I am incredibly honored to help out with the script for this! Man, this is incredible work! Hearing Gordon say that final line to Scotsman gave me chills, and the whole story blew me away! Ash, it was amazing working with you on this, and I would love to collaborate on future stuff with you, too! The voice cast did a wonderful job, and I couldn't be prouder to be part of this project!
9:14 This shot really takes advantage of them being vehicles, their faces being on the side not seen, difficult to achieve with a person unless they are more behind.
I searched it up, and it turns out Scottsman is seen as a more famous and prestigious engine, while boasting about his achievements on the mainland, so that’s probably why he doesn’t like him.
Holy shit. That was cinema. Admittedly it does break from both canon and history, but in exchange we get some really good character drama from Gordon and Scotsman. I find a villainous Scotsman to be really interesting, it offers a new dynamic to the two brothers. It's great you included the lore around Henry being build from stolen Greasley plans, since with this take on Thistle and Scotsman they are quite proud of their heritage. I also like how Thistle while villainous like Scotsman is more controlled compared to him, where's Scotsman is more active and willing to get his buffers dirty to accomplish his goals. That revelation at the end where both Scotsman reveals both he and Gordon use parts from their dead siblings is such a dark but great twist, and how Gordon has to come to terms with the fact and Scotsman both have a very dark commonality. And that post credits scene which mirrors the RWS is honestly the cherry on top. Though my one criticism has to be in the use of the term brother, since they flip flop from brothers to siblings. Did Gordon not have non-male siblings? It's a small but slightly confusing thing, but one that should be cleared up as we've honestly moved on from Awdry's outdated belief's on gender. Otherwise, this was a fantastic video. Also is Scotsman's old name of Michael a reference to an old Trackmaster custom of the same name?
Amazing stuff man. This story was very deep having Scottsman arriving on sodor as one of the loaned engine and him and family drama was the icing on the cake.
This. This is so well done. I love the theme of deep drama between brothers, and using Gordon and Flying Scotsman might just be a perfect way to make a story all about family drama. I especially love the use of 2009-styled trainz models. Gives a nice nostalgic vibe. If you plan to make more amazing stories like this in the future, I'd love to watch 'em. Kudos to you for making this masterpiece. 👏
Really enjoyed it, the cinematography and editing was everything and the VA work was also pretty stellar!! looking forward to seeing more from you, ash!! 🖤
Round of applause to the entire cast! You all did phenomenal! Especially you Tas, I never realized how professional you could get. Same with you Ashley! You did a spectacular job with such an odd, interesting, and very good take of an alternate 98462 and 87546! Spectacular work!
absolutely love this short film At 4:52 was there a small error when spawning Flying Scotsman because his water tender and his Coal tender are the wrong way round
This a an amazing story. Probably one of if not my favourite fan story about Gordon. A problem I have with these two’s relationship is that in CGI Gordon never one ups Scotsman. This how to write a brotherly rivalry.
To Gordon, the only family he has is on Sodor, with those he made friends with,Thomas,Edward,Henry,James,Percy, all of them are his real family,as far as Gordon is concerned,Scotsman is dead to him.

Flying Scotsman being a villain/antagonist in a TTTE fan story is something that I *NEVER* could've expected.

A show of how you don’t need great visuals to make a fantastic story
i love this, it explains why gordon actually envy's flying scot, they never really said why, but this fits in pretty good.
I searched it up, and it turns out Scottsman is seen as a more famous and prestigious engine, while boasting about his achievements on the mainland, so that’s probably why he doesn’t like him.
@MuffinWaffles-OSC yea but combined with what happens here, I think it builds onto that and gives scot some more character building
@@denisdoobeOnly in the Mattel canon. RWS is different.
@ChimpManZ1264 yup.
I love this lol. The old models feel so nostalgic

Skarloey taking rail tours on his gauge wagon love it❤
I felt weird Gordon being a youngest prototype engine and Scotsman being built in 1920, but is your au also great film :D
absolutely love this short film
At 4:52 was there a small error when spawning Flying Scotsman because his water tender and his Coal tender are the wrong way round
This was an AWESOME film!
“It’s Scotsman, Flying Scotsman” 🥶 🥶🥶
This is very well made!! I love it! Love seeing more GNR A1s on Sodor besides Gordon
This a an amazing story. Probably one of if not my favourite fan story about Gordon. A problem I have with these two’s relationship is that in CGI Gordon never one ups Scotsman. This how to write a brotherly rivalry.
Oh,my god, this is just the perfect for an AU!
Generally loved this, the fact it gives Gordon a actual good reason to depise is so good.
Brilliant story.

I was skeptical at first but I rock with this 🗣💯
These were the loaned engines in your headcanon I presume? 2:28
Why they not thier eyes looking moving?
8:38 "youre pulling my wheel..." Loll
8:32 - 8:36 god dang is that dark

No, that's how Gordon got those repairs from
Ok, this just broke me and I never gonna like Scotsman ever again

They just made new parts for him
Dang this is art
To Gordon, the only family he has is on Sodor, with those he made friends with,Thomas,Edward,Henry,James,Percy, all of them are his real family,as far as Gordon is concerned,Scotsman is dead to him.
This feels like we’re in 2009

This is cannon In my prospective, you did so well. (Bonus you get a little sigma!!!)
I like this a different Scotsman nice
this may be a stretch, but was scotsman being named michael a reference to dcolemanh's michael the double tender engine?

Are Great Thistle and Scotsman supposed to be a representation of 98462 and 87546
The Real 98462 (Michael Scotsman) and 87546 (Great Thistle)
Thistle doesn't like Henry for some reason, why?
And Scotsman is trying to hurt or kill Henry!?
I legit thought this was 2009
Openminded part 59
