@@jimscofield6857 My name is Stan Shapiro. My career as a song writer began with a contract with the Beach Boys writing songs 55 years ago. Brian never ceases to amaze me... he's one of the few artists whose entire body of work tells the real story of the events in his life. His work with Nate is so expressive in his struggle to carry on. Dennis was the first to say "Brian IS the Beach Boys... we are his messengers" ... just being involved is a blessing unto itself. Lots of people think Brian is in a class by himself... and I say whatever 'class' Brian is in, it sure doesn't take long to call roll. He may be the greatest musical genius of our generation.
Love this...happy dancing around the kitchen kinda music ..The tone of Nates voice is incredible and Matt Jardine is so underated..love him!!! sigh !!!!
I love how humble he is knowing that he’s in the company of a true legend and genius. It must be nerve racking singing for a man who is so critical and laser focused with the instruments and sound
Nate has a authentic voice. He is not the most technically sound, but his sound is so approachable which makes it fit Brian's sings. That said, he nailed the notes on this song. Who knows if it was auto tune or not, but this is pretty much perfect performance
Omg, I first heard this last Saturday night , they were having a special of th Beach Boys on tv, they played this... I love this song, Nate is perfect for it..so I subscribed to Nate's channel on here..He is so so awesome
Hard to beat a great Brian Wilson melody--and singers like BW, Nate and Matt Jardine on vocals. Been promoting, producing live events, and recording artists since 1963--Nate is one of the best of the new crop of singers. Love his guest vocals and his work with Fun. Maybe after working with my friend and hero, BW, he should change the band's name to 'fun, fun, fun.'!:) This is a hit song!
Brian's voice may have faded. For Brian it was ALWAYS about the quality of his music. He was NEVER about $$$$$$$$. For him to step aside and allow others the honor to sing his songs, I could only imagine must've been a difficult decision. This shows that the man was ,is and always will be one of the few musical genius who continues to give joy to all of us. R.I.P. Dennis and Carl .NO WILSONS = NO BEACH BOYS.Give it up Mike
Brian's music just gets better and better just wish some radio stations would play his music .show some of the younger generation a thing or two Nates voice perfect for this song so upbeat song
Omg…my friends and I used to cruise Hollywood and sunset Blvd in the 70s…never knew who you’d run into. Also cruising Hermosa, Manhattan, Redondo beaches, along with the airport and Hawthorne…great memories.
Nate Ruess has pure talent. This may sound odd but his voice reminds me of Tracey Chapman. That in my opinion is huge compliment... she is one of the best.

Does anyone know who is up there with Matt Jardine hitting those high harmonies ? I can't recognize who it is, but OMG, can he sing !! ---- GREAT song, one of my favorites from this incredible album. Wolfsky9
Brian Eichenberger from the 4 Freshmen. He spent 18 years in the 4 Freshmen and worked with Brian for about 6 months. Then he went over to Mike's band to be the bass player.
I admit I was disappointed. Nate's one of my favorite vocalists and I grew up loving the Beach Boys as a little kid..maybe my expectations were too high but this seemed kinda sad and draggy. Good for Nate for collaborating and giving it a chance.
Can the Fun guy be the first name here?.. Cause it's not about Brian Wilson and I wasted 1:57 minutes on someone I despise under the impression I'd see one of my idols doing more than play piano.
+kingofallwhites I'm a longtime Brian Wilson and Beach Boys fan. I love No Pier Pressure and this song. Nate's voice is a perfect fit for this song. I would rather have heard Carl Wilson sing it....but that isn't possible. Nate is a much better choice than....say...Mike love.
Nate Ruess!!!! Wow, Brian found the perfect singer to do this wonderful song. Such talent here, such talent!!!
Why wasn't this song a bigger hit?
Nate smashes this. He’s so naturally talented. No wonder Brian chose him
Nate's voice makes me so happy.
He makes me so happy.
Here we go again, Brian Wilson, wev'e run out of superlatives of what a genius he is. One of the best tracks on this album.
Nigel Street Amen brother!! 1- of a kind.....
NEVER, EVER, ANOTHER BRIAN WILSON.........

Brian Wilson has lost nothing of his great talent! It sounds all new and fresh. NateRuess sounds awesome!
Love this song! Nate knocks it out of the ballpark!!!

Love the song! Thank you Brian Wilson and Nate Ruess, many blessings to you two!
SUPERB - the whole album. And Nate's an excellent choice for this song.
I could listen to this song over and over! Nate and Brian Wilson, it just doesn't get better!
I’ll never get to meet anyone like Nate Ruess again - once in a lifetime I should count myself exceptionally lucky. Please once more!!
Thank You Brian for all of the Great Great Music that you Make.

