I graduated from a Mix... and I love my surge! The way I typically throw my surge (Purple and Pink in colour scheme.) is by keeping my arm straight (with the assistance of a wrist guard.). I love how it hooks just enough to hit the pocket. I am also gradually learning how to spare certain left over pins with it too, I don't do any fancy spiral spins on my release. (It is not comfortable for me at all.) Since adjusting my approach? I have seen it glide through to it's best potential. (Will get myself a new one next year as my beloved first either has to be re surfaced... or kept as a spare ball. Either way, I will never get rid of it.) Very good ball for those who just bowl for fun but also gives them the equal opportunity to boost their scores with ample amounts of practice . ^^ I don't bother looking at arrows (as I actually have issues seeing them with my eye sight... (They get lost to me in the reflection of the lights etc.) So I just look at the pocket itself. haha. Most of the time? It works like a dream.
im glad i found this review, thanks i wanted to see the difference between the Hustle wine i have and an older Tropical Breeze which should be very similar to the Surge. This is very helpful on what i needed to see THANKS
@NewVisionLCS not sure what volume you bowl on, but I guarantee it'll be the most consistent and reliable ball in your bag through 2nd and 3rd games of league.
@NewVisionLCS being recreational and your first ball being a Surge, depends on what kind of money you're looking to spend and if you're searching for a specific brand. I'd go with something that has a duller cover, like a solid or hybrid, that's in the next price point (around $120-140 or so). Don't think you need anything super strong
I have a Hustle Camo and love that ball when lanes start drying up. I also have an old Tropical Breeze and I don’t really match up with it, too much over and under. Is the Tropical Surge a little stronger than the old Tropical Breeze?

Glad I could help 🙂
Tropical Surge seems better for 2 handed bowler (like myself).
Hoping so because I just bought it.
Nice video I have Phase 2 Zen all the bigger stuff but I also have these when the lanes are torched I like them.😊
Thanks for the tips.
Just bought a surge!
Tropical Surge with 1000 grit surface and shot my 3rd 300 game
I just put 1000 grit surface pad to mine to get more grip

@@jdizzlef83 I'm just a recreational bowler, bowling on whatever the house pattern is. I just got tires of using house balls and rental shoes.
@@jdizzlef83 what would be a good second ball in a two ball setup with this ball? I throw around 15mph and low rev.

Tropical Surge should be a little stronger than the Breeze

Throw it slower or put more spin
