people that really love it how it is, I'm very hesitant to mess with them. Raspberry Cheesecake was one that Miriam unconditionally mandated we introduce, that and Chocolate Toffee were non-negotiable =)
i double dog dare you, Chris, to make something with the black cocoa. there's lots of people that lean toward the more slightly bitter... you guys make so many delicious flavors...i know you can do it.
Chris - if you could just test out how much black cocoa is needed then i don't mind adding it myself :). It would really bring cookies and cream to the next level
I’ve considered buying and adding the black coca myself. I have only 1 cookie and cream packet . I tend to toss a flavor in the garbage if I don’t like it.
Hello! Love your channel and the work you put into it. I was thinking you might want to make your keto Chow with a different fat source like butter or cream cheese (melted and using hot water to blend) for the flavors you weren’t too thrilled with. Might change taste to get it closer to the true flavor. ❤️
Looking at your glasses I couldn’t help but feel like you really needed some Marty Moose glassware; in fact given your love for pop-culture & movies i’m somewhat surprised you don’t already own them!😜
I have made the raspberry cheesecake into fat bombs and ice cream. Was/is my favorite. But then I discovered the caramel macchiato and oh my goodness...Yum! Snickerdoodle is another of my favorites...
I just got some so can't try them them. I ordered the starter kit just to see how it goes. I do total carbs so interested in seeing how it fits into macros.
I’ve tried all these flavors and I agree with your reviews except in eggnog. It didn’t taste much like anything in my opinion. Lemon and Chocolate are my favorite Keto Chow flavors.
I love the Eggnog, Pumpkin Spice Caramel, and the Raspberry Cheesecake. I agree that the Cookies & Cream doesn't taste like it. Snickerdoodle, Pistachio, Caramel Macchiato, and Salted Caramel are just a few of my faves. I drink a Keto Chow every day for lunch. Love it! PS... The Pumpkin Spice Caramel is this week's flavor of the week. 👏😁
I agree with you about Pina colada and cookies and cream. Neither brings the flavor. Egg Nog and Raspberry Cheesecake are great. I make ice cream out of both of them.
Thanks, Steve! I love Keto Chow. So many flavors!! I'm looking forward to the savory ones once the weather cools off. Have you tried Altas Bars? I just came across them but am not sure how I feel about the vegetable glycerine. How about a review :-) I'm curious if there will be a blood sugar impact.
i'm waiting for the savory flavors to come again in the big bags. so versatile. made a great curry soup using the chicken flavor and adding spices. yummy. can't wait to makes gravies with the other savory flavors. would really like to see Chris and Miriam take it more main stream... but that probably means they give up equity or some other business disadvantage...
I still need to experiment with the savory flavors. That will be an October video. The problem with taking things "mainstream" is that everyone in the distribution/sales chain wants a piece of the profit. For example, I can tell you that one company I've done business with told me that Amazon takes 40%.
I didn’t think the pumpkin spice or the egg nog taste that much like what they are supposed to. I like them. I love keto chow I think it’s good and fills you up but so far my favorite is chocolate and salted caramel. Next I and going to get that raspberry cheesecake so I hope it’s good
I got cookies & cream because it's my favorite ice cream. I agree with you and Courtney's take on it. I knew it was cookies & cream and still couldn't tell what flavor it was.
@@SeriousKeto I was just disappointed because it's my favorite and was looking for a Blizzard type treat. The chocolate mint was great, that's my second favorite ice cream. I have a package of pumpkin spice and might do in coffee later in the week when the dreary weather arrives from Hurricane Ida.
You should try adding some sweetener to the flavors you don't find sweet enough. I add a little liquid stevia to basically all of the sweet flavors and it really seems to bump up not only the sweetness, but the flavor as well. I also add salt to most of the flavors.
Oh my gosh. You have to make the keto chow shakes with melted butter. The flavor is so much more rich when using butter as a fat source. I have tried at least half of the sweet flavors, (these are the ones I liked: chocolate peanut butter, mocha Chino, salted caramel, snickerdoodle-This one surprised me I really liked it and I didn’t expect to, chocolate, raspberry cheesecake, piña colada) I mixed them up with heavy whipping cream and then the next time I made it I mixed it up with butter. Butter nearly always wins. The only time I found I liked heavy whipping cream better is when I used it (about half-and-half ratio) with softened cream cheese as the fat source for the raspberry Cheesecake flavor. Yum!
I put all the non fruit flavors in coffee. I almost always mix 3 packets at a time and mix 3 different flavors-then use half coffee and half of the KC mix with lots of ice in a very large cup! Pina colada is my least favorite flavor of all the KC.
Being on keto now for seven years, I have really lost my taste for sweet. I am very interested in what you think about the savory flavors. They look intriguing.
Pina Colada is better over night and is really good with coconut oil. Raspberry is excellent as icecream. I'm going to have to retry the Pumpkin Spice. Try adding a little black coco to the cookies and cream? I'm really looking forward to when you play with the savory flavors in recipes.
