My mind was blown when he was talking about the croc skinks. It's pretty amazing that the parents take care of the offspring but the fact the older offspring help care for the siblings literally made my jaw fit the floor.
And they say animals don’t have hearts 😔💔
Hit*
One big happy family
@@user-en7rr2jt1n who has ever said that

Man: “If they bite you, you’ll bleed for hours. Do you want to hold him?”
Emily: “YES”
@LaumiRez Haha same 😁
That's why i love Emily
Lol
Same😝😃
She has no fear I swear
That rare lizard is truly the most dragon like creature I've ever seen in my life. Those large scales were insanely cool
To me, it looked like a quadrupedal Godzilla.
Owner: These are red-eyed crocodile skinks
Everyone else: DRAGON BABIES
*skinks. important distinction there XD
@@Crypt1cmyst1c omg I did a typo that was my bad!!! I'll edit it thx
I literally just said that when I saw it. They look like baby dragons
If I got one I would name it toothless

I've loved this series of videos. All I can say about this gentleman is....WOW!!! I wish I could spend a week with him listening to him educate me on all the animals. He's amazing. I would love to see him in future videos with education!!!
Ryan is amazing! he heads up the wisconsin herp group MAHS and does a lot of educational events. I call or text him with any questions I have and he offers any help I need.
He is a lot of fun to listen to he is really on the all and he knows his crap too he is really good st his job and he really is so cool to watch he knows so much
As mentioned he leads madison area herpetological society (MAHS), if you're nearby it's free to join, you can also follow on facebook they stream the meetings :)
I share this sentiment 100%
He looks so much like my ex it was a little weird to watch but he is very intelligent and knows what he's doing
I loved that guy he is truly passionate for what he does. I think Im buying from Zilla now
I’ve never had any issue with the zilla products I’ve owned
I agree! He seems like such a genuine, lovely guy!
Clau93 their products are 100% AMAZING I use many of them I recommend them
Super good company imo!
I already liked Zilla products, after watching this im even more keen to buying from them!

OMG
Hello fellow lesbian!
This channel changed my opinion on snakes so much I wish it will for many more
Same I love snakes now
Same, though my husband and I think we can only manage a fish tank if I really want one. The problems that come with being chronically sick include not being able to take on a pet because you're too sick to look after it much of the time. Thankfully UA-cam means I can see many other people and their pets at least!
No they’re still hideous in my eyes
@@MsCherade9 That's definitely the responsible decision! I would LOVE to have a house full of animals, but it wouldn't be fair because I just wouldn't have the time to care from them all properly. I hope you're doing well, chronic illness & pain is definitely hard to deal with 💜 Stay strong!
@@imayhaveasmalldickbut2470 I'm sure they feel the same way about you ☺
“You look bleedy, I can make that happen!” My new catchphrase!!! Love it!
Callie Lovett sorry but what you said made no sense

"It's like Jurassic Park" 😂😂😂 Ryan is awesome, this was such an awesome video!
Loved this! Ryan is super entertaining.
"You look like a fruit rollup!"
Amazing
It’s great to see they aren’t just a corporation popping out tanks to make money & actually do research to make sure it works great for the animals. Love this! Great vid 👍 thank you!
I love that he said "pollywog"! It's one of my favourite words
Makes me think of Stranger Things lol
Omg YES it's such a fun word!
Great video! So nice to see Ryan and behind the scenes of Zilla!
Ryan and Zilla are passionate supporters of conservation, and we couldn't do what we do without their steadfast support! We use only Zilla products at the Amphibian Foundation, and they are the best!
H
This was a much cooler tour than I expected. One kudo I will give to Zilla is their front opening terrariums. I like the single door they offer on most of the small/medium sizes better than the double doors available on the other brand.
So cool that any company still makes products here in the USA instead of offshore.
I love that this brand uses their own products. Just shows how much trust they have in their brand! Ryan was so informative and I definitely learned a lot from him!!
That rare lizard reminds me of a pickle with legs.
It must be the bumps.
The Borneo Earless Monitor is SO COOL!
Also god those bloopers had me rolling LOL
I love your channel!
