Great little truck! i've had 2 of the Quantum flux rally cars for about a year and the on road Flux also. They have never let me down and I drive them hard on 4s. Fun fact: Maverick is a division of HPI and you will find some HPI parts are interchangeable.
Great little truck for the money, i have the Q2 MT version in green ( same truck just different body & wing ). Really like the why it drives, not had any issues with the new stock radio they supply. I do like the tyres & how the perform.
Yerhh I think the changes they have made have really been for the better. Yes tires are awesome and get the power down well. RTR radios are great if you only have a few RC's. I use my own just for ease of use when I'm recording.
Not sure top speed as I haven't speed ran it yet. It's pretty quick as you can see in the video I think. The overall build quality are good. But I later found out that the drive shaft I broke on first run are the stock black ones. It is worth buying the spring steel upgraded ones. Just a shame it seems you have to do this out the box. Overall for a budget basher I think it is pretty good for the price point.
@@Lander76 I have done. They are sending out replacements. The spring steel ones aint cheap but I have ordered them as well. The thing is with this truck is it drives so well. It is far from an extreme basher, but light bashing and ripping around it is on point.
@ Spur gear fused it self to Slipper clutch Midway through 1st Battery pack. Slipper Shaft Bearings Broke up. The Drive Cups for the Centre Shafts came loose (not big deal) Front amd Rear Crown pinion gear came loose with that 2.6mm screw. Tighten them both up Back one Stayed ok. Front one came loose again. Stripped the Crown Diff Gear. Second time rebuild of the Front diff crown, it chipped a tooth just driving on flat road. Also the Front Diff Bearings Broke apart. I am now on my Third including original front Diff case / crown & Crown pinion . Each Failure within 1 battery pack per issue.
@@mark-1rc502 wow that is not good. Think I may sell mine on. Thought you may just be unlucky but I know a few people who have had a nightmare with this car. Sorry bud.
@ Yeah me too i sold my MT because i had no major issues with that one the XT somebody will put me down on Ebay if it goes wrong on them in 30 days. When i dont even get one full battery pack out of it . I ran the 16t pinion which is quite fast but knackered the bearings 🤓. I feel like throwing it away , i cant risk my feedback score on ebay to sell it. Certainly in uk, i think it will be a hard sell.
Not sure if anyone feels this way, and I really hate to complain, but that added sound effect of the close up shots is a really annoying sound. I would rather hear nails on a chalkboard. Other than that its an great video.
@troypye2762 thanks for the feedback. it's not a sound effect. It is slowed down noise of the car to match the slow down footage. If it was just silent it would be worse imo. Sorry it bugs you.
Thanks for sharing. Always interesting to get an in-depth view into something new. Seems like a fun little off-road basher.
Hell yerhh. For the price point it is on point imo.
@@FullOnRC I agree!

Yerhh I have the rally and the on road one too. Both great cars. Love my rally car.

Looks like a nice little rig Paul, what's the overall build quality like? What is the top speed?

@@FullOnRC I know what you're saying about the driveshafts, they should hold up out of the box. Maybe raise the issue with Maverick?

@@FullOnRC Yeah I like the look of it and the handling seems great and the tranny sounds smooth. It's a good buy for 250. I might pick one up🤔
I like the way it Drives, but mine has been an absolute pig since day 1
What problems have you had with it. I have heard a few people have many issues out the box?

@@mark-1rc502 Man that is a nightmare. I am in the same boat. I have the new FTX Crossbow that I still haven't ran that I think I will sell on.
