I also show a brief look at Frances and her ability as a musician showing a short clip of her playing guitar and singing and give my thoughts and opinions on the talent she has in the music field.

I feel like Kurt would find it hilarious that his guitar was sold for 6 million dollars like he’d probably be thinking that he was just going to smash it to pieces anyway
If it cost a billion dollars to bring him back to life somehow, best believe that amount will be quickly raised with no problems.
He asked David Geffen to buy him Led Bellys guitar for 500,000 dollars I wonder if anyone asked David to buy them Kurts guitar
M BD lol I immediately thought about that unplugged thing where he talked about led belly's guitar.... so weird
Right. He be like no way ..dude..
Exsctly. I bet he would laugh and smile yknow .
You know what’s kinda weird. She’s now older than Kurt was. Seems like only yesterday she was just a baby.
so fuckin true
Crazy right?
She's actually the same age as Kurt was when he died
@@72sunshine21 True, but she's lived longer than him according to the amount of days.
@@goknighthawksgo You know you're right
"I needed you right now so much" even though she was saying it in a joking manner it still hit me right in the feels😢
Exactly. Reminds me of that Paramore album title “after laughter”. In this case she likely cries.
Yesss... I teared up a bit. It feels like those are the moments in her life that she doesn't want anyone to witness in real time.
I'm sorry, but I didn't like the way she was describing all these. Maybe she was doing it as a defense mechanism to show that she's gotten over it and she's cool about it, but, I don't know, I would prefer if she was talking a bit more serious about this stuff. Even if it's been many years, it's not funny what happened.
@@Dreamcatcher9000 Kurt was *her* father. She can talk about it any way she damn-well pleases, quite frankly. It's not you or anyone's business. When I hear people talk about their dead parent(s), I just nod and let them go because my opinion is 100% irrelevant.
@@vegetaismydad5382 It's a free world, and I can express my opinion. I didn't tell her what to do, I just said how I felt about it. You can disagree with that, but that's it.
I can't believe how similar she is to her Dad. What breaks my heart is, I just know that Kurt would be so proud of her.
@Zen I can't believe I made that typo, thanks for pulling me up that was embarrassing ngl
She looks more like Courtney in my opinion
@@liv0003 uhgg. Unfortunately.
@@liv0003 Same here, unfortunately.
So, you knew him personally?
She's 28 now, and Kurt died at 27, that's so weird.
I remember when she was a baby.
Damn.
Yep wierd
How's it weird ? Obviously time doesnt stop. Maybe the weird thing is how fast time seems to be flying by for us.. I know it is for me especially once you have a kid.
I was 16 and in rehab when Curt passed, within the week following Rivendell in Panama C. FL, had 9 people on the unit it jumped to 20 people. Very strange time.
It's always weird when you outlive your parents. My dad died when I was 5. He was 35. No matter what the circumstances. .. it messes with your head. My dad died of cancer, so from 30-40 I "expected" something like that to show up in my life. Now a days I don't think about it too much anymore. I'm 43. It's still a strange thought though. If what some say is true and there is a life after death where you no longer age, I'll look like a gray old man next to my dad. Life has weird shit in it sometimes.
@@FesterPussbucket interesting
It's strange how perfectly she can look like either of her parents, it's not a resemblance, it's an image.
Nah it’s a resemblance
She had plastic surgery lmao
anne frank who cares
Wow 😳 it is amazing she looks like both of them Damm pretty girl just sucks he left so early
I mean they're her parents??
I've always wondered what's worse, to lose a parent that you knew your whole life, or to lose a parent that you never knew.
Lose a parent you knew your whole life is worse cause all the wonderful memories y’all had but lose a parent that u never knew it’s sad still but tbh it’s whatever cause there would still be people to take care of u and raise u still
@@dominickraheem8459 But to never even have the chance to have those memories is for me even worse. My father too died of suicide when I was a baby and hearing other people talk about when they were young and did this and that with their dad just leaves a gaping hole in me. At least you will have memories, whereas people like me are just left with the imagination of how it could have been to have a father..
One you knew most of the time but im sure certain parts of your life losing b4 ur born would be just as hard like getting married or graduating
@@MsChrissal07 I'm sorry for your loss. You must feel somehow "connected" with Frances because of that.