This makes me feel so much better about using zilla products for my gecko ❤
"if you find me unresponsive and not sweaty, then that's ambulance time"
see, it's seeing people like this that makes me trust their brand, like. if a dude talks about being sweaty when he sleeps and makes "flopping it" jokes (about the same animal that he describes as looking like a fruit roll up) and uses words like "bleedy"? yeah, he's probably a pretty cool and genuine dude, i trust that
My first snake (a female ball python het pied😍) is arriving tomorrow because I started watching this channel awhile back and it sparked an interest. Hours of research later, I have a new passion for pythons and potentially a new future hobby/business in python breeding. Wish me luck!🤞
Honestly the market for ball python is extremely saturated. Perhaps breeding more of them is unnecessary since theres not enough homes. And this goes for the whole world, same with cornsnakes.
@@Beaah If I could buy another corn, I would. However, mine's still a baby and I don't have another space for a habitat.
How did it all go? :D
@@Isissa125 I opted out of breeding my python and I've just been accumulating more snakes instead lol. My newest is a beautiful female red tail boa that has been an absolute blast to watch grow and change over the last few months :)
@@Louiegirl im happy to hear it's all going well!! your snakes sound so beautiful!
The Barking Lizard was so cute!!!!
When he was talking about the Nile monitors changing its skull shape as it grew it reminded me of what Tyrannosaurs must have done.
Honestly, this channel has everything I want, I'm so happy I came across this.
I love how excited he is to be talking about his job. You can tell it’s also a passion of his. This is the sort of company I want to purchase from.
“You look really bleed-y. I can make that happen.” 😂😂
I like this guy!!! He clearly knows what hes talking about and he's super into his work! I love it! I need to check out Zilla's products now! I've been looking to upgrade for my crested geckos
Wow, this guy is amazing. I love his passion for critters. So cool.
Great video as always. I’m looking forward to seeing your 2019 breeding plans.
Hi I used to hate reptiles but watching Your vids now I quite like em
😄😄
YOU SHOULD GET ONE!
Once you have one, you want another one immediately lol.
Its such an addictive hobby.
I'd have a reptile over a dog any day, lol. I got a leopard gecko, then I got a crested gecko, and then I ended up with a bearded dragon. Then I decided to dedicate my instagram to my animals and its grown so much in just a couple weeks. I'm meeting tons of other keepers and reptile lovers. There's nothing else like them, they're all so different with their personalities and reptile people are awesome too. 😊 Just do it, get you one, but do your research first because sellers don't always have the right info.
That is amazing. What a good company. I am much happier buying their products now. Also, holy God, two miniature Rodans!
Dream. Job. Found. Ryan, I'm coming for your job!
Borneo Earless Monitor
now that sounds like an animal my teacher doesn't know
i'll use that one for my research paper (i get an automatic 100 on report card if the animal isn't one the teacher already knows)
Edit: sorry for forgetting to update this. So anyways apparently my teacher already knew about the monitor, but I wrote the paper as well as I could using lots of research so he gave me a 100.
😂 hope you get that 💯
Yeah, good luck! Please tell us if he did know or not!
If you need any more weird species to trip up your teacher let me know! There are plenty of species out there that still don’t have scientific names yet. Your teacher couldn’t possibly know the name of an unnamed species! They are generally labeled with their genus and the location they were discovered because they don’t have a species name for them yet. For example Pamphobeteus sp. machala is a species of tarantula found in machala that has yet to be given a name. I’ve actually owned one of these, the males are about 95% purple! Unfortunately mine was female so she was just a plain brown.
@@alexcrowder1673 oh right I forgot to update on this. I did the project already and he did know the animal already but he said it was well written so I got a good grade on it.
Alex Crowder they do have a name, at least now they do. "purple bloom"
I love the raw joy in their voices it’s so pure
There's a channel called stinnet's sticks. He carves hyper realistic snakes into walking sticks.
