@@EdBwoy Have you changed filter and fluid on a RE7R01A transmission? If so anything I need to do or watch for when I do it? And I'm a little unsure about adding fluid. Service manual doesn't go into filling after dropping the pan. Should I follow the same steps as if it was just a fluid change? (3 quarts at a time)
@@sdwalton33 the catch is that there's no dipstick, so the process is a little less straightforward. I saw a video on how to do it on a G37 and it would be a good one to follow. When I buy a car with a "sealed" transmission, I have the dealer perform the first service, so I know it's properly filled for sure...then I can do the drain+fill service later.
@@EdBwoy Yeah I bought the fill tube for the trans and have been through the service manual but I figured I'd pick your brain before diving in. I'm pretty sure there's a bit of debris in 3rd solenoid so I'm going to test and replace if needed. Just wanted to check for any hints and wisdom that you might have on the subject. Thanks Ed
@@sdwalton33 ah, I see now. I thought it was a simple fluid service. You could start with collecting as much fluid as possible during the removal part. Then after the work, replenish with an equal amount + 1 quart. Run it till it it overflows as instructed
Hi Ed, Your explanations are really great, as someone else mentioned, all with one hand! I have a G37 2012 and my start button most often does not recognize the keyfob and I get the message no key. Can you please tell if it is a relay that's gone bad and if so which one and where? Or is it a fuse, and in which fuse box would that one be? Thank you so much and Happy New Year! Ursula
EdBwoy, I have a M56 and my interior lights don't come on. Fuses inside are good. Issue occurred when I was swapping interior led's without disconnecting the battery. The interior lights do come on if you press the dome light button except the footwell lights. Under the door lights work as normal. Did some research and it appears my BCM is fried along with MAYBE the harness. Anywords of advice or your experience with the issue.
I believe as others have shared with the Y51 platform, something might have gone bad in the BCM circuit. It could be a wire, the BCM itself, or even a relay or fusible link. If you're fairly confident in your abilities, I'd take out the BCM and inspect it, then test the wiring after. I know the dealer can usually pinpoint these interior problems rather quickly for a nominal fee.
hello greetings from Puerto Rico I have an M37s and I have problems with the Radio The positive battery cable was disconnected and since then the buttons on the Steering Wheel do not work nor does the radio want to turn off it stays on it does not read the USBs nor does the station connect to the Bluetooth but it is not heard or anything I would like to know if you know of something or has it happened to you Thanks
Is there a fuse for all the cabin lights and the chirp sound when you lock/unlock the door with the driver/passenger button? All my lights don’t work and the chirp doesn’t sound anymore
Well, there is a relay and fuse for the horn at the battery compartment. Have you already tried to change the fob lock by holding the lock & unlock button?
EdBwoy I got it figured out! I had to change a fuse on the very bottom left by the emergency brake, the red 10 for the cabin lights and the chirping to come back. Thank you very much for the informing video!
There are some fuses but they should affect both seats. Anyway, check the fuse box in front of the battery - 40A labelled *power wdw* In the driver kick panel, there's a 10A labelled *room lamp* I didn't see anything else between the bcm & the seat, so you might need to check your wires or switch as well
Where is the relay for for hazard lights. My hazard lights keep coming on randomly and draining my battery. I'm wondering if there's a relay for it or would that be the body control module?
@@EdBwoy OK thanks, I hope I figured the issue out. I think that the leak from my sunroof hose caused water to get into the fuse box located on the passenger side. I'm waiting to see though because it is raining here in Maryland now so we shall see if it does it again..I hope not though.
@@amedamorsell47 yup! It seems you've done all the right things. I'd also set up a container of dessicant in the passenger foot well to absorb any more moisture lingering in the air

You bet Steve! Always glad to share the little I know

you do amazingly well with one hand 😁
Hehe, thanks. I worked hard to perfect the art of one-handed wrangling...then I started investing in better cameras with in-built stabilization.
Thanks man you’re a life saver

Do you know where's the wiper fuse relay for a 08 G35?
How can I fix my rear sunshade everytime I back up it makes a grinding sound or is there a fuse I can pull to make it stop working in general?
Some people pull the electrical plug. It can be accessed by lowering the trunk trim to get to the rear parcel shelf

Which relay is to switch to led lights?
Do you believe it’s a fuse for the driver side seat for the cooling & heated ? The passenger one works but the driver doesn’t lit up

you have any idea how to fix a reverse light not working on the rear passenger side reverse light?
Do you mean replacing the bulb?
yes i think its just the bulb. i been looking for videos on how to change those out and haven’t had any luck.
or how do i even access that bulb
Remove the black/grey trunk liner and you'll see the bulb and its connections.