My parents got divorced when I was 2 years old, so I don't have memories of a father being home when I was growing up either. I mean I was seeing him every weekend or whatever, going to the movies, parks, and all that, but still, he was like a weekend visitor. But I thought it was natural to grow up with just my mom, I remember my schoolmates were feeling sorry of me and thought it was weird that my parents were divorced, but I was like "no big deal, it feels weird to me that you HAVE a father in your house". :p I can't say that it devastated my life that I grew up with divorced parents, but yeah, on the other hand, it's still a gaping hole as you say.
But it could have been much worse, because when I was 5 or 6 or something, my father had a ski accident that could have killed him, so yeah, me too would have no memories of him. Which, yeah, I admit, it's worse than losing a father that you knew your whole life. My father died when I was 39 and it was still a shock, but I was grown up enough to handle it. But a kid losing a parent, and especially their mom at age 5 or whatever, oh my God, that's hard beyond words.
Well you also have the extra-bizarre, added dimension in her case, that she lost a parent she never really knew, but which a (relatively) large portion of the world FELT like they knew personally, so it's a parent she never knew but whom she js reminded of everywhere she goes, seeing his image on t-shirts, hearing his voice emanating from her radio, etc...that's got to 'twist the knife' a bit more and make things extra confusing. Also, total side note, but I can imagine dating for this young lady must have been a nightmare...how many dates would go by before they start gushing and reveal they're just totally obsessed with her deceased father, and trying to get close to her bc of that??
My father committed suicide when I was just three. As a result, I barely remember him and I've had to walk through life's hurdles without him. I wish I didn't have this life.
i don't know who you are and i do not know your experiences, but i know what it feels like to want to die. i get you.
@@procrastinatingpotato6749 Thank you. I'm not saying I want to die necessarily, I just wish that I could hit the reset button and have a whole new life with my father by my side.

When she has no makeup on she is a dead ringer for Kurt. Beautiful girl inside and out, she seems so grounded.
Looks exactly like Courtney before all her surgeries
Kurt was brilliant, his music was so original. I can see that Frances has his spark when she sings too.
She's physically Beautiful girl I remember the grunge scene my sister really overplayed the unolugged live in New York concert on video
Lol, spark? How exactly? I see zero original talent in regards to her music. Im not saying that makes her less than, im just saying creating great music like widespread well known music isnt something past on through genetics, either ir good and the masses buy ur shit or they dont and no1 hears about u, fact is if anyone buys her music it wil be because she has kurts last name sad 2 say, she wont b selling our shows or making platinum records anytime soon. But yeah best of luck to her in life 4 sure
What does she do exactly though except for living off her parents' fortune? She certainly doesn't have much of a career, does she do anything else or....? No shade tho but I mean she's an adult
@@91clarie yea i agree, kid of 2 famous members of bands automatically doesn't make her a highly talented musician it isnt some trait thats passed on through genetics if she really wanted 2 see it she had potential just hand in her demos under a different name and different backstory. Like authors do, Stephen king does it allbthe time. Its funny cuz these people wouldn't give her a second listen if she was just some person on the street playing this they would just walk by
@@TheRealBatCave yeah and it baffles me how some people apparently just walz through life doing nothing except for living off their parents' money. Yes, very sad ,she needed her dad through the years
I was there when Kurt dropped his first song on radio "smells like teen spirit". Frances just to let you know your dad was a great inspiration to me as a teenager. I'm 42 now and still rock out to your dad's music. The day I heard he died it also killed my soul.
Hate to correct you man, but smells like teen Spirit was nowhere near their first song written or played on radio. That was on their second album. Bleach was their first album, and they had been already playing the live venues for almost 10 years when nevermind came out. I was already listening to them long before smells like teen Spirit was ever written.
@@cousinfeetus9589 Playing for 10 years before nevermind came out ? I get that the original comment made a mistake but what you said is even more of a gross exaggeration. Nirvana formed in 1987 with Kurt and Novoselic. They released bleach in 1989 who very few people listened to. I mean that album was obscure even in the underground scene. Nevermind is their first and most known album and it came out in 1991. "Smells like teen spirit" was their first single and it still is to this day, their most popular song. I'm pretty sure bleach didn't receive any radio play. Almost the entire music industry kind of forgot that bleach was their debut album as Nevermind turned out to be more of a seminal work. Also, bleach didn't feature Dave Grohl and it wasn't Nirvana as everyone knows it. 10 years prior to nevermind's release, Kurt was 14 years old. He met Krist when he was 17 and Krist was about 18 to 19. You may have at max been listening to Nirvana a year or two before smells like teen spirit came out.
