- It's Tuesday, time for a video. I will be carving an eagle with my chainsaw and doing the finish work too! I am a chainsaw carver in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I have been carving full time since 2013 and love it! Check out all of my vlogs and videos, but don't forget to subscribe!

Carved my second eagle today Chad , took me all day but it turned out well , my favorite carving so far. All thanks to you bud 👍 I'm at about 120 carvings so far , omw to 5000 hopefully . John

Hi Eric, we are doing good! Hope you guys are doing well too!! I haven't been carving much anymore, the doctor told me to find a new career because my joints are shot.😒 So my wife and I got our realtor licenses and are selling homes now. It's a lot easier on my joints.👍

And I’m not going to lie, bcuz I do miss your videos, I wish you were still carving.
I was still thinking of still doing UA-cam videos with less chainsaw and more hand carving. I would be less stress on the body and not carving as a job, more as a hobby.
Great video! Do you seal the wood with anything? What kind of wood do you use for chainsaw carving?
I use white pine or cedar, but you can carve any kind of wood. I seal them with timber oil, spar, or paint.
