I was always happiest for Mike Lowell. When Boston traded for Beckett, Mota and Lowell everyone thought Lowell's career was toast and instead his career took a complete 180 for the better while becoming the 2007 WS MVP.
@@Branshortell I agree the owner are very cheap, how ever not giving Xander more than 7 years is the right way to go. He’s 30 but he wanted more years that contract will haunt the padres
What a great video, what great memories! The Red Sox during the Big Papi seasons are most certainly the most glorious and special I've ever experienced as a life long New England sports fan.
Great player, man, human being! Big Papi you're so deserving. I enjoy watching you as a baseball analysis as well. It's an honor sharing the name David with you! You had a sweet swing that I do remember. Great video!
Born and raised in Minnesota. I fell in love with this Twins rookie in like 1997, followed him to Boston. He gave us his batting gloves at his last game in Minnesota and gave us a shoutout on SportsCenter. The next year, he was at the games and sent me a Snapchat (via my friend who used to be a bat boy).
Heartbreaking to see Tim Wakefield there, a year before his untimely demise at 57 on October 1, 2023.
It’s great to see how much they enjoyed playing with each other! Real friends real team!!

The Red Sox are hands down the greatest team in all of sports. Win or loose. Red Sox nation forever!
Amen
The Owners not so much but correct

I'm a long time bosox fan and 2004 was absolutely magic. It was beautiful. Thanks boys, dream come true.
The greater the pressure, the better he got - that kind of fOcus is really rare, and Ortiz had it like nobody else.

I will never feel the love for a mlb team like how I loved the 2004 redsox thanks to them I love sports

@@Peterstarzynskitech As long as The New York Yankees don’t win, I’m happy 😃.
As Yankees fan alwayz respected David Ortiz! I think Dustin Pedroia is a Hall of fame player as well!

😢
1:38 Papi was released Dec 16th... _not_ in Spring training
The same Youkilis who hated Boston and told his uncle that he always wanted to be a Yankee? What a fraud
He is my daddy
I would like to believe that the Sox will have another Ortiz in my lifetime. Being realistic, I know it will not happen
It’s a shame Manny wasn’t there but I respect it otherwise
Boston strong

What an awful decision to have that joke Johnny “fake news” Damon in this video. Surprised he wasn’t drunk as normal.