She said in a rolling stone interview she doesn’t even like Nirvanas music (except that the song dumb was ok ) .......but then she said a few months later she regretted saying that
The reason for the middle name is the most adorable thing ever
She has said she doesn't even like Nirvana, that could just be her way of distancing herself from his shadow. Interesting.

@Thijmen Absolutely
@@buffluffstuff For sure, he was kind of my role model not having a dad around so, yeah makes sense.
Kurt's suicide letter reads like a depression textbook. I'm not saying depression makes us selfish, but it definitely makes people self-centered. His entire note is so full of "me", "my", "I" that it sounds like he couldn't get out of himself, he couldn't escape his own thoughts. I think that's what makes depression such a deadly disease. The reality of one's passion turning into a job, haunted by the absence of one's past youthful exuberance, the impossibility of just having fun with one's accomplishments... So much to be happy about and proud of without any of the satisfaction that should come from making dreams come true... This is all classic depression. Familiar depression. So MANY people suffer from this disease while feeling so utterly worthless. And then there's the disease of addiction. Fucking classic. It doesn't matter how smart you are, how rich you become, how amazing your achievements, how many things you have to be grateful for, or how many people are "right here" for you, addiction is there to steal it all away before it's even gone. It's not hard to feel sorry for Kurt. His death meant more awareness for mental health issues, and that's invaluable, but it would be awesome if we coulda gotten here with Kurt rather than without him.
She looks just like both parents and has such a beautiful personality. Her voice is angelic! Her dad would be so proud.❤️

He did die a controversial death which is important to the video narrative
Fking tasteless

@Matilda Brooks right? Me too.stopped the video early
I used to think that Frances would sound very cold when talking about her dad. Especially the way that she doesn't address him or refer to him as her father. She just calls him Kurt. But I don't know. I guess that's how she thinks of him. As just an image since she can't remember time with him.
I believe that's how most people see their parent/s that they've lost before they could even remember. Sure, they are your parent/s but did you grow up and get to know them personally? No. They're like strangers but you're related to them. It would've been different if she had been older and lost him then. As she said she looks at him like we do, which is incredibly sad. She can only hear people talk about her dad and talk about memories but never actually get to know him. Her only resource is family and friends. I never really knew my dad so I can kinda relate to her; there's nobody to look up to, nobody to call dad.
its weird
she didn’t know him…
I would still call him my dad when I was talking about him and not call him kirk

Your dad changed my life,he opened up the music world for me in ways I’ve never been able to recreate,I’ve been lost ever since ,music for me has never been the same.
It hurts my heart knowing kurt couldnt get to know his little bean and watch her grow up and accomplish all these things in her life. I think we all know that he wouldve been so proud of his little girl. But no matter what he is with her always. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thatd be weird to have him as your dad. My dad died when I was young so I never got to know him, and I’ve always been mad about that. I’m sure she feels the same way.
Especially as all she has is material. No memory.
Well her dad was a hardcore heroin junkie, spending half his time nodding off in seedy motel rooms, so its probably for the best that she didnt get to know him. No kid is equipped to handle that growing up
@@stevencoardvenice Wasn’t Kurt trying to get sober tho? I’m pretty sure he was so if he stayed alive I’m sure he would’ve been sober while raising her but obviously we will never fully know.
@@alexisa.2795
His body was chock full of heroin when he shot himself
My dad died when I was 4 I have some small memories but not much
I wish Kurt could see how beautiful and smart his daughter is.
He sees. . .💯
It is terrible that she can't even remember her dad. As depressed as I get sometimes I don't think I could do that to my children
Me too, buddy. I feel you
kurts life was so tragic and it makes me feel so incredibly sad.
She talks like her dad...he didn’t want her to grow up to be like him but I don’t think he knew it’s a good thing that they’re so alike
Comparing her music to his is like comparing cats to frogs. Both great but not the same AT ALL.
Novice vs Master
What's great about frogs?