Every flavor sat over night. I'll try the coconut oil in the piña colada next time. I'm sure adding some black cocoa to the cookies and cream would make it taste more like Oreo, but the same could be said of the vanilla flavor as well.
Steve: Thanks for reviewing these! I've been considering getting some to try but boy, they are VERY EXPENSIVE! Why are they so costly? $4/per serving if you get the large bags of one flavor and then $6 if you get single packets. I can't imagine eating the same flavor every single day....but $79???
@@SeriousKeto probably not. 3 eggs and 2 strips of bacon is at most $3. So, I'd say, for me, probably not worth it. Maybe for an occasional meal when I don't want to cook.
You mentioned you made it ahead of time and I believe with heavy cream. I would be interested in how you prepared it. I am going to give this a second try. My first try wasn’t very successful and someone asked if I let it sit overnight, I think, so am curious as to how you prepared it. Thx!
I measure out about 2/3 to 3/4 of the shaker bottle with warm water. I pour that into a blender, then dump the packet of Keto Chow in. I give it a couple of pulses to incorporate the powder, then I blend on low for 5-10 seconds. I transfer it back to the shaker cup and put it in the fridge overnight. When I'm ready to drink it, I top it off with heavy whipping cream and shake it up. I plan to experiment with using melted butter instead of cream soon.
I imagine it would be pretty tasty! I love adding a teaspoon of regular cocoa powder to my Cookies and Cream. I also mix Cookies and Cream with Chocolate Mint. So delicious!
Good morning Steve. Have you done a video about your opinion on the best way to prepare your Keto Chow? I’ve just ordered some for my first time. What do you think is best, the butter, heavy cream; coconut oil? Thanks in advance for your response
I have not, but I find some flavors go better with butters and sum better with cream. It may just be a personal preference. Tips: 1) If using butter, I put my butter in a shaker bottle and then cover it with water before microwaving it. This keeps it from splattering. 2) Also if using butter, I'll do an initial mix in my blender with the approximately one cup of water and melted butter mix from step one with a packet of Keto Chow. I then add additional water up to around a pint total. I use room temp water. 3) Regardless of how I make it (butter or cream), I still like to refrigerate it over night. This seems to make the flavors "bloom" and seems to reduce the slightly salty taste some flavors have.
I made the Quest cinnamon chaffle and it is hands down my favorite and it's so simple to make! Do you suggest that I blend the ingredients? I'm curious what the difference in texture will be.
I do blend the mozzarella and any dry ingredients in a mini food processor before mixing in the egg. I find I get a more uniform texture that is more like bread or a waffle than if I don’t do it that way.
No, but I plan to make wings tonight. I'm going to brine them for 4 hours and then grill them. If it turns out wonderfully, I'll make a video the next time.
I prefer my keto chow made with avocado oil , unless I’m making ice cream with it . Peanut butter chocolate is my favorite flavor and the savory tomato
I had been doing HWC (probably a half cup), but last night I did snickerdoodle with butter (half a stick) to use in my new Ninja Creami. It was wonderful.
Sorry if I missed this, but what fat are you using when mixing these up? I found that salted butter tends to intensify the flavors versus say like heavy cream or oil. Thanks for the great vids👍
Now that you're testing out Keto Chow's sweet flavors when you get to the savory one's you need to make a video on the Keto Chow Noodles made by the real deal @ The Keto Village. I just received everything I need to make the ramen noodles and I'm really excited cuz I've been missing spaghetti and meatballs and Top Ramen :). Thank you for all the effort you put into your videos.
I really don't want to be one of those 'people'. And not that it matters, anyway to me, as I cannot buy these products. But is sucralose an approved sweetener? (Splenda)
Correct. I'm starting to film a series on how various sweeteners perform in various circumstances (caramelization, baking, liquid suspension). In my early tests, I'm starting to think a combination of sucralose (around 1%) and allulose (99%) could be a great "all around" sweetener. The problem is adequately mixing the two at those ratios without having to use rather substantial amounts of allulose.
I blend about 3/4 of the shaker bottle of warm water with the Keto Chow (just a few pulses or low speed in my blender). Then I refrigerate over night in the shaker bottle. When I’m ready to consume, I top it off with HWC and shake it up.
I ordered a few different flavors, and after trying the cookies and cream flavor, which I found had a very artificial flavor I was disappointed and didn't want to try the other flavors I got, but now I am excited to try some different ones, maybe the cookies and cream isn't their best flavor.
I can tell you upfront Pumpkin Spice with coffee is awesome. I’ve done it like an iced latte. I’ve done the same with Saltes Caramel too.
Raspberry Cheesecake is one of our favorite Keto Chow flavors. I use coffee as the liquid for the Pumpkin Spice and the Egg Nog flavors.

I do that when making ice cream. 🙂
The reaction to the Pumpkin Spice was great, that flavor definitely gave me one hell of a first impression as well, they absolutely nailed it
Yum!
That's how I've been doing them lately.
I put all the non fruit flavors in coffee. I almost always mix 3 packets at a time and mix 3 different flavors-then use half coffee and half of the KC mix with lots of ice in a very large cup! Pina colada is my least favorite flavor of all the KC.
