Getting Americanized.....looking under the hood..what? Nice car. Like the swept back shape of the EJ better, and the P R E M I E R letters on the front, but no doubt, the EH a better car all round. Absolute beauty!
This bloke treats his cars the same as Jay Leno. Doesn’t let them near water. Leno instructs his workshop to only wipe down the cars rather than wash with water.
IMO, the EH was a snappier looking car. How come everyone thinks the Hydramatic, (Howdramatic), is a 3 speed. They're a 4 speed. Go to Wikipedia. They are a bloody awful transmission, but seem strong enough.
I seem to remember there was something unusual about the EH automatic transmission? Was it a 3 speed? A 4-speed? I think I reas somewhere that there were 4 speeds, but the 2 intermediate speeds were both "seconds", one was used on the way up and the other was used on the way down. Can you clarify this?
they were actually a 4 stage automatic but worked as a 3 speed , being and EH owner since 1980 i only learnt about this fact just this year from official GM notes between GM and Holden officials where they talked about specs and styling
Nice car but for my taste too much Nasco stuff. It seems to be a thing lately to load up your old holden with the whole catalog.. I grew up with an EH as the family car, ours had zero nasco and other ehs i knew of were same. What ours had was a Ferris radio, it was fitted below dash and slid out to be a portable, had its own internal battery and speaker.
Not one picture of the engine bay... or most of the things they were talking about... who edited this? Did they decide to just think, ''Let's cut to something entirely not related to the voice over- like the grill when they're talking about the twin air intake and windscreen protector.. let's show as little of the interior as possible', and lets have someone interviewing who knows nothing about cars it seems.
what a machine, can't believe its in such good condition. You two know a lot about the old EH's
Great interview - really enjoyed it !
I owned one in 1970, aged 17. Was Pearlescent Blue, with cream leather seats. Chicks loved it.
Loved this vid, especially shots of the nasco brake booster 👍
Rego sticker says "In force until 6th DEc 1964".
So it would have been registered 12 months prior, ie Dec 1963.
fantastic, love the EH

EH and EJ are the best Models ever made by Holden. I know people will hate the EJ but I think that's a nicer looking vehicle.

Why no close up of power brake unit or chrome air intake?
And whatever windscreen protector they were talking about
I agree. Otherwise, the car looks perfect. 🙂