Lots of things im sure but that's a whole different debate.
@@erikmiles3713 I'd also like to know what's so great about frogs
Hehh?????????
When I read this comments I wish I was born 30 years earlier. Wow, it’s already hard for me now to accept that Kurt is dead, but damn, how hard Must it be for people that knew him in this time like 1992.
I literally can’t imagine how hard it must be for you guys
Our high school got councillors brought in to offer us therapy at that time nirvana exploded, it was great times it was shockingly upsetting I remember it well....
Senior in high school when I heard he died… I was in shock for weeks.
Devastating. I was in high school when he died, a friend always listened to the radio in school, we heard the news as soon as it broke. Felt numb, like my heart shattered into pieces... Their music had helped me for several years, I loved him so. But he will always live on in Frances, in his music, and for so many - etched into our memory. He was a beautiful man, this world snuffed out his flame too soon.
Kurt and Courtney’s genes came together perfectly in her looks.
Why do I keep thinking Francis Cobain and Paris Jackson look so alike!?
It's the striking eyes as well as similar situations of having lost their dad
You just spoke my mind!!!
Paris is not good looking at all.
@@debraday9898 leave
They look nothing alike.
I think the world asking her about her dead dad every 5 minutes and what life is like without him, is probaly 100 times as traumatizing as actually losing him as an infant.
Damn that sounds traumatizing to constantly be reminded of the legend that was your dad knowing you never got to make memories with him.
He is with you whenever you need him. And around you in the breeze watching over you, protecting you as much as he can from heaven. It is my belief that his spirit remains constantly by your side he loved you so much he never left you intentionally I am certain of this Frances Bean bless you so much ❤
I 100% agree.
Frances is very lucky to have so much footage and music from her father. If my father were to pass there'd be no proof he even existed. Not only does she have recordings but she carries part of her father in her, in her voice, her smile, her eyes.
That not true your kids are the proof you existed
My Dad died when I was 11 and I'm mid 40s now.
Can't remember his voice.
Woukd give anything to have footage or a voice recording of him.
Envious of Francis Bean in that way.
I hear that! My dad passed when I was 4 from suicide, my mum then started to drink to cope. Cut a long story short shes an alcoholic now 30yrs later with nothing but twisted and fragmented memories of him that she has passed onto me and my sister. We ended up in care and all traces of him ever even being here has gone. He's mum and dad didn't even let my mum have his ashes so we can't even go to a grave or a place to remember him. I have one picture of my dad one! I don't know what he was like atall. I feel sometimes it's as if he never existed and its so painful to swallow. I know no one's to blame life's a bitch and we all suffer one way or another. But if I could say anythink to anyone is appreciate your family while you have one.
She may not remember him but the first year of a person's life is extremely formative. So, though she was too little to remember interactions with him, the affection and care he showed to her during her first two years of life is hugely formative and I am sure was not for nothing.
He’s still able to watch her grow up and he gives her little reminders that he’s still there and still loves her he reminds her when she doesn’t think she needs him when she really does sometimes but he is just to far away to help raise her now it so beautiful that she can admit that she needs him on earth sometimes. Because she’ll be reunited and make up for lost time soon enough but sometimes we feel a little impatient to see our loved ones again but you can’t let that get you psyched out of living life the best you can
These photos make me cry😭😭😭. I’m not religious, but if there’s a heaven he’s definitely up there. He was a beautiful soul. He may not be physically here, but he’s here in our hearts, don’t forget that Francis.
AMAZING.
"I need you so much right now" so sad I just want to give her a hug
i honestly feel for her so much like it actually brings me to tears i feel so bad for her but i love how strong she is :,)
today exactly 28 years since Kurt is not with us💔 but he always remains with us, in our hearts, because legends do not die. music never dies while listening to it
It's so beautiful and touching to see pictures and videos of Kurt and his daughter and how much he loved and adored her, and I believe his spirit is always with her❤️✌🏻
Coo coo 🐦
More proof that he did not take his own life
She calls him “Kurt”. That right there says all that needs to be said. So incredibly sad. Ugh....At best, she sees her father like a fan sees their superstar idols, “secondhand”, as she put it. That broke my heart in two. Because that’s as good as its going to get for her. I have 2 daughters who I love more than any of you could possibly imagine or even try to fathom, and just the idea of me leaving them in this cold world so young and permanently removing their father from their lives. No father to hold their hands and guide them along the way with God’s infinite wisdom, love, selflessness, understanding, and forgiveness. It is almost too much for me to bear. Just the thought of it gives me a sense of panic and it fills me with fear, sadness, and pain unlike anything you’ve ever felt before. So naturally, I just try to focus on what I have been blessed with in my life, because “God gives and takes away”. No one is exempt from that unfortunately. So it’s important for me to be grateful and not take for granted all of the wonderful things that God has blessed me with in my life already and it’s no even over yet. Thinking and living with that mindset has really helped me out so far. And honestly, I genuinely hope that you find the same peace, as well as the lovely “Francis Bean Cobain”. I hope that she does too.