Sound tasty!
Being on keto now for seven years, I have really lost my taste for sweet. I am very interested in what you think about the savory flavors. They look intriguing.
Next month. 🙂
How much do you spend per meal? Less than $4?
@@SeriousKeto probably not. 3 eggs and 2 strips of bacon is at most $3. So, I'd say, for me, probably not worth it. Maybe for an occasional meal when I don't want to cook.
@@DARhineRomanceBooks I will tell you that these are FILLING. They are definitely a MEAL. But I understand and respect your point.
I plan to experiment with using melted butter instead of cream soon.
probably too late but i'd really like to know how the cookies and cream is with the black cocoa powder
Too late for this video, but could certainly be part of the next one. 😉
@@SeriousKeto I agree! I want to see the black cocoa added to the cookies and cream! 😋😋😋
Tips:
1) If using butter, I put my butter in a shaker bottle and then cover it with water before microwaving it.
I've had raspberry cheesecake and it was a very pink color. Their drink was white... Kind of odd.
Maybe they added coloring at some point after we did this review.
Salted Caramel is 🔥
Unrelated question, since football season is upon us. Do you have any killer ninja air fryer/grill buffalo wings recipes?
No, but I plan to make wings tonight. I'm going to brine them for 4 hours and then grill them. If it turns out wonderfully, I'll make a video the next time.
@@SeriousKeto I'm going to airfry them tonight using the ninja, with a lemon pepper sauce.
I prefer my keto chow made with avocado oil , unless I’m making ice cream with it . Peanut butter chocolate is my favorite flavor and the savory tomato
I’ll have to try that.
Given that Keto Chow suggests 'curing' these for a couple of days to really develop the flavors, what's your sweet spot for total hours in the fridge?
Overnight. In working on flavor development for Keto Chow, I didn’t find much of a difference at 2 days or 3 days.
@@SeriousKeto Great, thanks!!
What was your choice of fat and how much? I've been known to add more spice or cocoa.
I use heavy cream. I should do some comparisons with butter.
One of my favorite things was the eggnog shake at McDonald’s…hmmmmm ps. Why not add a little black cocoa to the cookies n cream?
Are you asking me or asking Keto Chow?
@@SeriousKeto you. That's got to make some good ice cream. Adding the cocoa might make it perfect.
Add some black cocoa to that cookies and cream!
I tried that and was a still sort of underwhelmed.
How do you mix it and what are the nutrition facts please?
Nutrition facts vary by flavor. The Keto Chow site has all that information.
Im addicted to the raspberry cheesecake.
Probably my favorite flavor
Can I get a link to part one please?
ua-cam.com/video/b2-SkHQoAO8/v-deo.html
Thanks so much, what is your favorite flavor?
Probably raspberry cheesecake, at the moment.
@@SeriousKeto thanks ill be using your link
I really don't want to be one of those 'people'. And not that it matters, anyway to me, as I cannot buy these products.
But is sucralose an approved sweetener? (Splenda)
Sucralose and Splenda are two different things. There's an article in the description I link to for folks that object to sucralose.
@@SeriousKeto thanks. I will read up. But I don't eat sweet anyway. I have a fat tooth😋🤣
Ok, so they don't bulk up with Maltodextrin. Mmm. Learn something new every day.
Shame that you are doing so many reviews now. We cannot get any of them in the UK..Not many UK products here
I do the exact same number of reviews as I’ve done for over a year. Wednesday is review day.
Steve, what do you use with a serving of Keto Chow? Water? I've tried it with HWC, without success.
I blend about 3/4 of the shaker bottle of warm water with the Keto Chow (just a few pulses or low speed in my blender). Then I refrigerate over night in the shaker bottle. When I’m ready to consume, I top it off with HWC and shake it up.
@@SeriousKeto Good to know -- thanks for the tip!
What fat do you use for the Keto Chow Steve?
I use heavy whipping cream. I know that adds a few more carbs than using butter, but it's easier.
I like to add raw egg. Don't let it stay in the fridge more than overnight.
I ordered a few different flavors, and after trying the cookies and cream flavor, which I found had a very artificial flavor I was disappointed and didn't want to try the other flavors I got, but now I am excited to try some different ones, maybe the cookies and cream isn't their best flavor.
Pina colada is better mixed with other fruit flavors
I've had some viewers tell me to use coconut oil as the fat when doing pina colada.
Did not like the natural strawberry…to strong of a protein powder taste.
If they can do egg nog, they be able to do coquito.
I had to look that up, and once I did, my stomach growled. 😄
I do not like the flavor or texture of Keto Chow. Tried at least 9 flavors..not for me.
To each their own... 🙂
I still seems really expensive to me. 5 or 6 dollars per meal with cream plus shipping. I'd rather eat a steak and salad.
I just need to say, your voice...
Sucralose put my husband in the hospital heart arythmia.
I'm sorry but this girl's hair always looks dirty sorry!
Such a petty and pointless comment.
let's be honest here.....only chocolate is good with this keto chow....the rest is a BIG MEH!