Aubrey Ackermann thanks for the suggestion!!!! I’m an artist and snake owner myself so I’ll be binge watching him as well 👍😌🐍✨
Ryan is so passionate about all of the animals and clearly takes a massive amount of effort to learn all he can about them and their proper husbandry. Thank you so much for showing us this behind the scenes of Zilla. It is clear the people that work and create for Zilla are awesome. :)
Ryan seems like such a chill dude who’s full of passion and knowledge!
I know I'm 2 years late, but damn that dude is awesome. Love a passionate person making stuff better for our small world.
I just want to be friends with this man, he sounds so fun and inspiring and educated in his field.
this was too cool.
love finding out about species i didn't know existed. Ryan seems super cool too.
"why do you think that's scary?"
it's all i have, dangit, don't laugh at me!
Could you please make a video on how to make a good mexican black kingsnake enclosure?
Ola Berg Telemark Yes, I’d love it! 😍
She touched on it briefly in her 2019 reptile room tour part 1 video.
I love watching people who are passionate about something get to geek out about said passion.
Absolutely great video. I loved the super-rare monitors the most, of course. They really do look like little dragons. I hope Ryan and others are successful in breeding them so I can have one without paying a fortune XD
RockerCatErrorEncountered 404 haha that’s what I was thinking lol!
The only “pet” reptile I’ve ever had was a blue tongue lizard
It was it really a pet because it was wild and just lived in a tube under some outdoor stairs but I still loved him
Tiger Spirt Aw that’s sweet
Wow! It was super cool to see the facility that aqueon tanks are made in, since every tank I currently have my aquatic babies in are aqueon tanks! I didn't know they were all handmade, that's super cool to find out!
More tours with Ryan. Definitely good energy
Ryan seems totally legit. Nice to see a righteous dude heading up much of such a big company.
I love how companies take time out of their day to do this, I loved Kennans vid with zoo med, and this one is amazing as well. Just cool to see they actually care for their reptiles.
I just absolutely love how excited this guy is about his job!!
Totally shocked that a big company really cares about the effectiveness of their products. Well done Zilla!. Could not believe when he pulled out the Borneo earless monitors.
Another gem. Ryan deserves a raise. You hear me zilla?
I'm blown away by how incredible the red eyed crocodile skink looks. I've never heard of this lizard before somehow, but its just gorgeous- a tiny little dragon. I've not kept lizards since I was a child but I think they may end up on my bucket list as an animal I'd like to own someday. what a lovely little animal.
So right about captive breeding, though. I hope the earless monitors have better luck with breeding in the future! theyre a beautiful animal and i hope that their population can be helped by passionate herp keepers in the future.
Thank you so much for opening my eyes to the Borneo Earless Moniter. I've been obsessed with them for days and a lot of my friends mostly agree that, yes, they do look kind of like a dragon. Shame they're so rare, though.
I would love to spend the day with Ryan! So knowledgeable it’s impressive
He's hilarious, he could have a show of his own lol. I love him lol
That is an impressive facility. Very impressive. Good to see the passion and work that goes into it, too.
This is the guy that got me into snakes! He is an awesome guy and did a presentation for our group through MAHS. I will always be grateful for Ryan!
Ryan's got such an excellent sense of humor, it made this video so much fun to watch... Especially the outtakes xD
Not only the lizards are funny, but this guy is hilarious. We need to see more of him
That was awesome to know that the products are really tested and tried, not just made pretty and sold for the sake of being sold and replaced.
Also very nice enclosures and tanks. I wish I could get such a nice one for my snake.
Aww Emily is so cute and the guy from Zilla is so passionate and really fun to watch i bet Emily had fun learning about this cool place
I have a 2.5 aqueon tank on my nightstand I haven't done anything with. Bought at a close out at Petco. This has inspired me to do something with it!
Zilla for life! I use all their products and can 100% vouch for everything Ryan says!
OMG the earless is so BEAUTIFUL I have only seen pictures of them. I have been researching them for years! Monitors are my Passion
Awesome video- could have listened to him talk all day and it’s really nice how knowledgeable and enthusiastic Zilla is about their products and reptiles. Wonderful fascinating collab ❤️👍
This video is my favorite from Snake Discovery! I was thoroughly amused and educated! Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us!