He is not her father. They share genes. A father sticks around. Kurt and Kourtney created her. The feelings she feels are all biological they aren’t hers. They are feelings passed on from family. She needs to grow and understand that her parents were not ready. She did not suffer at the loss of her parents as they simply handed her off. She is feeling the emotions and memories that were passed on. She can choose to drown in losing her parents that she never knew or accept that she had people who care and love. The natural feelings must be fought and addressed correctly. I can see she is not doing that. She is lost.
Frances gave that guitar too him when they went into her storage unit because her than husband found out about Frances using drugs (thanks to her mother & the SAM LUFTI) She wanted to pay him back in love" & told him when he picked up that guitar in the storage unit "do you want it" he goes omg seriously?! Theirs been text messages of him showing his friends. She never asked for it back. She left him a goodbye letter, to divorce him. He wasn't a bad guy at all. She hid her drug using & even had a grand seizure in their bed with his 7 y/o daughter there. Very sad. But she is in a great place now
Dear God she is the perfect mix of both her parents but I’ll say one thing she definitely seems like a well rounded woman . Good for her she seems to take more after her dad👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼✌🏻
I can’t believe she is nearly 30, I remember being in college when Courtney was pregnant with her.
Time really flies.
She looks so much like him but she definitely talks like her mom
I was thinking the same thing. Her mouth movements and facial expressions look like Courtney's when she's talking.
kurt's mother talks like that too, very intensely, manic and loud, I think that is why he liked crazy courtney.
Yeah I was thinking that and how bad I felt that she had to learn to talk from Courtney 😂
MAN she is SO MUCH like him. looks, sound, the way she talks. AND BOY IS SHE A TALENT. please keep it up, Francis!
She looks like him, but doesn't have the talent at all. What are you talking about? She's a dull rich kid.
Frances is scarily a perfect mix of Kurt and CL ,absolutely no mistaking who her parents are even to the way she uses hand gestures when she talks.Seems like she's got her head screwed on & can take care of herself compared to many deceased rock icons kids.
Man, she seems to have inherited his twisted self-deprecating sense of humor.
If you watch how Frances sits and moves, she has a lot of her dad’s mannerisms
Wow Frances is such an incredibly brave, beautiful woman. She went through so much. Love her.
I love this!! I also referred to my daughter Marley as the bean in her ultrasound photos too.
Her dad Kurt must be so proud of his girl Frances, watching from heaven above 🙏❤
But is not gonna be pleased when he finds out about his guitar.
or from hell below.
@Diana Moore It's a popular Mexican Joke, not to be offended at all. I can't blame you, we don't share the same cultural references. Have a nice day.
@Diana Moore I'm afraid the world is bigger than only your opinion or beliefs, I started laughing since the first time i heard it and stills cracks me up, again Diana I think is a cultural reference that you we just don't share, in México we live in a world full of death and catholisism, we used to joke about death and heaven or hell, since our ancestors we are so surrounded by death, that we use to joke and celebrate death, nevermind, I would say "thanks for sharing your opinion", but honestly your answer is full of intolerance and egocentrism so using the same expression of yours just "stfu", is that or was that any funny for you?
Its weird how she looks more like Kurt when shes singing than when shes not
Keep up the great work brother 🤘👏
This is heartbreaking to watch her talk about her dad and the constant reminders of him.
Frances seem so sweet. the fact shes so full of joy and life, even after everything shes gone through, is so inspiring ❤️ he’s watching over you, girl🖤
Yes and being rich helps too lol