Now this is real music😍

Perfect! Love the song. I grew up on Hollywood Blvd. in the 60’s so this brings back such “groovy” memories. Love, love Nate and Brian!
I went to school with his uncle! He reminds me so much of him. Great job with the song!
This song gives me goose bumps every time I love this song 😀
I'd love this on bloo ray. The fact that Brian wrote theses songs in his 70's is amazing....!
I love this song !!

Matt Jardine?
@@DIESEL0759 Al's son. He sings falsetto in Brian's band.
Such a great performance! Hope "Hold On Dear Brother" is uploaded also!
Nate is great he could have been a Beach Boy group singer at any time flawless singer great harmony great to listen to anytime
Nate has a great powerful voice. No wonder Brian wanted to record with him. 👍

It's called "getting a rub". Brian uses contemporary artists and their followers buy Brian's CDs. Santana did it, and it was great for his career.
My favorite song ^^ i love his voice
great stuff here!
Brian's music just gets better and better just wish some radio stations would play his music .show some of the younger generation a thing or two
Nates voice perfect for this song so upbeat song
WOW what a performance LUV it x

The man is a genius
FROM FRANCE ...WE ALL LOVE YOU....
Juts LOVE - Nae, Brian and his band.
Amazing song ! And the drummer kind of looks like Brian Wilson from the 60s
OMG He is really handsome in this video. But He is handsome in usual tho😊
Naiara Pereira olha só essa música. Nosso Nate ta tão lindo. E esses olhos perfeitos!!!
Nate Ruess has pure talent. This may sound odd but his voice reminds me of Tracey Chapman. That in my opinion is huge compliment... she is one of the best.
Make more Brian Wilson video
absoutely outstanding
I used to go over my friends house, his mother had Beach Boy records. That was about 1965 serious.....B Boys been around a long time.
sounds just like the recording! he doesn’t need auto tune at all
80's vibes
Nice............
I really didn't expect to see Scott Bennett at the back as part of the Brian Wilson Band - I guess he didn't go on trial until after this?
This is about a week after he did what he did.
👏👏👏
Amazing
Spending my life looking over my shoulder
Try to imagine how life could have been
You've got me thinking 'bout all of the people
Who helped m come out from within
Answer the call you can try if you want to
Go for it all and we'll find a new way
Back in the corner of our favorite table
There's no place I would rather stay
[Chorus]
Saturday night on Hollywood Boulevard
Hanging around with nothing to do
Saturday night I'm just where I wanna be
Spending my time (spending my time) here with you
On a Saturday night
Turning around take a look in the mirror
All I can see is your face in the crowd
You've got me seeing a little bit clearer
Now we're playing our music too loud
[Chorus]
Hey baby maybe we should pretend
Instead of leaving we should stay til' the end
Tonight
Saturday night I'm just where I wanna be
Hanging around with nothing to do
Spending my time on Hollywood Boulevard
Saturday night
[Chorus]
On a Saturday night, on a Saturday night
On a Saturday night here with you
I didn`t see Brian Wilson?

Greatest
Is that Scott Bennett playing that lead guitar solo? Or who is it?
Yes. That's Scott Bennett
The music that used to rule...
Anyone else has spotted Woddy Allen playing the bass at the begginning of the song??
yeah baby!
nate's not very good on this song----------just fantastic !!!
WTF where is Brian Wilson? Where's Heroes and Villains and God Only Knows?
He looks like he is half-way thru a werewolf transformation :/
+No One That's funny--mean but funny.
Lol that made me crack the hell up.
Rage Quitter lol
Rage Quitter Perhaps, but you have to admit, he has a great voice!
Saturday night on Hollywood bolitha
!
This is my favorite elevator song.
This is SOOOO much better than Sabu
I admit I was disappointed. Nate's one of my favorite vocalists and I grew up loving the Beach Boys as a little kid..maybe my expectations were too high but this seemed kinda sad and draggy. Good for Nate for collaborating and giving it a chance.

Lola Guineapigs Leave him be, haters gonna hate
Poor soul :(
That mustache is hideous....
This is the worst song I’ve ever heard
This is God awful. Whoever had the bright idea to let him on a Brian Wilson album should be filleted and served to Hannibal Lecter.
+christopher woycke No way his voice is awful.
his voice sounds great and remember the fact that Nate never had proper singing lessons
Who's that old hog at the piano ? He's useless. Hope he won't have a heart attack there....
balaurul100 That is Brian Wilson, the composer of this song and leader of the Beach Boys.
dont you know? sarcasm doesnt translate into the digital world. im surprised Brian Wilson fans havent stormed your post already