That rare lizard, the Borneo Earless Monitor, was sooo cool! They look like mini dinosaurs! 😃🦕🦖👍
I LOVED these tour videos! I got to see some species of reptiles I never thought I'd be interested in! Great job, y'all! 😁🐍🦎
I love the reptile community because unlike other exotics communities the very large majority of breeders know what they are talking about super passionate and don't tell the buyers lies to make them sound easier to keep so more people will buy
This channel is just amazing. I should know, because i am a HUUUUUGE reptile lover. My favourite animal is probably the amazing Blue Tongue Skink!
This Channel IS So Enthusiastic For Anyone Who Is Scared Of Any Reptiles. Keep It Up @Snake Discovery!
I love this guy, so fun and easy to listen to.
My crested gecko loves the zilla perches and plants I got for her. So many cool little lizards in this vid!
Super cool! That guy was so good on camera, and omg, those outtakes! XD
I love Zilla products, I have a Zilla front opening tank ( 12” x 12” x18”) vivarium for my mourning gecko “ Applegridge”.And I just got a Zilla 18” x 18” x 25” for my Crestie “ Balornus” .
Love these tours also so interesting.
I've always loved animals, but this channel has helped me with my fear of lizards. I now own a leopard gecko, and a bearded dragon. I'm also wanting a crested gecko.
I'm from Florida, and all of my life I was terrified of the anoles here. Now I don't run for my life when I see one. I've been really wanting to get into herpetology.
Thanks Emily ❤
I started liking snakes a year ago and I saw your channel and I love it!
Thanks to you I have 2 scaleless corns 1 rainbow boa and 3 milks wild type and 2 black headed pyrhons
You've chosen such good people for this little series, they're so passionate it's a joy to listen to!
Love your channel and thanks for the awesome tour at Zella
What an awesome tour! So knowledgeable and interesting! Thank you for this!
Those tank assembly crews are so efficient, holy cow! What a cool place 😎
I live in Georgia and LOVE the Amphibian Foundation! It's an incredible facility and Mark, the founder is an amazing guy! I have the privilege of taking a master herpetology course through them! I highly recommend you going there when you get the chance!
I literally would pay so much money JUST to hang out in that warm room. That is so amazing.
Everything was adorable Emily And Ed.
I love how excited you get about each animal, Emily. I'd be just as bad wanting to hold everything. It must have been exciting. It's great! Thank you!
Just a quick comment to say that I really, really enjoy your videos! Zilla products are pretty amazing (though I only have some of their accessories), and while I have no doubts in my mind their tanks are some of the best made, I.....find myself only considering getting one if there's a sale of some sort on them, if you get my meaning 🤔😯😔. Some day though! I have a soon to be 7 year old male Eastern Garter, and am considering adding an Eastern Black Rat as another companion. THANK YOU for all you do in giving us fab videos and excellent information!!
Zilla has so many incredible products, absolutely love their front opening enclosures.
Very cool tour love the diversity of reptiles and amphibians Zilla has! Cool stuff!
I would cherish the opportunity to have their tanks! I’ve wished, for too many years to count, that we had their tanks for our beautiful parrots. Can you imagine having tanks like this for exotic birds? Having the opportunity to see them, from all angles? My dream! Thank you for the tour! What a fun chance to see behind the scenes! Much love, Shelbie =)❤️👻🎃
That was awesome! Ryan is such a cool guy and his enthusiasm is infectious! I've never been a reptile person before, but your videos are amongst those I look forward to the most every week. Thanks for being awesome people and teaching me so much about stuff I didn't even know I was really interested in!
You are my favorite reptile channel 😃😃😃😃🙂
Love the video like always thanks for uploading
I love this channel so much! The video quality is excellent!! And I love all the memes lol
Thank you guys for being genuinely awesome and sharing your love for the hobby while educating in a fun way!❤❤😁
"I thought I was cute!" He's adorable ❤️
Love it! Awesome to see how the manufacturers design and study their products. Great idea, thank you.
Oh my goodness!! I just read about the Borneo Monitors! I thought they looked like little dragons and are so beautiful!
I loved how he explained everything. He was very thorough. Very funny.
